KOEI JP has revealed on their official website the HQ version of the exclusive trailer that was unveiled at the London MCM Expo by Tecmo Koei Europe recently. DW7 TRAILER ANALYSIS: First off, the trailer seems to be focusing on the Battle of Chang Ban with other events like Chi Bi occurring between. Starting with Koei's logo, Zhao Yun's introduction is revealed with him fleeing mounted from a pursuing Wei army at Chang Ban which he's most historically famed for rescuing Liu Bei's son. After being knocked to the floor running along the wall with an infant Liu Chan strapped to his waist, he's attacked by a chain from what seems like Xu Huang with his wield. Zhao Yun then takes the chance to grab the chain and surprisingly to viewers, randomly, Shu's hero swings and kicks a horse in the face causing damage to the chasing Wei force. From there, weapons scatter in the air for which Zhao Yun grabs two of them which ends the current scenario for the meanwhile. Switching scenes to Wei's burning fleet at Chi Bi, the focus then switches to the new kingdom of Jin showing the younger brother Sima Zhao with his sword, then to his older brother Sima Shi in a similar situation. Followed by a mysterious masked person likely belonging to Jin performing a kind of ritual dance, you then briefly see the back view of someone resembling Sun Quan from the past game in an open field. The last parts of the footage reveals Liu Bei and Zhang Fei meeting up with Guan Yu who's attacked by Wei soldiers. Guan Yu easily slays them standing by his mount Red Hare. The three oath brothers then stand side-by-side with Liu Bei then throwing a sword towards the screen. The trailer then returns back to Chang Ban but in this case on Chang Ban Bridge for which Shu character Zhang Fei is most renown for. A serious-looking Zhao Yun and fellow Shu officer Zhang Fei are alone on one side of the bridge facing towards Wei general Xiahou Dun who is mounted, and with a Wei force. Charging towards Xiahou Dun, Zhao Yun sweeps the men in front of him and finally deadlocks with the jumping Xiahou Dun mid-air which creates an explosive effect and concludes the official trailer with the Shin Sangokumusou 6 logo. DW7 TRAILER POINTERS: *The music which plays has been entitled on the official Japanese site as the ''Opening'' bringing assumptions that the trailer is part of or perhaps is exactly the opening of Dynasty Warriors 7. *The second real pointer is the character who resembles Xu Huang from the series. However, he's this time without an axe as his weapon, he seems to be carrying a chain. *Zhao Yun shockingly kicks a horse in the face which then introduces the new weapon system found as a new feature revealed beforehand, as he collects two weapons whilst airborne. In Dynasty Warriors 7 you're able to equip and switch between weapons similar to that of the Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce video game. *Sima Zhao as well as Sima Shi are shown as being part of the late era new Jin kingdom. *Sima Shi, Sima Yi's older son, is seen without his eye mask which in history he was known to die from a swollen eye. This shows and further proves Koei are altering character appearances for the first time. *A mysterious masked man is shown with Sima Zhao and Shi and also dressed in torquoise blue, the colour of Jin. The person could even be a character who has nothing really to do with DW7, but be part of the trailer. We've seen past openings like Dynasty Warriors 3 where a ritual is performed at the beginning by a uniquely dressed individual. *The gentleman standing in an open field very highly resembles fans of Wu leader, Sun Quan. His latest appearance in Dynasty Warriors 6 with his hair style and outfit further contribute to it later being announced it could be indeed him. *Lu Bu's mount Red Hare is shown with armour. *Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and Guan Yu are shown. Both Zhang Fei and Guan Yu are holding the weapons we've in the past known for them to have. Although Liu Bei could well have his twin swords back, he's only shown throwing a single weapon. *Xiahou Dun is seen in the trailer at the end and to fan pleasure he once again has his sword back. This is confirmed as the official trailer already? I thought they'd just took some snippets from the real thing for this teaser? It's not the complete one? |

This is the first official trailer from KOEI Japan. They never titled it as the opening. If you're referring to my first pointer about the music being in the trailer titled ''Opening'', I never clarified with undefeatable evidence, but the choice of music title and the fact they've put it all together which looks very much like an opening. Then yes like I said it's just an assumption it's indeed part (like the ending) of the intro. At least the music is going to be in the intro like the title suggests. |

I believe that masked Jin officer is Female. Can it be Sima Shi's Wife? or Sima Yi's Wife? |

The fact that it is a generic character has been demonstrated for some time. The character who dances on the trailer wearing the same outfit that other generic character:

Yeah it's pretty much a generic if it were a real character they would have been revealed by now. |

The character is actually Yoshimitsu from Tekken because theyve run out of Wei characters to pinch for their roster instead haha. All jokes aside im actually still clinging to hope its not a generic... i mean why feature a generic in such a big promotional video unless to tease their fans as we all know how quickly rumour becomes "truth" where internet chat is concerned. |

Yet it seems to be a generic character... There would be no incentive to include a character wearing the same outfit as many other generic officers. Also, I do not see myself playing a character without knowing his face. |

Well actually Shu is the best, Wu not so much They may last the longest but that's because of their terrain, they needed Shu to survive (Or they needed to take Shu) |
