Zhou Cang didn't do that much for Shu, i mean he never really exsisted except in the novel and in that he just followed Guan Yu around and died with him, Liao Hua did much more then that.

This is one of the reasons I liked Renbu, it was always silky and smooth in its attacks.
That was my least favourite part of DW6. It just felt too smooth to me, attacks didn't feel like they connected properly and stuff. I prefer it to be sharper like the PS2 games.
Seems kinda contradictory, no? The moves flow so well they don't feel like they flow at all, but you want them to flow well so you'd rather it be more abrupt. That's what I kinda got from this.

Granted, I like both way. Renbu, for whatever reason, just felt more natural to me. Both systems feel terribly repetitive either way.

Exactly.

We need everyone else to return first.

If we had everyone revealed so far + missing characters, I would be more than happy. The brand new character count is higher than ever already.

Actually what we REALLY need is LOTS of levels, and variants of levels.

Replay on DW6 was so poor with so few levels to play on :(

Dynasty Warriors 7 (真・三國無双6)
As revealed in the latest PV, the bonus for grabbing among the first copies of Shin Sangokumusou 6 (Dynasty Warriors 7) is a free DLC (downloadable content) code of Zhao Yun's original costume from Dynasty Warriors 1.

hmmm just wishful thinking, but maybe this means future DLC will be costumes from dw2/3/4/5 etc for other characters. I would like that :)

anyways, whoa Xun Yu and Zhou Cang outta the pic? Interesting.
with Zhou Cang out i doubt Liao Hua will be in.
Umm, why? I doubt he's in because I don't think there are many more spots for Shu. How does Zhou Cang have anything to do with it?

Quote:

im really counting Koei on new wei characters like LI DIAN, Yu Jin, Yue Jin. my 3 biggest wishes for Wei.
Yu Jin and Yue Jin seem to be confirmed as generic.
hmm i dunno personal opinions i guess. Even tho Liao Hua lived longer and had more things to do in the later era, he was more like the left hand of Guan Yu. I feel like ZHou Cang is his right hand and Zhou cang was like his 1st lieutenant while Liao hua was like his 2nd.
Anyways im just saying that imo i think Zhou Cang had more contributions to Shu than Liao Hua did by a tiny bit.
But i know he lived longer so I guess koei still has a good enough reason to put him in.

and yeah i think i saw yue jin and yu jin as generic sigh. But Li Dian better be in.
Yeah Li Dian and Jia Xu are two additions that I`m waiting too long. With Jia Xu addition for me Wei priority is Li Dian, but if he won`t be in DW7... so be it. Also I`m considering Cao Hong and Man Chong as characters that have a good potential for being playable Wei characters. Guo Jia seems won`t be playable, but he could be quite unique for generic. Too bad that Yu Jin is still generic... (why Koei made this unnecessary Mu Wang if they could make him perfect Yu Jin  )

When I said they didn't connect properly I meant as is not feeling like hit enemies proper. Every weapon had a blunt feeling about it. But it seems that they look sharper in DW7.

Wasn't it already confirmed everybody will return, though? Zuo Ci's kinda the oddball in that case, but I don't think there should be any reason to doubt the rest of the cast won't come back. The only one we somewhat have to worry about at the moment is Pang De, as he hasn't been seen yet amongst the DW6 cuts.

@Benzod: Ooooh, ok that makes sense. I knew I must have been misunderstanding you, I just wasn't sure what you meant. I agree completely though, a lot of the attacks didn't feel right, like there wasn't enough force behind them to be a proper fighting style. I felt that way about Zhao Yun's DW6 moveset especially.

Am I the only one that really hopes they have the option for JP voices and subtitles?

Also I mentioned this before but I am curious if Pang De will return as he was even left out of the Generic Officers in 6.

I really cannot wait for this game, I will have to take a week off from work the day it comes out :woot:

15 - 25 stages... but how many stages will be shared? If we are at least around the figure of stages in DW5 I will be more than happy.

I fully intend to create my own little musous modes for evey character in free mode - jot down 5 or 6 levels chronologically they are involved in, and play through them in order :D

Liked what I saw in the PV.

Gameplay looks flashy enough, some of the weapons I saw used looked pretty fun to use, etc.

Not bad, keep it coming KOEI :sly:

By the way, on the Shu Overture you can see the three brothers. Guan Yu looks awesome, much like his DW4/5, and he keeps his weapon obviously. I'm glad he doesn't look ridiculously huge this time around, just a taller man. Him and Lu Bu were so wierdly big in DW6.

Zhang Fei looks odd, though you've all seen him in the PV. I've never been a fan of his appearance but his beastly power and moveset. Most likely, that'll be the same in DW7. Two sided serpent spear is strange still, but all the more badass.

Liu Bei looks awesome. Very "scion of the imperial family" esque. Though I agree, a mustache and goatee would make him look all the more better. It remains to be seen if he has one sword or two. My guess is two, as the picture looks like he's holding two swords in a somewhat outward fashion, and the fact that he used two swords historically, and being such an important historical figure, it seems like something Koei would keep up.

They are usually out on Wednesdays in Japan (Tuesday nights in the US/Early hours of Wednesday morning in the UK)

And to answer your earlier question some of the larger stages in Kingdom mode will be split between characters - Zhang Fei & Zhao Yun in Chang Ban for example.

I reckon battles such as Chi Bi will probably be split as well.

ino this is a bit off subject but and i apologise if its already been asked...but when normally does the EU site get updated? is it tomorrow as i heard it could be....

btw... I WANT ZUO CI BACK....i loved him in DW5....i can understand that he was over-powered but how different he was to the other characters made him fun to use....as you can gve him relation to Shu and Wei...it'd be interesting to play as him..

So i'm hoping that because they sed all DW5 cast is returning, he shall be one to join them....

yeah couldnt agree more... dynasty warriors 4 had the sharpest feel to it... and when ended your musou with say Xiahou Dun it make like a boom noise... kinda made you feel alot more powerful and like you were inflicting alot more damage

Probably sometime Wednesday next week or the week after. That's usually the day when Famitsu comes out in Japan, or at least I think so.

Oh and btw Tai Jian, how come you're using the same signature as Prince of Wei?

This was it! Though not blunt, but rather, too sharp. The feeling of silky smooth made it feel wrong because you didn't have any connection between weapon and enemy. It was almost like your weapon just sortof passed through them and they got hurt, rather then your weapon actually hit them.

That connection was one of the things i missed so much in 6, i could swing and swing and swing, and enemy troops would die and die and die, and i wouldn't feel the action as much as when, say, Zhao Yun slams down his spear for an SSSST and you get that powerful boom and rumble, and everyone flies up. It was lacking in 6, even the heavy weapons felt like you were just kindof idly waving it about and crowds fall over.

It is going to be updated tomorrow with all Jia Xu, Yue Ying etc from the last reveal.

There is a lot of doubt over Zuo Ci because we have been told that there will be no 'guest' characters.
Because Zuo Ci was only in DW5 and then has only since appeared in the Warriors Orochi games it is likely that he is now classified as a 'guest' character and therefore will not return.

However, we don't know this for certain.

I know some stages will be split into 2 parts, but did koei say anything about there being a mission with 3 parts? They could easily make Chi Bi a 3 part mission with all the crap that went on, same with He Fei and Guan Du.

Either way, you shouldn't be taking other people's signatures in the first place, temporary or not, cause you're pretty much stealing other people's hard work.

Anyways, I don't think that Zuo Ci has been transfered as a 'guest' character for the Warriors Orochi series. Those guys are usually from ancient history or mythology, definitely way long before the Three Kingdoms era.

Zuo Ci on the other hand, was still alive and present during the Three Kingdoms era, spending most of his time aiding Liu Bei and harassing Cao Cao. Not entirely sure if that's what he did in real life or even the novel. But either way, I think he's earned a place within the present roster of DW characters. But that's just my opinion.
