It is pretty sucky that Wei only has Jia Xu as a new character unless you count Cai Wenji who appeared before in Strikeforce.
does it really make any sense that the kingdom that was historically the largest of the 3 to have the least amount of characters?
Most of the officers (if not all of them) under the "Jin" kingdom are technically Wei officers since KOEI's version of the "Jin kingdom" is actually "later era Cao Wei".
Yea so Wei will have the most unique generals really and chronicle mode I have a good feeling you'll get to play them in some Wei battles and correct me if I'm wrong but Chronicle Mode can be used as Musou mode right? Or that's not confirmed? And I really want them to confirm Free mode so I can stop worrying?

That and the online feature of Chronicle Mode.
I mean, how will that work out? What's Chronicle Mode exactly? Won't you have like several battles in one Chronicle Mode run? If that's the case, how can you progress with someone else online? Or is it like a solo player progress and you can invite some random guy to bash some skulls with you.
And even then, how will the leveling work?
I would like to know all this. Sadly this kind of info won't be revealed unless we've already have the game itself and playing it...^^

I know it's a dumb thing revealing his source, but he may have say if he get this for reliable source or not.
Well, let's don't care about rumors and wait for february the 3rd ;)

Reverie, isn't the Chronicle mode called "Conquest mode" in the non-japanese country ? (according to the official european website)

@Chen_Stormstout : the newly called "conquest mode" consists of a China map, divided in dozens of squares. You have to move from one square to another to make a link between every towns, thus conquering China. From what I understood, each square represents one battle and you have to clear it to step to next square.

I pray to God that we can follow Chronicle mode historically to make every character have their own sort of musou mode, and not every one branches into an alternate history.

Because, of course, I want to play as Jiang Wei and see what would happen if the northern campaign worked and Shu took Chang An. But I also just want to follow the story of my favorite guys like Zhao Yun and Zhang Liao.

Yeahhhh Lu Xun an Liu Bei share the same moveset... :/ Posted Image Posted Image
One move look similar. It doesn't necessary means that they have the exact same movesets. Stop with this guys. I personnaly prefered Lu Xun with twin blades, and the same goes for Liu Bei. I'm fine with this ! And I'm sure the moves won't be the same. EDIT : And who knows, they may have change Lu Xun's move since they took the screenshot. (I don't think so but it remains possible)
Personally I really liked Lu Xuns moveset in DW6. I was very unique at least
Well people cried and wined how "bad" DW6 was so they just went back to the old moveset and changed a few things. I personally like the most of the moveset in 6 but who am I right? I mean lets make everyone flat and half brain dead again.
Yeah lets all go back to DW6 where you got to hit one button over and over again and effectively that would allow access to everything every single characters moveset had to offer and even then that wasnt much considering at least a third of them had exactly the same movesets at one of the other characters you already played to unlock them in the first place.

Charge attacks are not braindead... you had the variation of range attack charges, area attack charges as well as other variations allowing characters to have more adaptability. With Dian Wei for example he had something for every situation before... with DW6 he simply swung his flail around and if someone broke his combo, he would have to again start swinging his flail around and repeat the same process for the entire game - the vast majority condemned the DW6 combat and for good reason... the fact people fear clones like never before is all down to the black sheep abomonation that was DW6 for the series.
Not once did I say charge attacks were braindead, mattera fact when I said the braindead statement..I wasn't even talking about movesets.

DW6 a abomination? I think that's a bit much. The only problem I had with 6 was the cloned movesets but is wasn't to the point that made the game as a whole suck. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the game but I did and I didn't have alot of problems with it.

The hell, why would they call it Conquest Mode? Conquest isn't even the goal, especially if you're able to continue playing after beating the "story" of that mode. Not very conquest-like.

Yeah I found it weird first time I saw it too...
But the translators made that choice. (for those who didn't see the name changing of this mode there is a proof on the official website --> System --> weapons)

Haha those people complaining about the others tagging smusou6 with the new information need to have the foresight to understand that is the society we live in nowadays. Leaking things is convenient for them, but it's just as easy for others to get this information and stand on a virtual pedestal and shout it over the interwebs.

Assuming the list is correct, yes, fifteen characters is enough. The disappointing thing is so many of them are for 230+AD. Basically we have DW7 - The Late Years. That's what this one will be noted for, not expanding the earlier part of the game (hence no Yuan Shu for example).

re: Chronicle Mode. I'm curious how personalized they are making this for the characters. It's going to get dull if it's the same experience and it's not at least a little catered to the character you chose (meaning they get battles that they would naturally be in / alive for, and they run into relevant allies / enemies). This is why DW3 + 5 Musou Mode were simple yet brilliant; get the characters in the battles they were actually involved in, while allowing the characters to grow and max out by the time they are done.

Let this list aside. We'll see if it's true or not.
Tell all the pages to say the same thing is useless.

According to the official european website :
"Chronicle mode" becomes "Conquest mode"
and
"Kingdom/Musou mode" becomes "Story mode"

=o

And for the one asking for explanation about Conquest mode, there is a page on the website detailing it. (there is a button on the bottom right of outline's last page)

Like Seraphil said . . . I WILL be expecting Lady bu AND Guan Suo. I'm most excited about Lady bu though because aside from Wang Yuanji, there were no other new females. I feel like the only reason people don't believe this list, is because most would think the few remaining characters would hold more importance from history/novel.

Seeing that neither Guan Yu, nor Sun Quan has yet to be revealed, there additions are very likely.

They said that would be more than 60 characters.
I've noticed that already are 46 confirmed with they own new costumes...
And If I'm not wrong... the remaning characters are: Shu: Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, Guan Ping, Pan tong & Wei yan On Wu: Gan Ning, Sun Jian, Sun Quan, Huang Gai & On Wei: Xu zhu, Xu huang, Cao pi & Pang De. And others "Lu bu and... Diao Chan"...
60. Can somebody tell me if its probably that they add Yue Jin or Yu Jin or other Characters? >.< (I'm not sure about Pang De >.<

And about soldiers bodyguards, any news?

No other new females? What are Cai Wenji + Bao Sanniang?

4 / 15 adds were females. And Xing Cai was brought back.

Yu Jin and Yue Jin are confirmed as generic characters.
From a list of rumors, Pang De and Zuo Ci would be removed.

So after revealing her, they decided to cut Bao Sanniang again ? =D

Well, joke aside, what about just waiting and not speaking of any list anymore ? =D

You're welcome ;)

Again about Conquest mode, I read on the official site :
"Some battles pit your skills against one powerful figure out of history"

What do you guys think it means ?
Fighting against characters like Nu Wa ?

Or just some cheated Lu Bus ?

think of Chronicle/Conquest Mode as Officer Mode(DW6:E) you have a large map of China in which most spots are battles, some being the historical battle of a character(i.e. Sima Yi=Wu Zhang Plains).among the spots on the map are towns marked in gold.(speculation=>)as you complete a battle adjactent hexagon spots will open up new battles/towns.(/end speculation).at towns you can purchase new weapons from the blacksmith as well as interact with any warriors in the town.depending how you interact with them, they may join you in battle as well or you can serve under them and take part in their battles.after you finish the mode with a character(im guessing its finishing a set amount of battles that were important to the character or unlocking the entire map) you can still play the mode with the character,it doesnt reset.now idk if this is a function in the mode but hopefully you will be able to switch characters you unlocked during the mode and still play on your currently unlocked map(unless the map is a one time unlock).

Thanks for the info...Could I know where I can get the info?
It's for me a shame that Yue Jin & Yu Jin are not going to be playable officers... I think that in the history, they did a lot of great things :(
(I'm sorry if my English writing its wrong..)

See that's the thing ShuLegend. Conquest Mode just sounds like a slightly altered version of Empires. And like I said in my post above I need a somewhat realistic path for my character for me to care about going through Conquest Mode with multiple characters. Be in battles for the character that they would naturally be in / alive for. Basically, put some f'n work into it. If it's just a conquer-all-the-map game where the enemies / allies you run into aren't relevant to your character all, it's going to be lame (and again, basically will be a slightly altered version of Empires).

I realized that I missed Bao, but I knew someone was going to correct me ^_^

As for mentioning the list again, I doubt anyone could keep quiet about it; it's the most anticipated thing left until DW7's reveal.
