a thing I'm confused about for musou mode is what if during chang ban when we start as zhao yun what if we just rush through and kill cao cao. then does the stage just end? how will they ensure that you must play as both zhao yun and zhang fei during the stage. I'm not sure I like the idea(if this is the answer) of being forced to do certain things and not having the freedom to go and fight anywhere in the stage like previous dw games. |

I personally think it'd be in. I mean, it's been in for every previous iteration and it didn't need any sort of announcing. I think DW6 just has everyone on edge (and they certainly have every right to be). I just think those that are worrying could use at least some sort of official word on the status of Free Mode. @Psychic Ranger: Thank you kindly! Edited by Flyentology, Tue Jan 25, 2011 5:12 am.

Good points. I'm a little curious how this is going to work too. If they kept certain things off limits that'd be lame (like if they gave you a map with 1/3rd of entire Chang Ban cutting off the area where Cao Cao is so you couldn't even go over. Not sure how else they could go about ensuring you don't go ahead and off the commander with the first character you start with. Not a fan of this concept either, though I'll try to be optimistic. Hoping that switching is fluid and not done more than once in a stage. |

Thanks Psychic Ranger! I hope we'll get an answer soon(. Actually, I'm hoping that once you pass the Musou Mode with a kingdom, if you repeat it you'll be able to actually choose who you wish to be. Maybe there is other requirements you have to do to have such an option? I sure hope so. |

I also asked about free mode this morning About the "Derp sorry we can't reveal that" response... I don't think that necessarily would mean something "isn't in". In fact that is probably their standard reply when if they answer the question it will reveal something that Koei's PR blitz had planned to reveal later, i.e. they say they can't say anything because they believe the timing to reveal it hasn't come yet. I think if something is definitely cut they'll probably straight out say it since for certain things which they have definitely cut or are not including like color changes ala SW3 or special skills ala DW6 (before anyone panics.. many of these are folded into EX attacks), when directly asked they do say "sorry those aren't there". Someone was mentioning about Zhuge Liang and lefthanded-ness... from Koei's twitter response, "it is not that Zhuge Liang is lefthanded, but more that as a weapon the feather fan was programmed to be held in the left hand" |

I don't think they'd do that because many of the stages usually have you kill the commander most of the time, unless they plan on giving us different victory conditions on each stage, if so I'm all for it as long as the stage isn't limited to a certain space like you said, but I doubt they would do that to us........... right??????

In DW6 version of Chang Ban Cao Cao didn't show up till Liu Bei was a few steps away from the boat. Even if you ran off and killed Cao Cao the stage would not end unless Liu Bei escaped. I think we can expect DW7 to follow this as well. |

Oh hey, has anyone ever actually noticed a difference whether your moral is high or low? I always assumed it affected how quickly off-screen officers lost health, but what exactly does it do? I'd like to see moral actually mean something in this game. I don't think I've really seen a difference. |

@Flyentology: The only difference I've ever seen it that the enemy doesn't have much troops... I'm probably wrong, since any Warriors game I've played I alway kill everything first and leave the boss last- making the Moral bar be huge for me. |

Morale decides how your allies / enemies fight when you're out of screen. But it's also relevant in screen; high morale officers / peons are far more aggressive; conversely if you have a morale 0-2 group running around they will barely have the motivation to attack. |

I honestly thought the Moral bar was only active in 3 and 4 those were the hardest ones out of the bunch 5 and 6 were too easy imo so how do you know whats the moral of the troops in this game? |

Yea c'mon we were just talking about something relevant and important, the lovely morale bar. I do agree with Liu Shay, Morale Bar was never really an issue for me in DW5. I was never in a situation where it mattered. Anytime you were in an adverse situation you just pull out the gameshark I mean the two-three musou tokens that you have saved up and cut through everyone in 5 seconds (dumbest feature add in the entire series that damn musou token just dumbing the game down exponentially). |

I'm looking for a harder Hard mode. Hard mode in DW3 was perfect gameplay. Hard was was decent enough balance in DW4 too. Chaos was always too unforgiving for my liking; had to stray too far away from casual play + forced to play ultra conservative. And Hard in DW5 and DW6 has been too easy. I think it's one of the really hard things to get a handle on for a game designer and obviously it varies on the talent of the gamer, but I just feel they had a better difficulty balance in 3 and 4. |

After hearing about DW7 coming out I started to play DW6 hardcore and decided to try Chaos mode, well it is not as bad as I thought, I actually can beat it most times on the hardest stages with SSX, before I recall it being impossible in one of the earlier versions but it was not too bad. I'll be curious to see how tough it will be in 7, so many things to look forward to! |

Yea, Chaos is not as bad in DW6. It's worse in DW5. Of course, DW6 has Master which is harder than Chaos (I'll admit I haven't played on Master). |

Actually Master is after Hard and then there is Chaos in DW6, in the JP version anyways. Ya must have been 5 that I tried when I got hit once and died O_O |

Ah my bad, you're right. So it's Master I played on DW6, not Chaos. Well I wonder how the morale will work if there is no bar. Did they say it's just not going to be a factor into the game at all, or rather they aren't going to show it via morale bar? You wonder how they'll handle encounters away from you then if morale is 'fixed', I guess just that unit's "strength" vs the others (however they equate that). |
