Yea, Chaos is not as bad in DW6. It's worse in DW5. Of course, DW6 has Master which is harder than Chaos (I'll admit I haven't played on Master).
Actually Master is after Hard and then there is Chaos in DW6, in the JP version anyways. Ya must have been 5 that I tried when I got hit once and died O_O
i had the ps2 version of 6 and it did go hard, master, chaos

the only difference ive seen is how agressive the AI was,in master the AI peons really loved abusing the jump attack, especially with youre back turned(as well as hitting you in the back),it was very rare to actually go through youre renbu and you spent most of the time dodge rolling out of the crowd.in chaos, its the same as master but the AI just did it more often.

looking at the peon models for 7,it seems they are retaining dw6 peons for the most part(1 attack, instead of the 4-hit peons of past titles),so i think you might expect the same in 6 on higher difficulties.

Ah my bad, you're right. So it's Master I played on DW6, not Chaos.

Well I wonder how the morale will work if there is no bar. Did they say it's just not going to be a factor into the game at all, or rather they aren't going to show it via morale bar? You wonder how they'll handle encounters away from you then if morale is 'fixed', I guess just that unit's "strength" vs the others (however they equate that).
The morale bar is gone but the morale system is still in effect, they said you'll be able to tell by the officers emotions when they pop up to say something and who knows maybe the music also like in Dw4.

You know what I hope. I hope they fix the 2 player split screen. On my tv in dw6, player two's character had no feet and both characters were tiny, and player one's character had no top of their head. If Sengoku Basara and manage to fit everything in, DW should too. Never had a issue in other games :/ <---Concerning the wide screen issue.

Sengoku Basara was full screen.

Considering we can easily have online co-op by now, don't think lots of money will go to two player offline. I always hate the split screen thing so fine by me

creaters do forget sometimes that some ppeople ctually have SIBLINGS and friends around. Its just makes a game THAT much better when theres co-op. In fact i think i wouldnt enjoy dynasty warriors this much if it was only 1 player. for example.. the only reason why resident evil 5 was so good, was because of 2 players!! far out imagine devil may cry was 2 player co-op!!! CRAZYYYY

That is indeed true I hate when games say co-op only to find out its online. I hate that **** with a passion, me and my bros enjoy co-op games and every time there's a two player story, you can guarantee that we'll be on it. Thats why I love gears of war it gives both online and offline.

You can always play with your real friends with co-op online :/ I personally wouldn't think co-op for DW7 would be that fun though.

If this game doesn't have spilt-screen I won't be buying it. Games should be shared with in-the-flesh friends. There is no substitute for that.

Good for you to have real friends that would play DW with you and give you the assumption that applies to the rest of the world. And sorry, don't think I will invite friends over to play video games anytime soon

Problem my friend and I would always have in the old DW's is during musou mode one of us would fall behind statistically after a number of stages. Or if we split the power-ups equally we'd both be pretty weak by the 5th battle or so. Easily solved by playing an extra free mode stage or something. But it was fun. I'll always remember our first run through I was Zhang He and he was Xiahou Dun. I can remember He Fei took us forever because we didn't understand when Sun Quan would decide to start going toward your base, he'd just haul ass on his horse and when he got in it was game over without a fight.

DW4 was pretty fun split screen too. Haven't played 5 or 6 with anyone but myself and probably will be the same with 7 too.

Not always true. When I play with a certian friend on split screen, he sucks. I mean like real bad. He goes the opposite way of the fighting. I tell him to use the mini map, and he still doesnt get it. I play COD with him, and he gets no kills and dies every other second, gets bored and starts shooting random objects. yes it is quite sad even for someone who isnt good at video games.
So not everyone has abled friends to play with. Where in comes online co-op, where everyone has the chance to play with other people. The game should indeed have both, but online is definitely a must for me. Strikeforce might not be the same game, but it showed me that online co-op can work great in any DW game.

What's so hard about having online and offline co-op? If DW7 has both then everyone's happy. People who like playing split screen, people who like online and people who don't care can just ignore it.

personally I always find playing spilit screen with friends a great experiene. Once me and a friend played a game of Dynasty Tactics 2 that went for more than 2 hours.

This should have on and offline mp, no questions.

Me and my other half spent countless hours doing co-op on the couch together on DW5, but I would LOVE the option to do so with others online for when she is not up for it.

It only lags if you are playing with someone with a bad connection. I have my moods when I want to play alone and when I want friends to play with me. Every time I buy a new DW game they always come and play with me anyway.Love my friends.

It has been confirmed that there will be on and offline co-op for chronicle mode. ^_^

*sighs* No colour edit mode in dw 7 makes me sad :( I could've made some colour variations to the one-tone colours koei has been using in this installment..... such a pity.......

Anyways... Yeah offline co-op is a must as well as online because what if some people don't have internet or can't afford it? And likewise what if there isn't anyone that wants to play that certain game? For games like this, and of course the fighting game genre, you can't have one without the other.

Free is gonna be out I bet. Something tells me koei have been too busy trying to make the drama and interactions in Story and Conquest mode so spectacular and the graphics so up to date with the current times, they've forgotten about using their imagination for adding more unique weapons and haven't got enough time to put in modes like VS Mode, Free Mode, Challenge, The Archives....

ummm i have two questions that i hope someone can answer....... OK here we go...

#1 - does anyone think that KOEI will make it realistic such as characters head gear falling off (hats, crowns, helmets, even hair dos) and losing parts of clothing from being hit to many times kinda like mortal kombat or FOTNS Kens rage haha that would be realistic to me (and by losing clothing i mean shirts and pants tearing or ripping)

#2 if your in an online co-op (as the only online co-op i have ever played was NG2 sigma) battle and your partner dies or quits lets say dies do you think there will be a chance to save him like in NG2 Sigma or if your partner quits or the connection is lost will you still be able to continue but just with an AI controlled partner just curious can someone answer please

Like i've mentioned before, i play with my mom a lot, and i've tried to get friends to play but we usually don't stick to one game long enough often enough for them to get really good at DW. Fortunately, with how much better 7 is turning out to be than 6, i've got at least one maybe two buying it themselves.

((My mom could whoop all my friend's butts in DW, hands down. for an entire summer, i got burnt out on DW5:empires, and she took it, and played it, almost every day to pass the time when she had other less-attention-required things to do that kept her by her computer.))

The splitscreen has never bothered me and my mom much, though officer yapping covered the 2nd player enemy healthbars, and that was quite annoying.

I like how with a little screwing around in the options with the pc version of WoZ, you can move the camera back farther. (it can get ridiculously far away...)

I have some question regarding the weapon system.

It's said that we can equip 2 weapons during the fight. is both weapon can be changed? or just one weapon, leaving the EX weapon unchangeable?

example like Zhao Yun using his EX weapon, the spear and the other weapon is a sword. can he change the spear with other weapon like the fan or the pike etc? the sword is of course changeable but the EX weapon.....

Both weapons are interchangeable :) I think there were some screenshots that confirmed this, along with the info we've received thus far :)

I wonder if Diao Chan will use a whip moveset similar to that of the dynasty warriors online version, because theres a high chance that she'll be using it instead of her maces (I adore both weapons but I want a whip user in the game damn it!!!).
