I'm just implying that DW7 outfits aren't really bad at all, (it's all about tastes). I just still find it weird for people to hate DW6 and praise about getting their costumes over DW7's. Don't you see the irony in that?
Well, DW6 was not really a good game IMO. I thought it was all right, played until Sun Ce/Zhang Liao hit 50, then got bored because the rest of the characters felt weird (I did play some of the *unique* chars) but it felt bland and very few stages to play on as well.

Just because they hate the game, doesn't mean they have to hate the outfits
At least now I know I don't have to see some characters weird outfits

I love irony

I remember Koei saying way back that the game was about China, so the characters should be speaking Chinese,
WHICH Chinese? That's why it doesn't happen.

Mandarin, because it's the official language of both China and Taiwan, even in regions where other dialects are more common and is taught to all school children in those regions.

Problem?

I don't want to feel like I'm watching Passion of the Christ while playing this game. We shouldn't have to be forced to listen to the game in a foreign language. I approve of a Chinese VA option though.

I was absolutely baffled by the costume update. I totally jism'd when I saw DW1 Zhao Yun totally redone. That was just amazing.

Then I saw the $$$$ for DLC... and I cringed a little only because they are announcing DLC we would have to pay for in the game that is not even out yet. I know it's totally optional to purchase... but still...

Anyways, like I said, awesome update. If they only were to announce DW2/DW3 costumes as well... I think I would totally nerd out. I have always wanted to see Sun Shang Xiang's DW2 outfit return in HD.

I'd love to see Diao Chan's previous attires in the upmost graphical detail and splendour ^_^ It would be an orgasm for the eyes. lol.

Does anyone think that the render of lu xun in his dw 6 attire is a bit...... bulgy??? I mean its great that he's gained some muscle but I think the developers could've made the costume suit his dw 7 physique a little more. Apart from that one rant I'm extatic to use xiao qiao, sima yi, huang zhong, and zhen ji in their dw 6 forms, as they are much better than their dw 7 counterparts IMO.

I really hope that the newbies don't get small changes to their attire like the change in costumes in WOZ. That was pitiful.............. (except for the mystics and the dw cut characters). I want full on costume changes.

Edit: Oh and YAY for downloadable weapons!!!!!!!!!!!!! Twin fans, wire claws, erhu, guqin, zhou yu's sword, jiang wei's sf weapon, batons, hookswords, sai, sleeves, long sword, double-jointed swords, sanjiegun, bladebow, scythe, buckler blade, traditional chinese wu-xi styled sword, tarrot cards, and other insane weapons FTW!!!!!!!!!!

To those wondering what Lu Bu looked like in DW1 look no further although i doubt he'll be as brown when the DLC outfit is released
OMG...

I can definitely see a DW2/DW3 Lu Bu rendition if his old DW1 outfit is redone. All they have to do is give him the original long feathers coming from his head piece... man I am having a heart attack over here... I can't wait for the next update.

It's because they matched his DW6 outfit to his physique, that he looks bulgy. I can definitely tell *something* was different about them to be honest.

I do agree with you on Sima Yi being a disaster in 7, totally forgot about him. I'm definitely in favor of his DW6 outfit.

I'm a bit iffy on the weapons still. How are they going to implement ex bonuses with an actually character coming with it? I mean, I suppose people with swords would naturally excell in that category, but how can it be seperately used?

Oh right maybe they could've toned down lu xun's physique then? He reminds me of the characters in tekken 6 where they were bulgy as hell..... I didn't like it at all.

Personally xiao qiao's current costume is my least favourite, as the colour scheme is too orange (which is why I'm SO PISSED THERE ISN'T A COLOUR EDIT MODE.... stupid koei). Not to mention her pumpkin pants and weird hairdo.

Maybe koei will make patches for characters sharing weapons to have one of the dlc weapons as their expertise weapon, Ex attack and all. It would be great if it happened, but knowing koei....... <_<

Strangely, I like Lu Xun like that ^_^

That's why DLC characters would be great. Why else should there be new *stages* AND *weapons* if there aren't any new characters? Unless they meant new scenarios.

With those weapons, it's still so hard to tell.

Nothing is said that these stages will be added to Kingdom Mode. This may be stages added to the Chronicle Mode for all characters.

If the DLC characters were guests like say, someone from Samurai Warriors, Warriors Orochi or a Tecmo character, that would be OK. They're guest characters, and do not add to the overall gaming experience.

Now IF it was a character actually existing in the ROTK period, THEN there would be problems.

I agree. If characters are added to the Kingdom Mode and some people can not buy this characters in DLC, that would mean they would miss them a piece of story.

Or KOEI is keeping the DLC characters in secret until the release of the game... Seems pretty possible to me!

Regarding Pang De, imagine how angry a large portion of the fanbase would have gotten if, say, Da Qiao was still cut for two games in a row. Just because he isn't the most popular of characters doesn't mean he shouldn't return. Maybe Koei could make his personality a little different from Xu Huang and Zhang Liao, but he still should return.

I'd like the second costumes from DW4 to be DLC too, y'know the ones that were a slight alteration of the characters original outift.

Like how Zhen Ji had a shorter ponytail and dress, and a couple of other adjustments :sly:

Now that the weapons are confirmed in DLC, I really hope that you find all the unique weapons that are not present in the original version of the game.

The new "stages" are going to have to be Conquest Mode, I cannot see them going in and adding bits to Kingdom Mode... And Pang De? Who knows? But I think we should stop presuming he's been cut... he'll probably appear in the last Famitsu scan and surprise everyone ;) Or, Koei could sell him as DLC of course, but I just can't see that happening...

Koei may add unique characters in the game and make them playable in dlc just for additional profit. They could appear in some cutscenes with preplayable appearance. Although I`m not for this idea, just don`t want that my favorite characters waiting 10 or 11 DW.

Damn, so many of you guys are harsh towards people's ancestors, I mean really at least they did more than we do nowadays. Seriously, I know this may be ignored or whatever, but you guys should at least respect these people a bit. This may sound contradictory or hypocritical, but the only person I don't really respect is Guan Yu, because he is seriously over-glorified because of the novel and other things.
^ This. This is one of the best things I have heard on this forum in a long time. All of you guys act like you personally knew each character, when they haven't even been alive for a few thousand years (except for the fictional people who weren't alive in the first place). I don't see how anyone can badmouth these people, when they had more exploits than anyone I've met on here.

If I was related to one of these people, I'd be pretty pissed that someone was badmouthing my ancestor & family line. Sometimes you guys get a little out of hand when saying a certain person 'sucks' or is 'worthless'. You wouldn't like it if someone badmouthed your family, so just keep that in mind.

In spite of that...I'm excited to see who's gonna be shown in next week's Famitsu scans ^^ I'm guessing it'll be more Wu people? Maybe next week we'll finally know if Pang De/Zuo Ci have really been cut. But if they show Zhu Ran or Cheng Pu, well, that'll be pretty awesome.

I seriously doubt that Zuo Ci will be missed all that much, that is if he is officially cut, sure he was quite fun to play as, but as a character didn't really add all that much to the game. Personally that is how I feel about Pang De also, was fun, but didn't really do all that much for me.

One thing I'm really quite interested to try out would be the weapon swapping thing, just something different I guess.

This was the coolest part of DW4 imo (considering I hate a lot of things they did like the lame ass weapon experience level system).. Four different costumes (well two, but each DW4 costume had two colors too). I like how Huang Gai went from White to Black lol. Classic choices.

So if they released the DW4 costumes you'd wonder how they do it (would they really release all 4 different costumes for the DW4 characters)? Even then the DW3 outfits are more classic, that's the best + most nostalgia for me.
