Nobody here is acting like Pang De is the most important character in DW. And he really does add quite a bit to several stages and characters. There's no reason to have Fan Castle without him. He also has room for plenty of interaction with Ma Chao and Dai. Also, Jiang Wei was cut at the same time as Pang De, and we didn't forget about him then either. No, he's not as significant as a ruler, but he's far, far more relevant than Guan Suo or Lian Shi. |

Wait, Pang De may still have a chance to get in. As i recall, Zuo Ci was anounce like a week before DW5 was release. Another thing is that Pang De was important at Tong Gate and Fan Castle so if he does not apper in DW7 they would need to errased all the info about him in the game (or at lease the most) like they did in DW6 and that prossess can be bothersome I also think Having Ma Dai, Ma Chao, and Pang Tong at Tong Gate would be hard but better. Have High hopes

I'm bumping this cos I don't think people saw. I know this is probably irrelevant but the person describing the characters was going through them saying First: Guan Suo (then a description) Finishes by saying what is written above Eighth: Guo Jia - Quite strange EDIT: Just seen Seraphil's post at bottom of last page Edited by LordHale, Tue Feb 1, 2011 5:15 am.

You know I am going to have to agree with you on this. He just never looked all that fun to play in DW5 so I never did play him. But seeing how everyone's going crazy over him like hotcakes really makes me wonder. Also I don't want to offend any pang fans either! |

Aww. Maybe next time then. I don't personally think they'd just namechange someone like that, especially since Guan Ping dies at Fan Castle and Guan Suo doesn't. They'd either cut Ping or include both. |

If you don't know, then don't ask such a silly question. I don't have the energy to go into a tirade over this post. I'll just say, that who cares about historical importance? This is about the novel, in which Pang De is a greater warrior and has a more interesting character than any of those 3 you mention--Jiang Wei is ok though, drawing with an aged Zhao Yun isn't bad. To turn it back to you, how did you feel when Jiang Wei got cut in DW6? Edited by WhiteHorseRide, Tue Feb 1, 2011 5:17 am.

I know I edited my post, I posted this just as your were posting yours saying he is a generic lol I've also seen Wen Yang's name pop up and Zuo Ci's....Think it explicitly mentions that Pang De and Zuo Ci are still not in it Edited by LordHale, Tue Feb 1, 2011 5:16 am.

Im not saying that I dont like Pange De. Trust me, the more characters the better, but what bothers me is that every 3 post theres a huge complain about him being cut. I know he's more relevant that Guan Suo and Lian Shi but still. Hes not that big of a deal to make such a fuss about. |

Wu has Zhou Yu, Lu Xun, and Lu Meng. (THREE!) Shu has Kongming & Jiang Wei (Three if you count Yue Ying). Wei could use an extra strategist or two. |

Well, someone else's garbage can be someone else's treasure. Just because you may not like the character doesn't mean there won't be someone(s) that will. No, he's not the most important, or popular, or even that much liked, but it's sad because he was cut before Koei really gave him a chance to GET better. If anything, they might have added him in too early, because while he did do a few notable things on his own, he needs Yu Jin to accent his badassness at Fan Castle. I mean, Guan Yu genuinely respected/feared this guy for awhile, and being the God of War, that's something, right? I'll miss him because I liked the concept of his personality (though Koei didn't execute him to his full potential, therefor making his initial inclusion a waste), and because I see it as wasted potential. Who knows, maybe he and Yu Jin will show up later, and this time Koei can do him right. I'll miss him, but I'm done shedding tears now. Edit: To the person above me, you forgot Pang Tong. ![]() I see Pang De's cut similar to the Da Qiao cut of DW6, just with a smaller, somewhat more rational (well, some of us) fanbase. Da Qiao was cut, but you'd think they had severed a crucial part of the story with how some of the fans reacted. Pang De's cut is surprisingly calm compared to THAT storm. Well said. And I'll also mention that Pang De WAS an important character, people just don't think of him because they refer to how he was portrayed in DW5, a pretty slow and "dull" playable character. However if you read his biography, you'll see his TRUE importance in history, and you'll see that he has much more importance and deserves a spot much more than many characters now in DW7, like Bao Sanniang, Lian Shi, Guan Suo, Da Qiao, heck.... Maybe even Ma Dai. |

The whole Pang De argument is much larger than just Pang De. It's the removal of a character with great potential and historical/novel relevance, and the addition of another arbitrary wife and two completely fictional characters that's causing frustration. Koei's choices regarding characters are occasionally spotty, and news of Pang De's continued absence and Guan Suo/Lady Shi's inclusion arrived at the same time, which threw up a big red flag with a lot of members here. Not under topic. Because I've already seen pictures from my Taiwanese classmate's PSP. His friend took part in 356 test(not sure what is it LOL), and took some screenshots from it. But it's under a security treaty(umm..meaning it's not supposed to be revealed I guess). There's only a character choosing menu, no in-game scenes. The character choosing interface resembles SW3. A long bar in the center contains portraits of the characters. The other parts of the interface consists of the character's full body picture(head to thigh). The difference with SW3 is that there's a menu bar at the left with the words 'Wei Shu Wu Jun Others' on it. Character names are in black, font for the four kingdoms are in traditional 篆体. (It's basically like the ones in DW6 I assume). From the screenshot, I notice most of thee portraits are still replaced by a question mark(reminds you of WO, no?). From the PSP screens, the portraits can't be viewed clearly, but the main/important characters can. Details: 1, Guan Suo. Looks like your average Mr Sunshine, with a sporty/buffed-up look. He wears a sleeveless, round-neck top, resembling King of Fighters '96's 红丸(Google around for the character). It resembles some girls' PE outfits as well. Don't know if I'm being clear with the description. He looks like Guan Ping's younger bro, with short, black hair, without a beard. He's smiling in the portrait. 2, Lady Bu(Lian Shi). Strong, mature woman type(out of expectations!). Dresses sexily, but loses out to Bao SanNiang in terms of sexiness. And ermm...bigger tits, bigger than Yuan Ji's. Wears chest armour, exposes some waist, while the lower part looks like Bao. After the thighs I don't know what she's wearing, since it's hidden from the selection screen. My guess is knee length boots. Has black hair, with elegant hair. In conclusion, it looks like Bao without make-up and a 'red strong, mature woman'. My Taiwanese classmate liked it a lot, but not me. 3, Lu Bu. Mostly black, reveals some abs, looked like SW1's Nobunaga(don't think this'll be useful already since he's already revelaed). 4, Pang Tong. Has that very old fashioned hat(DW4 Pang Tong look I guess), commonly used by Japanese monks. Looks truly ordinary. 5, Diao Chan. I didn't saw her. According to my classmate, this is his favourite of all. Says her dress looks pretty. I guess she's more graceful, to match with Lu Bu's abs. 6, Sun Jian. Saw him in the portrait. Retains white hair, does not have that 'dashing' look though. 7, Zhang Fei. According to rumours, he's sharing the same weapon with Wei Yan. 8, Guo Jia. He's a face in the crowd (meaning he looks extremely ordinary(generic?)) Edited by Faichaimond, Tue Feb 1, 2011 7:13 am.
