<sadly> I really don't think Pang De is going to be in DW7 (mabey in a DLC)
because KOEI has done nothing 'usefull' with Pang De so far, all he does is DIE

And Liao Hua...
Wouldn't mind Ma Yunlu as DLC either but I can wait until DW8 for her.

If the rumor list Seraphil posted is true, I think I can live with it. I for one have always thought it'd be interesting to have Liu Chan around, they don't need to make him cowardly, there are ways around it. I am not liking the Guan Suo idea...we don't need so many Guan children...somehow Guan Yu having a clan of children isn't as appealing as the Sun Family.

Also, back on the issue of who will be the Wei dude for when Cao Pi dies. I am thinking they will just keep Cao Rui/Cao Whatever in the background and let Sima Yi just take over from there. It is also possible Wei's story would end at that point, allowing Jin's to take over. It is possible they will omit certain bits of the story, such as the whole Cao/Sima struggle for power and what not...it's easily altered so that Sim Yi is just in charge anyways...

I personally don't see Koei adding characters as DLC. It just doesnt seem likely considering Koei. How would it work? Would these characters be seen as generics during levels, upon the game's release? Or would they not show up at all, like the cut characters in DW6? Or maybe dlc characters would be those that we already know about, but just dont get playable until dlc. I don't know. If more characters (that we dont know about previously) make it in the game after it releases, then I would be impressed seeing Koei still creating after the game's release.

guess how many characters are more "usefull" (exaggeration Commencing) about 7 or so.

Everyone wants Liu Chan!

Except those who hate him. :hehe:

I guess we'll see once Tuesday rolls around.
So there will be new scans from Famitsu next week?
I wonder who'll be revealed this time.

They did this with SW2:XL for the 360. In the original Toshiie Maeda was a generic. But the XL DLC made him non-generic in all the levels he appeared in. So its quite possible. Of course, they would probably need to add levels to Kingdom Mode to incorporate these additions if they are anything other than "Other" characters.

Wouldn't a simple patch update fix that though? Upon the release of the DLC, an update is released that will alter the appearance of said characters and add stories and stuff...

But then I suppose there is the issue of updated in game models even for those who don't buy the DLC...so they just have UNPCs running about...

I'm sure there is a way to make it work....right?

I doubt they'll add new Kingdom Mode levels for them. They'll likely just be available for Chronicle Mode, Free Mode, and Challenge Mode.

This Lady Bu sounds like she could be an interesting character. Given Seraphil's description of her, I'd imagine that she could be portrayed as urging Sun Quan to do the right thing even if it won't make her happy.

Kind of like a "I want my beloved to be happy" rather than a "I want to be with my beloved" kind of person.

If they can't add Charaters in the DLC then what would they add? I would be angry if all you could get was weapon after weapon after weapon... I can so see them doing that

-i said before maps, animals, ect.

Well if Pang De and Zuo Ci don't show, there is still a chance for them to be in DW7:XL. Probally giving them more focus than others by that time.

Oh, of course there is a way. That is not what is questionable for me. Its whether Koei does something like it or not is what I see as questionable.

@Liu Bei 7: I dont really consider that the same thing. XL was an expansion and whole new game(well as far as being another release and disc for the PS2). But Im talking about just simple dlc to be released weeks, or a month or two after the intial game's release. XL might have been downloadable for the 360, but Im talking more like what they did with Hokuto Musou. But dont get me confused, as I still consider that to be different from what I am talking about, as those characters were already previously revealed before the game's release.

I stick to my theory that Koei intentionally cuts characters cause so XL and Empires can continue to sell :hehe:

I don't think anyone would doubt your theory. Koei always do it.

Look at Aya and Masanori Fukushima in SW3 - Were unique UNPC's and then surprise surprise they are now playable in SWZ....they obviously hold back certain things so there is more of an incentive for people to buy the 'spin-offs'

It actually would not surprise me to see Pang De as the 'face' of DW7:XL

If they decide to add new characters to the four main kingdoms, I really hope they will expand their kingdom modes. But you might be right.

@Pshychic Ranger, nice of you to think that way!

If Pange De is really cut then that's a really BS move on Koei's part.

Zuo Ci is the only one with no relevance to anything and the only one that should not be returning.

I don't see why they would cut off Pang Tong (if they are) but keep other 'usless' charaters, I understood when they cut out Meng in DW6, I really hope they can do some 'usless' charaters just in the upcoming game

Why is it when I see Lady Bu i can't help thinking of Lu Bu... Show him already your driving me nuts!

Well, I'd be more than happy if they gave us UNPCs, but Koei has never done so with DW. As far as adding more in an XL, well they havent really done that either. Sure there was Meng Huo for DW6Empires, but he still wasnt a brand new character. But who knows, maybe that does mean hope for Pang De after all. Just don't understand why he would be the one left to that.

Honestly without Yu Jin, I always saw Pang De as shallow. Yu Jin is a great general. Making Pang De stand out above him in Facheng would be a great moment. So I say add both of them and we could fix any problems Pang De might have. But I dream.

Pang De deleted? Oh, please, I hope not. I really hope he returns. :kurokan:

And another girl added to Wu? The wife of Sun Quan? I find Wu did not need more female characters. Three widely enough, and I preferred Lady Wu or Sun Luban. They should have add in Wei instead.

Finally, these are just rumors for now.

Why does everyone seem to be so upset with female charaters?
Is it only because of them saying things like "Oh My Love!" over and over and over and over and well you know, They really need to fix that
