I like most of their voices in that, though I'm not sure about Wang Yuanji's, and Zhong Hui's is... awful. He slightly reminds me of Lu Xun's English DW6 voice but in a bad way, or maybe that was just me?Thanks for the heads-up about the trailer, though!

Nice trailer. Everyone sounded okay except Zhong Hui (I don't like him anyway lol). At the part during Chang Ban when Zhao Yun is fighting the soldiers, look closely on the map. The bottom part of the map seems to be empty, grey, "unavailable"... so perhaps it's reserved for Zhang Fei's part. Makes sense to me. |

I thought Zhong Hui sounded as he should, a highly egotistical young man with illusions of grandeur, highly reflected in his voice. All in all they all sounded fantastic! Also I have to say that Guo Huai's entrance was perfect, I did sort of want to hear about what he had to say though. Yuanji sounds like I expected her to, as did Sima Zhao. Shi had a bit of a lower tone than I expected. Also as for all this Wei/Jin talk going on... Keep in mind that Jin united China for a grand total of Ten Years. It broke apart violently from thereon out making a state much worse than the Three Kingdoms ever was. There's a reason the Chinese people consider the Three Kingdoms to be the end of the Medieval period for them and the beginning of the Dark Ages. Notice how stacked Jin is with Traitors and Defectors? Xiahou Ba, Zhong Hui, Zhuge Dan. It is my belief that by the End of Jin's story only Two PC's will be left standing (maybe three) Sima Zhao and his wife. The rest are dead or have left and betrayed the regime. I believe they're moving to show that Jin's unification wasn't all it was cracked up to be and for good reason. Jin may have ended the Three Kingdoms but in it's wake a new age of unmanageable chaos arose. |

Well said, i agree for the most part. One exception for me is, i think the voice matches that personality yes, but i do not think it really fits how he looks. I understand opinions are subjective though. |

Once I read that I lol'd because its so true. Zhong Hui's voice has a english accent to it. I don't see what's wrong with it but I'm not one to give a flying fishcake about VA's. Edited by Veno, Wed Feb 2, 2011 8:06 pm.

I don't think she ever was death-loli emo, just that she was serious. Remember, her bio said that she's still kind to people weaker than she is, but with her loved ones she doesn't hold back, hence her tone with Sima Zhao. |

1) "friendly": Xiahou Ba, arguably Sima Yi but not in the game, Zhuge Dan. 2) Enemies, Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, the game Sima Yi. 3) Sima Yi is a complex figure. His exact motives for his controversial coup against his fellow regent Cao Shuang have long been open to debate: Revenge, idealogical reasons, power, loyalty to Wei. The game will place it under Wei 4) When Cao Rui died, he had only an adopted boy, Cao Fang, as heir so two Regents were appointed: Cao Shuang and Sima Yi. Cao Shuang then managed to become sole regent after tricking Sima Yi, who soon retired into a less active role and bided his time. Cao Shuang hired controversial young scholars like He Yan which alienated the Confucian gentry, Cao Shuang proved to be a military incompetent and slowly lost support. Sima supporters also claimed Cao Shuang was a debauched regent who plotted against the throne and was driving Wei into the ground. Sima Yi, for whatever reason but with considerable internal support, eventually couped Cao Shuang, sacked commanders like Xiahou Xuan and reversed some of the reforms. Sima Yi died of old age and Sima Shi stepped into his father's shoes, becoming the main power in the court. Wei still had clear loyalists like Chen Tai, Sima Fu and co but the revolts against the Sima's in the years after (Zhuge Dan, Guanqiu Jian, Zhong Hui) were uncoordinated and some were probably just generals seeking power for themselves. Most in Wei didn't care that much who really ruled and were happy to support the Sima's as they slowly tightened their grip, ruling in all but name. Eventually, Sima Zhao's son Sima Yan took the throne and thus Jin became offical. In game terms, they have put a bunch of Wei-men and Sima-men together so be intresting to see how that gets handled. |

The weirdest thing to me is the new YTR. Its like on a mountain. Has it ever not been in a desert? |

Yeah, I just compare them, they are almost the same. I guess that KOEI will reuse a lot of maps from Dynasty Warriors 6/Empires. This is not a bad thing, they are the best maps in the series. DW7 with better quality, the maps will still be nice, I think. |

I remember on the Yellow Turban Rebellion in DW2 you had to basically go up a mountain to get to Zhang Jiao's main camp. A lot of the map still was on flat ground and it was sort of deserty. That map was fricking huge though. |

About all that Wei=Jin stuff, I'd like to say (and that's all I'll say about this) that those who think that Jin is the same than Wei, they're not (For me). Game : Since Koei divided the 2, then in fact, the two are different forces even if one ends at 234 and the other starts there. Besides, Wei has MANY early battles and Jin (or Sima Wei) got many last battles). But I agree that it's shame to not have any "true Jin" character. Wei really is the sacrificied kingdom here. Historically : Yes, Jin really appeared in 265 after Sima Yan usurped Cao Huan's throne. But, after the regent Cao Shuang's execution in 249, even if officially the kingdom was called Wei, the Sima's held absolutely all the power. Which means that these officers, altough they were Wei, they fought following the prime ministers orders, the Simas. So, saying that they're not Jin but Wei is the same than that Sun Jian, Pang Tong or Dian Wei should be add in others faction since their kingdom wasn't still established. Besides, in the novel, we only hear of Shu-Han after Liu Bei's establishment in Cheng Du and Wu after Sun Ce's conquest over Jiang Dong. Plus, before Cao Pi establish Wei empire, didn't Cao Cao establish himself with the title Duke of Wei and Prince of Wei ? The same occurred : Sima Zhao was established as Duke of Jin and Sima Yan prince of Jin before taking the throne. For these reasons (and others I don't remeber now), Wei is not Jin. |

Oh, the actual map is similar, but I don't think its the exact same. If it is, well, no problem, we may actually get to see the stage now unlike 6's "race to the finish". And in DW3 YTR wasn't very desert like. |

I remember seeing yellow points on a stage in DW6 (the one where Sun Ce fights against Yuan Shu and Yuan Shu's forces are the yellow points)...the Battle for Wu stage. I was looking at some screenshots (on the main site) and saw blue points...I didn't see any with the yellow points that are mentioned here. |

Yeah, I can understand. That said, Jin is most likely to get the 15 stages, I think there will be a bunch of new maps never seen before in the series, knowing that the Jin's scenario begins after WZP.

Also heres a comparison. Looks like the bottom half...: 1.)you'll need to explore it maybe?? 2.) That half is where Liu Bei is retreating and therefore is unenterable until you can get Liu Shan 3.) ![]() 4.) Its doing a DW4 and uses parts of maps for some stages. (Like DW4 chang ban, parts of the same map was used in the battle where Wu and Shu had a race to beat Wei) DW6 Chang Ban ![]() DW7 Chang Ban: ![]() Edited by CloudJJ, Wed Feb 2, 2011 8:18 pm.
