If this is Wan Castle (not doubting it) then its the biggest version of the stage yet. Very pleasing since Wan Castle got crappier and smaller every game! Dynasty Warriors 3's Version was big from memory, im glad its big again because you can tell by my name that Dian Wei is my favourite character and it would be disapointing for his Kingdom Mode stage to be small and pathetic...

I was ready to ask the clerk at the store yesterday if I could preorder the game, but I was so confused that I didn't.
I went to gamestop today & asked the clerk & was able to pre-order it
Thanks for telling me that...hopefully I can get the courage to ask the clerk about preordering it. The last game I preordered (Guitar Hero: WoR) I put $5 down on...is that a preorder option for this game? (Guitar Hero 5 I just paid the whole $59.99 down) Another question that kind of relates to preordering: Is it necessary for a game that can be preordered to not be in the "Coming Soon" list? (I think that's kind of a problem for me because I like the visual confirmation of the game being expected on it's release date, that's what keeps me from trying to preorder it) / 1. Yes thats an option
2. I'm not entirely sure about that need a "smart" (some are just not into games to know) GS employee to ask about

I'm happy Wan Castle is here. I think Dian Wei without Wan Castle is like Santa without the North Pole. And the size is impressive. But doesn't the map look like the map Zhou Yu and Sun Ce were on to find the two qiaos? I remember there was a DW7 screenshot of that....

I think it speaks about a castle and that it's what-if stage. "What if Dian Wei kills Jia Xu at Wan Castle". However, I don't speak japanese, it's just some deductions from google translator.

So the stage is in chronicle mode. That would be very interesting to see Dian Wei rid Cao Cao of a future advisor and what impact it might have.
Edit: But seeing what it was decuted using google translate, that could be doubtful.

So the battle has moved away from being only located inside the castle (last time I played that stage was I think DW4:XL)? Yay, that means maybe there'll be a nod to Yu Jin's defending the retreat.
On the topic of stages, not sure if it's been pointed out yet, but in the Mode section of the Japanese site, with the bit about having animals join you in battle (should be accessed by the button with Meng Huo), if you look at the map in Lu Bu's screenshot, it's definitely DW6's version of Chengdu, except with a lot more color.
I'm generally okay with reusing map designs, especially since DW6's were great. Hefei should definitely be one they bring back.
what I was talking about

I'm generally okay with reusing map designs, especially since DW6's were great. Hefei should definitely be one they bring back. what I was talking about I didn't like that battle especially in Empires. (Cheng Du DW6 speaking.)
I liked the He Fei battles, both. So I wouldn't mind if those were recycled. I just hope the stages are more High-Def, and look amazing. That's my only real request if they decide to recycle old stages.
One stage I want them to improve on if they add it is Xu Chang. In DW6, I found it, kind of small. I wanted it larger, and I mean larger. It's Xu Chang for god's sake.
Another aspect I would love Koei to add to the game is stairs inside castles. (SW series.) It would be such a fun add to levels. Climbing through Xu Chang castle.

I hated DW6's Cheng Du. DW5's Cheng Du was so much better IMO.

Wan Castle. That's the best news for me yet, I've been talking about that on here for days hoping it'd be in this one.
I wonder if it's Jia Xu's conquest mode though? I would cream if Jia Xu's conquest mode had him playing Wan Castle on Zhang Xiu's side. They better do it. Looking forward to playing that on hard and defeating Cao Cao's huge forces with no one decent as help.
edit: I meant to say I wonder if Jia Xu's conquest mode has that battle. I see that Dian Wei is the 1P being controlled lol...

I really hope a boring character like Liao Hua won't be added to the game. Same for Xiahou Mao. I just don't understand people's obsession with these two. We need people who are not just important but cool too. Like Xun Yu, who is Cao Cao's most important advisor, and Cao Zhang. Cheng Pu and Yu Jin are way overdue too.
Liao Hua, Cheng Pu and Yu Jin are certainly not boring. They had many events (especially Liao Hua) and I think Yu Jin should be added before Xun Yu (yes I know he is important too).
lol I did not sat that Cheng Pu and Yu Jin are boring characters. I said that it's characters like Cheng Pu and Yu Jin that should already be added in the DW series. Their appearance in DW is overdue. They are very very important characters.
First off, who the hell wants Xiahou Mao in the game? Not sure that I've seen a single person with him on their wishlist. Second, spare me. If you think Liao Hua is that boring and unimportant, I question whether you've ever actually read ROTK before making such ignorant claims. Especially since you think Cheng Pu is so much better. Fail. Mann why is it every post you go on about the novel. He wanted Cheng Pu more in Dynasty Warriors, this isn't ROTK XII....And maybe hes not a fan of the novel so back off about the novel, geesh >.>
As for characters I like to see Cheng Pu and Liao Hua.
Also, Wan Castle looks great, and if they're reusing maps then I like too see it as fresh and awesome looking as it can be (So far, theyre doing that)

Wow, I saw that Wan Castle map and thought "Hmm, put the castle in the bottom left corner and the open area in the top left corner and you almost have an exact replica of DW3 Guan Du!"
I only say this because I've been playing DW3 again, and that map really does look very similar.

In this case, that was an ignorant statement. So come again, how am I in the wrong?

In this case, that was an ignorant statement. So come again, how am I in the wrong? Did I you were wrong? No. Im just saying you always bring the Novel into the subject.
And im not changing the subject, I'm trying to not be off topic on this forum by arguing. Im not gonna argue, I'm just saying if a person has his/her opinion just dont bother correcting it cause you read the novel.

Quoting limited to 5 levels deepXiahou Mao in the game? Not sure that I've seen a single person with him on their wishlist. Second, spare me. If you think Liao Hua is that boring and unimportant, I question whether you've ever actually read ROTK before making such ignorant claims. Especially since you think Cheng PuDynasty Warriors
Wen Yang is in like 3 chapters. Your argument is flawed. I will bring up the novel if someone tries to say a character is boring and/or unimportant because that is where said information comes from.
Well loads of people wanted Wen Yang in, so doesnt matter how many chapters he should be in. And the novel isnt always right, for example...Guan Suo Speaking of Guan Suo, I cant wait to see what koei will do with his appearance

You told me, and I quote "back off about the novel", when the character in question is popular due to the novel. So if you have no legitimate points other than to tell me how to act and to not use the book this video game is primarily based on as a debating source, then you can and should "back off".

What are you on about. I dont want to aruge but your confusing me. For a first I didnt say back off on the novel, I'm basically saying stop using the novel all the time ,cause it won't be always be accurate in DW. And for a second I only started this because Someone thought her opinion and you have to go bossy and use the novel as your source of info to always correct. Look, I don't want this thread locked, end of topic okay? Im not replying...

^ I hope that stupid argument is over. ^
I hope we get a new Chi Bi. I always liked the Chi Bi battles, I never really hated a single one. So I wonder how Koei will do it this time.

Quoting limited to 5 levels deep
English Zhao: Why bother? English Yuan Ji(said as if she's trying to teach/advice Zhao): You should bother, it's what a ruler does. Japanese Zhao: It's a pain in the butt. Japanese Yuan Ji(said with disappointment): Again with the "pain in the butt"... (You're) worthless. What? Really?! Well that sucks, it's said better in Japanese. Koei y would u do that. It made Yuan Ji sound more blunt with Zhao.
yay now maybe i can reserve the game now thnx Jiang Wei1
I'm actually more delighted with the change of dialogue for her in the english format. She doesnt have to be a biatch to be stern or to get her point across u know. I liked how she advised him more so than bitchin at him, yet it was still stern in her posture and how she said it. I think its quite nice. Honestly, we dont need another zhen ji or zhu rong.
When has Zhen Ji done anything other than suck up to her husband? i didnt get that vibe. she's keeping him on track. she's not sugar coating her opinion. she is supposed to be stern with him, and since he has like a care-free attitude she needs to say somethin that would pull him out of it and go back to being serious. not just 'you have to, you're a ruler.' try saying somethin like that in RL, they'll just ignore you. IMO
@Little Conqueror of Jiang Dong: haha so true!
I don't know much about officers bio's but if they did have character dlc IMO i would want one in each kingdom
Wu: Cheng Pu/Lu Su/Zhu Ran Wei: Guo Jia/Yue Jin/Yu Jin Shu: Ma Yun Lu (sorry don't really know bout Shu, but everyone is wanting Liao Hua, so yeah i wouldn't mind learning bout him sorta) Other: Chen Gong
