All these what ifs . . . . i got one, What if Liu bei and Zhao Yun never played (American)FootBall using Liu Chan as the ball?

As far as I see it, Jin to me is a completely different faction to Wei simply because its ruled by a different family. Wei = Cao, Jin = Sima.

Jin is seperate, like how Lu Bu has his own seperate army, cause Lu Bu isn't Dong Zhuo2.
That's completely different Lu Bu actually "slayed Dong Zhou" with his own hands. He has a separate army with "DIFFERENT" generals that HE himself is commanding. Why would it be called Dong Zhou2 neither are even Factions.

Wei isn't called Cao Cao, and Jin isn't called Sima So the Dong Zhou2 is irrelevant.

And Sima Yi is DEFINITELY not cut from Wei's roster so how are they loosing a member. I'm pretty sure Sima Yi will be present in Wei battles such as He Fei, and Wu Zhang Plains. Same as many other Jin characters (Deng Ai, Xiahou Ba).
-Plus Wei and Wu both have the Same number of new characters.
Wei has 2 (Jia Xu, & Cai Wen Ji), and Wu has 2 (Ding Feng, & Lian Shi)

actually..'technically' wei was called Cao Wei

im not sure if its the family name or whether its just called dat but....

What If Jiang Wei succed his campaign against Wei & Jin , would he become new emperor and reinstaurate the Han dinasty? (not before beating Wu XD)

He wouldn't get much past Chang An. Too hard to say anything more than that.

It's...It's....THE ARCHERS! But seriously, I feared the archers far more than Lu Bu. It's like they had damn homing arrows or something! They could easily deplete your health bar with only a few shots >.>

They really do piss me off more than anything, especially when I am on my horse, then get shot down.

If great means incredibly annoying, yer... <_< Really though, they were a pain ha!

I'm getting so stoked for DW7 now, just cannot wait to play it. All in all, it's shaping up to be pretty amazing. However we complain, Koei have added more new characters than they have ever done before. Jin really is a step forward for the series because we're finally breaking past the Wu Zang barrier. I'm just hoping Kingdom Mode is really epic and full with drama as they seem to be plugging it. Conquest Mode definitely seems interesting, I don't fully understand it, but the Gaiden and 'what if' stages sound good.

agree. esp when you got shot from the horse. and most of the time I have no idea where the arrow is coming. spend few stupid seconds just to find the archers.

I wouldn't mind if they just improved what they have and added no new characters at all.

It would be nice to have a new DW game where we had MORE attacks to choose from than the S6 C6 + 1 new special attack per game. Like the multiple special attacks that Basara uses, where you can use them any time and switch between several on the fly. At least make it so we don't have to see the same animations over and over just to get to a better attack, which I think is the main thing people think of when they complain about the repetitiveness.

The weapon switching is a step in the right direction, but Omega Force really need to throw some more into it. Renbu was the exact opposite of what they should be doing.
and how would jin work exactly? :P

I'm glad there's lots of new characters this time, with kingdom Mode, characters can have depth without needing a whole Story mode to themselves, and the new Jin force makes the game much more fresh and exciting for me ^^
leave it up to sima yi, zhang he, and xu huang again hah. that battle was great

what Koei needs to do is make 3/4 of the roster Unpc's.. and focus on the main important characters.. And just work on them, there movesets and such, like Sb3 (which is a masterpiece)

We dont need 60+ playable characters.. we just dont.. And if they are going to make clone movesets or weapons.. what would be the point of them being playable.

I could see rulers like Ma Teng, Gongsun Zan, and Liu Biao UNPCs.
But not really their warriors, their fine as generics. :mellow:

They did in DW6 if I'm not mistaken. I'd guess it would be returning.

I can't beliiiiiiiieve this. For about 3 hours today, there were no posts. I wanted to write then, how progressed the members here had become, by stop writing useless/illogical posts.
But then, they has backslid.
I mean, WHAT????
Cut 3/4 of the Roster????
Ha, and comparing DW with games wide under it's league.

OK, i see you in 3-4 years, when DW8 comes out, and Koei cut out 30 characters.
You'll have a deja vu. Remember back, as DW6 came out.
The same people, which wants so many characters to be cut, will yelp and whine when this happens to DW8.

I agree; I wouldn't have much more than 30 playable characters if it were up to me.
I strongly disagree. Even with the changes they've made, Dynasty Warrior's combat system is nowhere near entertaining enough or deep enough to be restricted to thirty playable characters. Also, once you introduce a character to the series, they should stay in the game for good. No more cutting characters. It doesn't help the game at all - instead, it hurts it. It's a lazy solution to the "KOEI doesn't know how to make story modes" problem.

I’m not saying cut the character... Im saying make them into Unpc's... Why do we need quantity over quality. Take Sb3 for example, sure im upset there are a few chatacters they made into Unpc's but if you want to play as them, play the old games...

Dw has a very basic combat system atm, there’s not much to differentiate between them all, a lot of those characters are in there for story purposes and that’s what this game is about, a story... We don’t need to play as everyone who creates it, we just need to play that storyline... and the best way to do that and not have the game get boring is to really up the combat system and make everyone who is playable unique... Once i play as a few people in dw, i get bored easy..

why must you play as the same character every game if they regain there old moveset but with one added move?. Seriously. If you want to play as Pang de, go play Dw5?.. Its that simple

That is the type of post that misses the point.. The reason the combat system isn't that great is because Koei are focussing on numbers...If they were restricted for a few characters, they would be able to focus their time more on them and to pretty much, Capcom them. Why can’t Koei do what Capcom can?...

Capcom is a horrible example. Instead of adding characters on top of the ones selectable in MVC2, they start from scratch and wind up with even less favorites in MVC3 than MVC2! Capcom should never be used as an example because their decisions have been worse and worse by the minute, almost as bad as Nintendo, even though they make lots of money, their games are trash and offer less choices.

Only speak for yourself. Your opinions and tastes are NOT the center of the universe! :meantongue:

60+ playable characters is wonderful!!!!!!! :dance: , even if their movesets were the same, they all have their own identities and personalities. :D

Also this time they are not stuck to one weapon type, people can assign a combination of two weapons for them, so they can make their characters as unique as they want. :lol:

And with 60+ playables that mean more diversity and more fun that will bring in a broader audience instead of catering to a select few! :)

In Timesplitters Future Perfect, all 150 playable characters can use the same weapons, but they are still unique as different people. :)

Well said man well said. Hmmh, i still believe Sima Zhao deserves the spot on this game though. Even if it were cut down to thirty or less he deserves his spot. I do agree with making it similar to Sengoku Basara 3 but even so that game got a tad repetetive too and i have it in the next room lol. So it happens with all games. Even God of war trilogy. It cant be helped, but i do believe DW7 has a great great chance of surpassing all those before it, including samurai warriors. Maybe even God of War 3. They really have juiced up the game but i do agree with adding more variety and substance to the combat system, for the guys like zhao yun, zhang liao, lu bu etc...

God of War 3 is boring, just some angry bald guy is playable.

and Sengoku Basara 3 has horrible character designs, very boring, very lame, very few to choose from. I don't care how unique their movesets are, there's not enough interesting playable characters and overall Capcom's wannabe DW series is inferior to the actual DW series. :)
