Would much rather have Pang De and Zuo Ci instead of this hooker. I mean what story could she have other than how it came to be her sucking off Sun Quan? Really now.

Source from Wikipedia

Bu was from Huaiyin, Linhuai (present-day Huai'an, Jiangsu). She was related to Bu Zhi, a chancellor of Eastern Wu. During the final years of the Han Dynasty, she and her mother moved to Lujiang but were forced to travel to Jiangdong after Lujiang was conquered by the warlord Sun Ce. She met Sun Quan, who was attracted by her beauty, and became his favourite concubine. She bore Sun Quan two daughters.

When Sun Quan declared himself emperor, he wanted to instate Bu as his empress. However, many of Sun's officials felt that Lady Xu, adoptive mother of the crown prince Sun Deng, should be empress instead. Sun denied his subjects' request, but he did not make Bu his empress either. Although Bu never became empress throughout her life, the palace attendants addressed her as "empress", while her relatives referred to her as "Lady Bu".

Bu died in 238 and was buried at Jiangling (present-day Purple Mountain, Nanjing). She was posthumously granted the title of empress by Sun Quan.

However, this doesn't exactly show her heroic acts, anyone to fill up the gaps? Thanks!
Just adding something from Empresses and Consorts, she promoted many people.(What type of promotion I have no idea because they don't say.) Although Quan didn't make her Empress, people within the palace still called her by it. Other than Quan mourning her, thats about it.

Not the most interesting but Koei already seem to stretching the truth with her. Which leads to very interesting possiblities. ^_^

Can the game just hurry up and get here already? lol
I hear you 100% - I am gettin sooo impatient too.

We'll probably get a demo sometime in March though.

As far as the Lian Shi debate goes, I guess I'll just see how everything goes upon release. IMO, I really do not like her design... my main beef is with her hanging boobs and that Kojiro Sasaki skin tone. She might turn out to be very interesting and her story might be neat. We'll just have to see when the time comes...

*Off-topic** your avatar of DW3 Gan Ning is AWESOME :D

Lady Bu to me is nothing but a useless fan service character. She has no business being in this game. After all she was just some **** back then, right? And now she's gonna go around fighting people like Lu Bu?
And posts like this contribute to this topic...how? You're judging her and you've seen NO gameplay nor story of her.

If you want to complain about Lian Shi, that's what the complaints thread is for.

On-Topic: Hopefully we see a little more in this PV than the last one. I'm quite interested to see how some of the weapons will work.

Do some reserach and you will find about what she did. ;)
I'll save you the time.

She did nothing.

Her history isn't interesting AT ALL and why they chose her over Sun Luban or Lady Wu astounds me, and that's if they were intent on adding more females.

1/4th of the characters they added are female, too. They should just leave it at 2 per kingdom.

This is KOEI. As I said, the choice of female characters seem more or less random. We all thought that when a new female character would be added to Wu, it would be Lady Wu or Sun Luban. We all thought that Ma Yunlu would be the next female character added to Shu. Same for Wang Yuanji, we all thought it would be Zhang Chunhua added to Jin. It would not surprise me that when a new female character is added to Wei, it is neither Lady Bian, Guo Nüwang, etc. but a female character which was never spoken.

Jeez! Sort out your attitude, what you just said is NOT acceptable on here, it's pretty crude in fact.

Lian Shi was added, deal with it. I'll wait to see what they do with her before I form an opinion, because I can see potential with her due to her position as SSX's guard.

I really hope some kind of demo pops up on the Xbox Live Marketplace soon, I'm itching to experience the gameplay!

Some News for The AU/NZ fans:

DW7- is coming to us on 20th of march. Which i'm like 0-o, the guy at EB rang head office, and that's what they said. The guy at the counter said they probably mean during the week of the 20th. Pre-orders are up for it at E.B price $90AUD
GAME Australia had it listed for March 24th. EB Games AU did as well a while back, though very briefly before resetting it to March 2011. 24th is probably the best bet.

Glad we're not getting shafted this time.

I know I'm late, but I saw Lu Bu's new design and that made me very happy. I can't wait to try him.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone can answer a question for me. Has the trophy list for this game been revealed yet?

Just to say, the DW7 Facebook page has announced that English voices will be added to the American and English DW7 official site shortly. Whether that means today or nearer the end of the week, I'm not sure? But still... can't wait to hear everyone!

I'm curious if they'll bring back the better VAs for the cast, basically the line-up used in 4 and 5. There were too many cast changes in 6.

You're right Baphomet, but even though that's the case for DW6, I think that the overall VA is superior than those of the previous games.
I mean, yeah, the voices have changed, some are worse than the previous ones, but the QUALITY of the dialogue's definitely superior (imo).
I'm hoping that this'll also be the case for DW7.

Re Dabok:

A lot of the performances in 6 were ultra camp and sounded very bored and phoned in, there was nothing superior about the voice quality. The lines were a bit too cliche' drama for my taste kind of forced.

I think it took itself a bit too seriously and it made things boring. Previous games weren't afraid to goof around a little and make things entertaining, DW6 dialogue was about as interesting as listening to paint dry.

I guess what I mean is I think things were better when the writing was more creative like how SW2 did things.

If you want things to be more "historical" then I think it'd be better off staying in the ROTK games where the general atmosphere is more serious and accurate to the novel in general.

Re Frayling0:

Yes exactly, it's not only the voices that were changed but several characters suffered from "character assassination" and weren't even themselves anymore. Using SSX again as an example she was more like a loyal lapdog following around Liu Bei the whole time than the spunky cheerful tomboy princess with a determined attitude that she was previously.

It's like half the cast had full frontal lobotomys performed and lost their true selves in the process. It was honestly a bit sickening seeing Gan Ning ruined in this fashion and half his cut-scenes made my stomach turn.

Absolutely. It's shocking how different a character can 'feel' with a different voice. For me, Sun Shang was the worst, but there were other offenders too.

Alright, if there is anything that I have to say, it's that the ending song is very stupid, and I don't think it fits DW at all.

That preview, sure. He had some mistakes. BUT HE GAVE THE GAME A CHANCE. It's very rare you get a preview who has a person that does that. It also got me very excited for this game.

It's only a month and a half away.

AFAIK, some VA's I think have stayed in the series since 4. Steven Blum still voiced Sun Jian in DW4, 5, and 6. Then for some odd reason in 5XL Blum was asked to change is voice, which stayed consistent for WO1 and WO2. Then in DW6, Blum was asked to change it again.

I think this is a matter of voice director really, because from looking up on the people who've voiced DW characters since 4, they're all good in other productions. If you want a better performance from these VA's, you need to hire a better Voice Director.

Just like how Koei needs to hire a better head of advertising. REALLY bad move to reveal all of the Jin characters in one or two goes... <_<

Are you positive on that? I could have sworn Blum left after 5 due to union/non-union reasons. IIRC it's another actor TRYING to sound like Blum for Xiahou Yuan and Sun Jian inDW5XL, and DW5 Empires, as well as the DW6 games. Though I believe the guy in 6 is another entirely different VA as well. There were some others absent for similar reasons I believe such as Crispen Freeman who was Guan Yu in DW5 but not DW5XL/Empires nor DW6.

Yeah, maybe they have realized it, but too late. Then, they revealed only 3 characters last week. Just to reveal all remaining characters at once in the final batch.
Personally, i hope, that we will get 2 more batches of scans. Next week on the 15/16th we should see again only a few characters. Maybe 4-5. And in the last scans, all the rest, plus some surprise-characters. You know, like Pang De or Zuo Ci. And maybe 2-3 new characters.
