Ok this is bad. KOEI is cutting things out of the games and turning around making them DLC?? Damn KOEI you guys are cheap! At least the voices will be free...

Here's a question: If the Japanese voice DLC was NOT free, would you pay for it?
How has it been 'cut'? It was never there in the first place.
Oh come on now. SW3 had a option for the Japanese voice track. If KOEI even THOUGHT about charging us for something that was included in a game they released A FEW MONTHS AGO here in the US.....I would smack Mike Bond the next time I see him at E3.... :realangry:

That's just plain ridiculous.....I'm sorry....

I'm DEFINITELY taking what that guy says with a grain of salt.

Worst in recent memory? The "worst" in recent memory was DW3, and that was "so bad, it's awesome".

And what does KOEI have to lose in releasing SW3Z overseas for the PS3? Something doesn't sound right.
specifically, a deal with nintendo, who published sw3 in the us and europe

Nintendo Wii cannot handle download content of any significant size, and voice acting WILL be significant size, a gig at least.

edit: pardon the double posting
But what I mean is SW3 on Wii had the Japanese voice option included on the disc. It was released in Sept 2010 here in US if I'm not mistaken. Now KOEI is gonna make something that was included on the disc just a few months ago DLC for DW7?? I know it will be free and all but I'm saying....if it WASN'T free...someone needs to suffer...

I think Dynasty Warriors 7 demo is a big chance, even if it's Japan PSN Store only. :XD

Because

*DW Strikeforce had a PS3 demo on PSN.

*FOTNS Ken's Rage got a exclusive demo on PSN and XBL in the west.

Dynasty Warriors 7 is their #1 major release this quarter, I think a demo would make sense to maximize marketing and profits. :)

These cutscenes, features and stuff will wow even the crowds that weren't interested in DW. :XD
Forgot about Trinity too :)

Almost all games by KOEI this/last year have had demos. (major games)

Would be logical, + I would run the demo a million times :D (if it was like the japan one, pretty large demo to me)

WOAH WOAH WOAH! Free DLC? Demos? All interesting and all, but there's something more important than both of them, that isn't being discussed...

...Does Xu Huang have his air charge/ROFLCOPTER attack back? :/

These Demo's you have listed. I guess, they were only for USA, right?
Because here in Europe they weren't. At least not in my country. At the time FotNS's Demo was announced, i have visited later often the PSN-Store.
But it wasn't there. DW-Strikeforce was the same.

Word on the grapevine, from a KOEI insider (who's done localization work)...

The good news is, we're getting the Japanese voices as free DLC! The bad news is, we're gonna need it.
OMG! you just made my whole day! I am soooo glad! thank you soooo much for letting us know!

I wonder how emotional and impact the story will have?

There will surely be many great moments and things said and done in cutscenes and stuff!

But even if Jin sometimes reuses maps from other kingdoms, it would make sense because naturally China is like a specific region so it's natural key locations/cities would have more than one battle take place there.

I think Conquest will reuse maps the most but it's how those maps are used for each version and each stage that can turn the same map into a different situation gameplay-wise and ally/enemy location wise too. :)

"I'm not gonna buy it either bludz, init."
 You didn't need to post this...

Anyway... I too am wondering about emotional impact. I'm hoping this instalment will feature more drama than before, and it seems it will go that way...

Xu Huang: I don't think he has his axe, so no, he probably won't have his 'roflcopter' move.

AW HELL NAW, I AIN'T BUYING IT ANYMORE

Just kidding. Anyways, if the Jin trailer was anything to go buy, I think the cutscenes will be better than ever. The opening scene with Sima Shi and Deng Ai simply oozed badassery.

Haha :XD

To be fair, don't take my word for it. His weapon hasn't been confirmed, so it's still possible!

And yer, the Sima Shi/Deng Ai cut scene was awesome ;)

Xu Huang will surely have the chain-weapon from the opening movie.
Some people think, that he is in that movie, just to introduce that weapon with the soldiers, which are following him on horse with the same weapon equipped.
They could have also included Cao Ren (who has this weapon for sure) in the movie instead of Xu Huang.

Dude wouldn't it be cool if they had a scene like that with Sun Quan and Zhou Tai?

Maybe Zhou Tai can deflect an arrow with his body and we get to see how he got some of those scars he has??

That would be BAD ASS!! :XD :XD

While I am not personally working on DW7, I can tell you this game will have the worst quality voice in recent memory even by KOEI standards because they wanted twice the voice done in half the time for the same budget. Don't worry though, we fought hard for the Japanese voice to be put on when they said they weren't going to at first. Blu-Rays have enough space for 2 audio tracks easy but DVDs for the Xbox360 don't and Microsoft refuses to release games if they are inferior to versions on another platform. We came to an arrangement so that the Japanese voice will be available for download as free DLC.

This is in case anyone missed what exactly was said regarding the Japanese voice option.

I'm feeling pike for Xu Huang, just feels wrong him not having some sort of polearm.

Though the point about it could have been Cao Ren instead does make sense, I'm just here hoping that he's getting something he's had before.

I vaguely remember a cagey answer from some Koei rep involving the possibility of seeing Sima Yi's claws (DW6) - it got me thinking about paid DLC later to replace certain characters EX weapons... e.g Yue Ying (scythe), Cao Ren (buckler blade), Xu Huang, Sima Yi and the rest....

If it's true, then I am both sad for SW3Z not being localized, but happy to know that Japanese audio will be free DLC. Because I like having a choice...
