There is only one EX attack.
There are two musou attacks. I think that's what people got mixed up.
TWO MUSUO. ONE EX.
When they refer to "EX Attacks" they are talking about everyone's EX attacks together.

Dao: Sima Zhao, Cao Cao, Xiahou Dun, possibly Sun Jian and Gan Ning.

Rapier: Sima Shi, Liu Chan, Yuan Shao and probably Cao Pi

Chan and Ball: Cao Ren, Dong Zhuo and Xu Huang (?)

Spear: Jiang Wei, Zhao Yun and Ma Chao

Pike: Lu Meng and Guan Yu

Double Edge Spear: Zhang Fei and Wei Yan

Twin Swords: Liu Bei and Lu Xun

Fans: The Two Qiaos

Scythe: Jia Xu and for some reasons, i can see Guan Suo using this weapon..

Throwing Knives: Wang Yuan Ji, Zhu Rong and maybe Gan Ning?

Gauntlets: Meng Huo and Ding Feng

Bow: Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan

Feather Fan: Sima Yi, Zhuge Liang and Zhuge Dan

Staff: Zhang Jiao and Pang Tong(?)

Broad Swords: Xiahou Ba and Guan Ping(?)

Bo Staff: Yue Ying and Zhou Yu

Other Sword: Zhou Tai and Sun Quan

So, theres quite alot of weapon similarities, only few characters with "unique" weapons and moveset.

Ma Dai: Paintbrush
Zhong Hui: Flying Swords
Deng Ai: Drill Spear
Zhang He: Iron Claws
Dian Wei: Axe
Zhang Liao: Twin Halberds
Zhen Ji: Flute
Cai Wenji: Harp
Ling Tong: Nunchuks
Sun Ce: Tonfas
Sun Shang Xiang: Chakrams
Taishi Ci: Twin Rods
Lian Shi: Crossbow
Bao Sanniang: Bladed Yoyo
Xing Cai: Sword and Shield
Guo Huai: Arm Cannon
Lu Bu: Sky Piercer Halberd
Xu Zhu: Club
Diao Chan: Possibly the dual maces or the whip.
Cao Pi: Dual Swords(?)
Huang Gai: River Slicer Club, although i can see him and Xu Zhu being in the same weapon category.
Gan Ning: Twin Daggers (?)

42 characters - "Cloned Moveset" including the ones with (?)
21 Characters - "Unique" Moveset including the ones with (?)

So, i think overall its a good chance that other characters might regain their original weapons i.e Cao Pi + Dual Swords, theres loads of clone movesets already, koei should stop making characters in the same weapon category... Or it will get boring in my opinion..

Zhou Tai does not have the Dao. Compare the weapon Icons, his is different then the others who use the Dao. The Icon itself is even thinner and not as big as the Icon for the Dao.

 Was that supposed to be funny?...

1. They do not have Daggers, they are throwing Knifes
2. Why would Gan Ning have their weapon/moveset.

Wait a sec...Aren't there going to be 3 musou attacks? Because wasn't it said that you can buy new musous? I mean, you can only equip two at a time, but still! You'll be able to purchase brand new musou attacks!

So some characters will have two ground musous, or a ground/air musou, and a new musou.

I wonder if we'll be able to purchase new EX attacks as well..hmm..

I thought that was just so you could 'stock' them to use them tactically in battle?

In the sense that you can use a musou attack, but if you've built up enough musou gauge you can decide whether to save or use yet another attack.

Musou attack upgrades

Musou bar is now stackable to 2 bars, allowing you to launch Musou attack twice consecutively

Each characters will have 2 different kind of Musou attacks

All characters' first Musou attacks are normally executed with O button on ground

For the secondary Musou attack, some characters will have either of the following:
Alternate Ground Musou, by pressing R1+O on ground; or
Jump/Aerial Musou, by pressing O while mid-air

When using Musou attack, the character will be using their default weapon regardless of what weapons they are bringing

As you can see, each character will either have an extra musou attack in the air or one in the ground. Not both. ;)

Yes, similar to the Sw3 musou system, you can now save up musou to use twice, you can choose to use it right after the last one or if you wish, you can save it for later.

@Celestial - You can have both at the same time...

I was hoping for no cloning, but I guess with so many characters it was to be expected. =[....
Still......disappointed.

For each character :

1 EX Attack
2 different Mousu Attacks

that's good to me
Yes, and it's more than one EX attack I think.
So as far as diversity goes, well, it's not "the best", but it sure is enough.
PLUS, I have heard (not confirmed yet) that even though the attack strings are the same, maybe charge attacks would be different.
I'm keeping my hopes up for this.

But still, I'm not against having even more diversity, because it's quite true that there are already lots of people with the Dao moveset...

It pains me to know that Sun Jian has a very high chance on getting the Dao moveset too...I mean, Sun Quan has Sword + Tonfas as his weapons. He's always the "father, brother, watch over me!" guy...So, I guess he got his Sword moveset from Jian and Tonfas from Ce.
Well if they have more than 1 EX attack it might be the best depending on what the ex attack does but several people claim it's being confirmed as juust 1 EX attack but they have yet gave me a link to the confirmation of it just being 1 EX attack. They do have multiple skills which I don't know what that could be maybe just elements and increasing stats or something.
I think SKILL UPGRADE doesn't increasing stats because you have collected the stats upgrade in the battle like the SWORDS or SHIELD

No, you will get one or the other. Take Wang Yuanji, her normal musou is on the ground but her extra musou is in the air. From what I've heard both of Zhang Fei's musou's will be on the ground.

Ahhhh that's good then. Adds a bit more depth to the characters, I suppose. Never really saw characters like Zhang Fei leaping into the air to perform some sort of super acrobatic assault on someone... Makes sense now lol thanks

Actually, doesn't that mean you can have two different musou equipped at a time? You can press O for the normal musou, then O in the air for characters who have an air musou, and R1+O for the second musou.

And I am quite sure someone said you were able to buy new musou attacks from the shop..I know I've seen it being stated somewhere, I just can't remember where.

Just going to propose a theory here.

Remember Warriors Orochi's Story Mode? Once you finished one of the factions' Story Mode, you could replay any stage in Story Mode with any character you had unlocked.

DW7's Story Mode just happens to so far be following the same set-up as WO's...

Just because the "Free Mode" itself is gone doesn't mean we don't have an equivalent. Let's wait until full confirmation before jumping our guns.

As in, you start with one musou attack, then you unlock the second one (air or alternate ground) from the skill tree using the deed points.

Unlike the formerly mentioned titles, the second stock can also be reserved on a secondary weapon and can be used at the players convenience. Lengths of these gauges can be increased by using "Skill" points, which appear after battle based on the performance of the player. These points can also be used to unlock new musous for characters.

This is what I found on the Koei Wiki. So I think you're right about that, Eni.

Conserning the Attack of Sima Shi stage...

You control Sima Zhao.

Is it too far out to say that they will change the death of Sima Shi from his mole and rWen Yang to having his brother kill him over succession?

I guess that makes sense since Wen Yang and Sima Yan didn't get in. I hope that they don't over dramatize it too much. Really don't wanna see Sima Zhao get whinny that he has to kill Sima Shi.

I've been saying this for a while now. Maybe more people will listen with you saying it instead -_- . I'm pretty much expecting either that or beating a Kingdom Mode stage will open it up in Conquest. Either way, I see no reason for people to worry about the features free mode gave us before being gone.

Hey so I guess I'm not the only one who has a feeling that you might get to purchase ex attacks as well. Lol but then someone might try to correct as if I said it was confirmed. But like I said people fussing about there being only one ex should hope your wrong lol, I mean it's confirmed but I'm not going to put a front on and act like I don't care that each character has only one ex attack and starts out with it, really will get annoying using the same ex move over and over lol.

Also someone stated there are what 41 clones well they aren't clones just(ckonsidering there is just one ex attack and different Musous) it's not a satisfactory to most people about the information provided including me. Now DW 6 had no different Musous for many and no ex attacks so those were true clones.

The thing that confuses me, though, is that characters look like they're doing different charge attacks.

Example, Zhuge Liang & Zhuge Dan. I didn't see Zhuge Dan doing those wind attacks that Zhuge Liang's doing in the screenshots.

So I am hoping that the characters at least have their own unique charge moves..I guess I'd need to see more proof of it.
