Oh yeah, most important thing I noticed when rewatching...

Yuan Ji jiggles. Delicately. :sly:
How do you even see that? *rubs tired eyes*

And about BSN... you're right. I was concentrating on the countershot from Wei army pov where it was just Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun. Come to think of it the two shots don't match up. In the first Zhang Fei is to the left of Zhao Yun, and in the next he's on Zhao Yun's right...

Though he does look like a generic, of interest to note is that he has his hat from ROTK portrait.

I think the only thing that makes me unhappy in this video is that it's only in 360p and it's too short! Everything in it though looks so awesome that i wish i hadn't seen it because now even more, i don't want to have to wait months for this.

Yep it seems many generics will be specific generics. ;)

So I've been comparing the Sima Zhao and Xiahou Dun gameplay, and it looks like while they do have differences(like some of the charge attacks) there seem to be similarities too(the first three or four hits of the s-string look the same.)

Seems at worst we have DW3~5 style "similar" movesets.
I did the same and agree 100% with you. I felt like this is what it would be like the whole time anyways, and am perfectly OK with it. We still might see vastly different S-Strings for some tho, because I got a feeling Ma Chao's Spear won't have the DW6-like S-string of Zhao Yun's. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if some similar movesets the later s-string attacks may vary a bit as well (like they did in previous games - Ex: Zhang Liao and Lu Meng).

- Xiahou Dun vs Sima Zhao -
From the PV we see Dun do 3 major things with his Balde: What looks like the end of his S-String -> EX attack, C5, and Switch attack. The Switch attack is the same as Zhao's (Most probably will be based on the weapon class) but the C5 is completely different from Zhao's we saw in the first gameplay video.

One thing that IDK if it has been brought up before: Looking at the Sima Zhao gameplay video again then this PV, it looks like you can cancel your s-string into an Ex attack at any time, and when someone does an Ex attack (or maybe only if it is a cancel, not sure) they flash right before the attack. You can see it with Zhao's surfing at 4:30 in the old gameplay video and Dun's fire attack in the PV at 1:25.

Last thing, did anyone else get a Zuo Ci feel from the Flying Swords moveset bits they showed?

OMGGGGGGGGGGGG. Yay for SSX chakram's being two! It looks quite similar to her DW5 moveset :XD Wang Yuanji looks so pretty, can't wait to play this game! Roll on March pleaseeeee! I wish they'd shown more of Sima Zhao moveset (or did they?) because it looked like he only done his musou so I can't compare it to Xiahou Dun! Also Gua Huai's pathetic cough..! LOL.
This has been a good start of the day, put me in a good more for my exam

EDIT: Will have to rewatch trailer and the PV to compare

Another thing I noticed: Guo Huai randomly has a rapier in one of those cutscene bits, the Drill Lance moveset seems way faster than I thought it would be and Zhao Yun doesn't have the baby strapped on when he attacks Dun. I think that Zhao might fight Dun before the scene with Zhang Fei launching him, which leads to the rest of the stage (ending with his escape rescuing the baby).

As most sensible people predicted weeks ago, this video appears to reassure that while some S String attacks will be "cloned", charge attacks, Ex attacks and musous will ensure there are no two identical characters.

I just hope Zhou Tai doesnt get a moronic looking Xiahou Yuan run this time >.>

People seem to forget that DW2-5 had near-clones. Guys like Lu Meng and Zhang Liao, and Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan had similar starting attack strings, but were far from clones.

Even all the sword users (Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Sun Jian, Sun Quan, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao) started out similar. Only when you levelled them up did they begin to become unique.

So far the only real issue I have with the game is Kingdom mode.

I know, 60+ musou modes would be a lot... but thats what I want from it.

Finally the PV came out and it answered a lot of questions

Movesets are a mix of DW5 and DW6 ones and take a page out of the SW series
Clones are NOT in
Sun Shang Xiang has 2 Chakrams
Many characters desired are Generic

Also at 1:08 of that trailer probably shows when you're changing from Zhang Fei to Zhao Yun in an in gameplay cutscene at Chang Ban similar to what they did in Fist Of The North Star nice touch :sly:

No that'll be next week and most likely it'll be the last character/characters for Jin and a majority for Shu.

Lu Kang is generic... phew... I`m glad to hear that. Awesome PV, like it pretty much (don`t like only Dingo  ) Too bad there is no Jia Xu, Ma Chao or Ma Dai in gameplay (exciting I must say) video, but I saw what expected to see. So very good for now, waiting next famitsu (and cross finger for Pang De!).

Same with me. I always played everyone's musou modes in DW3-5, even if it took a long while.

I just think it's in their best interest to make us want to use every character. Not everyone is going to do that... but if they have enough stages in the game, then I don't see how it's too hard to have a musou mode for everyone.

(I understand why they didn't have a Musou Mode for everyone in DW6; there were what, 17 stages and 12 characters in Wu? Everyone would be doing the same stages over and over.)

Musou Mode's were the perfect length in DW3. By the time you finished a character you were probably sick of them but they were close to maxed and you could probably get their fourth weapon (another side quest type thing that was challenging and fun and that I really miss).

Chronicle Mode seems like the replacement for doing a musou mode for each character, but it sounds a lot longer than a Musou Mode and probably unreasonable to be playing it through with every character. And I wonder about the character interaction during Chronicle Mode.
