So, because it's well liked by many, it's overrated? Oh well, that's anything that's really liked by many, so I shouldn't be surprised. Outside of Eve, most of the He Fei songs in any game (including He Fei castle), and "Welcome to China" are among my favorites. I'm a sucker for guitar riffs and songs that have an "epic" feel to them (hence the He Fei castles). |

The US EB Games/Gamestop can pre-order now. The Canada one still has it unlisted. |

Yea, Eve in DW4 is good. My favorite is Wei He Fei (forget the name of it but it's regular He Fei not Castle). Most of DW3 would work for me though. For some reason I like "Crisis" Guan Du too. Thing about the Guan Suo rumors is that it's really strange that with Ping and now Suo, they haven't considered adding Guan Xing? He was more prominent in the novels not to mention higher rated in the RTK's and in the classic Destiny of an Emperor's. Maybe Xing and Zhang Bao will still be added, who knows. As it is Shu's later forces seem kind of limited in terms of playable characters (though I guess I don't know how many earlier Shu characters they are going to also use for the later on stages too). I went to the store yesterday to see if I could preorder it but my manager said it wouldn't be on the reservation list until tomorrow (Monday), so I'm going then. I'll be canceling my pre-order for Skyward Sword, seeing as they pushed it back (again)- I'll have the money to re-pre-order it later XD. |

ROTK stats have nothing to do with it. If they did, Liu Shan would have no chance of being added. Its the stories of the characters that have the largest bearing, and if the rumors are true, I guess Koei figures they can do more with Guan Suo. Also like you said, Guan Xing and Zhang Bao are pretty much a package deal. So they would need to add two characters instead of one. Edited by Liu Bei 7, Sun Jan 16, 2011 11:13 pm.

Well right I know it carries less weight that's why I prefaced it by mentioning they're more prominent in battles later on. I do concede that with Bao Sanniang, Guan Suo was probably inevitable. And the fact that Xing and Bao are a package deal definitely holds them back too. We'll see, either way I can't take late-era Shu too seriously. |

I guess technically, since Guan Suo's story is all based off of legend, they have way more they can do with it than Guan Xing. Guarantee they mold Xing into Suo, with the killing of Pan Zheng at Yi Ling. I hope he gets the Blue Dragon, honestly, and uses it like that guy in Curse of the Golden Flower. Give him some awesome chinese plate armor circa Mang Dynasty and call it a good character. |

I love sacred ground too, moreso out-of-game. And i never did like eve in-game, but years later finding it on my computer i liked it. Also jump into the battlefield is one of my favorites, i can't believe i forgot it! I hope Lu Bu's theme this time around is a fast version like it's earlier ones, when they turned it into that kindof slow "oh crap somethings going on" feel it didn't give as much presence to Lu Bu as the faster crazier "OH F--- RUN" feel his dw3 and like versions did. |

A few character conversations I'd like to chime in on. Most important- Guan Suo Yes I know. He was never a flesh and blood son of Guan Yu. But some folklore characters have been made into movies and games before, such as King Arthur/ Merlin. If he does make it as per current leak I really hope he is an overly sexualized male that someone would love to see have 3 wives (including Hua Man). I don't want some androgynous "bishie" man like so many of the roster. I would like an Asian Kratos! Have some fun Koei! Liu S/Chan He needs to be a unique personality for his station. He was Emperor during several portions of the current pre-Wu Zhang Plains era as well. For the requested "Dark side of Shu" -Zhuge Liang could debate him for food and troops, and ignore his return orders. Jiang Wei can get into fights about conquering Wei at "any and all costs mentality." Liu should be given a more humane look on the war affecting Shu's people. It was really Jiang Wei's push to conquer the north that derailed and bankrupted Shu. Pang De Yes he was a great general. He was underrated by his own force and he still adds more to Shu characters than the current Wei roster. however Guan Yu fought him to a draw (but he also fought several others to a draw as well like say Huang Zhong). I want to see the coffin scene back and maybe take some moves from Basara's Muneshige. I see Pang De pulling off a running charge with his halberds scraping along the floor leaving sparks easily. Zuo Ci I liked him and I still see a spot for him in Dynasty Warriors because he lived in the era, and interacted with main characters in the novel and popular lore. He really came off as another Shu character, but I want him to be more of the Sanguo Okuni. "Get in the middle of fights and stop everyone." Tone down his moveset a bit, yes. Less on the virtue of Liu Bei, yes. Hint to the Sima takeover, maybe. I could easily see him resurrecting Zhang Jiao and Lu Bu as a late period Gaiden/Dream stage to challenge players. I could see his being a more unique stage in the Empires edition (Emei Mountains). I don't want to see him ended just because. Wen Yang I think he will be the final, oh look Suprise!!! character like Zuo Ci in DW5, Musashi in SW2, and Motonari in SW3. I think they will also have him rival Lu Bu in stats. Overall new characters. Wei Jia Xu. Not what I expected of course. Face reminds me Eric Balfour, so its hot. Sickle, sure. Wu Ding Feng. an effective brusier. The moveset already looks alot better than classic Meng Huo. Shu Ma Dai. Looks alot of what I stated a while back. If Magic Brush can look like a riding crop, it might be easier to swallow and use with others. Bao Sanniang. Not liking the idea of Sanguo Kunoichi. Whether it is Guan Suo or Liu or Zhao or even Ma Chao or Wei Yan I don't want stalkers running "let me help you." Jin Sima Shi- I like the cold appearance. Sima Zhao- he was always the tactictian in late Wei. I'm not sure about surfer look, but.. Wang Yuanji- looks nice. Like the daggers. She "speaks her mind." Good for her. Zhuge Dan- I really do like him. His severe look still states Zhuge family. I think since his name has never appeared in a Dynasty title was the only reason Zhuge Jin was mentioned. Athough I would like the Wu Zhuge as well. Guo Huai- loved look at first sight. The spiritual Guo Jia in my mind. I think his coughing is the first true example of an EX attack. Zhong Hui- sexi unitard. He magically stole Zuo Ci's cards and made them into swords. Deng Ai- I really thought he would be a new androgynous bishi boy. I quite remember him having "red lips" which meant intelligence (ROTK). don't like the Tadakatsu spear theft. |

Ugh Eve. Can't understand how anyone can like a song where the first 2/3s is composed of high-pitched screechy guitar and shrill squeals and the actual good "epic" part of the song after that only last like twenty seconds before going back to screech and squeals. Gimme Jump into the Battlefield, Crisis, Chase the Wave, Avenging Battle, Struggle for Existence, Persistent Fellows, Gloomy Shadow, Ignition, Tropical Wars, and/or Geniuses Sanctuaries instead. /list |

You know, who played that Golden Warrior in that movie, don't you? It's Jay Chou. Or better, the one in this video. Song is called "Wu Shuang". I would love, when Koei arranges songs like these as an ending song for DW. I would give some background-information about that video. But i think, the most of you know it already. I personally don't care if any old songs are making it into the game, because I am using my own music as the background music on my Xbox 360 version of DW7 I'm gonna play epic music in my battles. The guitar stuff, to me, gets too repetitive, so I'm going to play traditional Chinese music or music that can be found on movies like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, etc... |

I also hope Eve gets a remix in DW7. Also In Full Bloom, God that one was epic. Gets you ready for the battle and hyped. Heavy Gauge just because I like it. March from DW3 was awesome as well. Welcome to China from DW6 should make a return as well.

Considering if the rumored list is true, who do you think will get the crossbow? I would say either Guan Suo or Lady Bu. I see Liu Shan probably getting the paintbrush like Ma dai, seeing that he wasn't a skilled fighter. |

If this is true, I think Lady Bu might have the crossbow. That said, for several reasons, I imagine more with a sword-whip like Kaihime in Samurai Warriors 3. Guan Suo may have the same weapon as his father. |

@ Fantaji: You're welcome. @ TrevorxTravesty: I will definitely buy the PS3-version, like always. And i hope (but doubt it), that PS3 will have a similar function, which allows you, to hear your own songs. I would play more instrumental music too. Music from the last Swordsplay-movies. Also such epic music, that sounds like it is from the game "Shadow of the Colossus." |
