Look at the Opening DW7, when he jump to Zhao Yun, he carry the badass Kirin Fang! Why cant Koei let he carry it in all the cutscene? Is it really hard? Or they're planing something?
Its just a sword?... Who cares..

Aslong as hes carrying a sword and not something else then it shoudnt even matter.

Seriously.

Wow the Wei's video was amazing...yeah they did not show all the characters revealed so far but it was good....of course my favorite chracter always impress me you know it Zhange He...his charge into the musou was HOT!!! Zhen Ji was next impressive...I like that she dances around with her flute musou seems very powerful...the siege weapon addition which you can actually control nice Koei...One month left, I am counting down the days.

I guess, they are showing in the cutscenes the weapon, which is equipped as EX. Xiahou Dun's EX-weapon is the Dao.
We can equip him with more than only his Kirin-Dao.
Sima Zhao's Dao is one of a dozen Dao's, which can be equipped for every Dao-User. Maybe just a Lv.1 Dao. Like the big sword from Xiahou Ba and Guan Ping, which is shown in both of these characters' screenshots.
Maybe they have just shown in the Wei-PV two separate "gameplay's" from Xiahou Dun and cutted them together.
The opening movie is unchangeable.

@Guan Ping:How many time did you actually watch that video ? :uh:
As all weapons has became a part of a bigger whole in this game, don't see why it's something note worthy
Not like I care about something tiny, but that's not good at all :hmmm: .. I feel like many spike are pricking my heart  .Let him use his weapon and I will be more than happy :/ !!
He gets a Sword, his animations look pretty much like his old ones. His final level weapon looks identical to his old level 10 Kirin Fang and it is massive.

He gets his old Musou back as well.

What more can you want? At least its not that God-awful pole mace that made him slower than Dian Wei.
You mean 4th weapon
and this is not his old musou it more better than that
I played DW4 primarily so Level 10/11 Weapon =P

I'm sure he will.

In every game he's modeled himself after the same look his dad has and clearly idolizes him. Suo looks like the punk child that some unfortunate fathers have to deal with.

Yeah. The one who dies alongside him will definitely have a stronger bond with him.

Not only that, but Guan Ping actually looks like a young Guan Yu in DW7. Check his musou screenshot, his facial features bear a striking ressemblance to Guan Yu's. Like a young god of war.

Guan Suo looks like a weak emo, and doesn't have any similarity with Guan Yu.

The funniest thing is that in the novel and the DW games, Guan Ping is supposed to be the one who was adopted.

When i look at these two young guys, i can't believe, that Ping is Guan Yu's adoptive son and Suo his own (at least i believe, they show him like that).
Ping looks obviously much more like his adoptive father, than Suo.
Sometimes the adoptive son is more esteemed, than the own blood.
These two are maybe a good example for that.
Before the reveal of Suo, i couldn't imagine, that Koei would surpass their Zhong Hui (whom i meanwhile like much, i only didn't like his head and very first cg-stance) and Xiahou Ba (never mind anymore, his helmet fixes my/our problem) reveals.
I think, Koei made a complete dog's dinner of Suo.
I don't mean only his "pretty boy"- appearance.
They could have made him pretty in an other and better way.
In a way, which accords much better with the wiki-description i have read:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guan_Suo

If there is a really good reason, to like Bao Sanniang now (i like her anyway), then this reason is Guan Suo. Because he don't even deserve such a woman.

I've noticed that Guan Ping and Cao Pi are the sons that most resemble their fathers. They both have the same facial structure that their fathers do. Similar eyes, noses, lips. They have paler skin of course, but that is to be expected as they are younger.

I read that Guan Ping was his real son historically but adopted in the novel. Guess that's why they made him look very similar to Guan Yu.

Yeah Guan Ping was his biological son in actuality, I'm confused as to why LGZ made him adopted in the novel.

Maybe to raise Guan Yu's stock a bit, that he could care for some as if he were his real son even if he wasn't.

Well, yeah, that's right, but he's still portrayed in the games as Yu's adoptive son.

Anyway, he seems like he'll change archetypes this time. Going from the admirative son to the young and talentful rising warrior, who died too early to mark the era.

At least, that's what his newly added ressemblance to Guan Yu makes me think.

They're just showing off different swords that can be carried by the characters for chrissakes! Not everything is a friggin' conspiracy!!

Yes, I noticed it too.
However, the icon represents the nunchakus.

He can not fight bare hand, since that would mean he would have no weapon, even less a unique weapon. It's strange... The nunchakus must be hidden.
Or he uses them only for a few attacks.

Just like with Ling Tong in DW5; a lot of kick attacks!

The icon is a nunchuck. His concept art shows him holding nunchucks. There's a lot of particle effects going on in that screenshot, it's likely hidden behind one of them. Let's just accept that he uses them.

Everything you just said for Guan Ping was already there in DW5....the look, attitude, weapon, everything....

So actually this isn't so much as change as it is a reversion back to the OLD version of the character....

DW6 is officially being erased out of existence......and I say "good riddance"!!
