I believe Zuo Ci is going to pull a Nu Wa/Fu Xi.

Make it in one game as a guest character, come back in Warriors Orochi.
Zuo Ci really had no purpose being in DW in first place, but he was still a fun character none the less. I would love for him to make an appearance in another Warriors Orochi game, but this time fighting for the mystics.

I really liked the Xing Cai, Guan Ping pairing.
I don't really know how this works, only like my third post.
I don't really know about the history aspect of the DW series, I only know what the game tells me. Hopefully posting here more will help me learn more, as i've been playing this game since I was 6, i'm 13 now.
Anyhoo, hi.
if u dont wanna read the books, watch the show.

http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Romance_of_Three_Kingdoms
This looks very interesting- I shall bookmark it and look it up on Amazon when I next have the chance. :)
theres a newer 2010 series of three kingdoms.

http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Three_Kingdoms

only watch it if ur down with made up stuff. it doesnt follow the novels as tightly like the 1994 san guo TV show that i linked in the first post.

Been reading pages and pages on this for ages haha, you guys sure write alot.

If there is one space left in the game it would be easier for them to add in an 'Other' character due to the fact that they do not need a storyline i.e Yuan Shu. However some one in Wu would be good, I personally am not getting my hopes up incase they are tragically crushed beneith Xu Zhu's belly "/

There was also an Anime that went up to the End of the Battle of Chibi.

You can also read the novel online if you have time. Very Shu-bias though and Bao Sanniang doesn't appear and Guan Suo doesn't get much of a mention. Even Guan Xing had more screen time than him.

Oh man, the top of that link XD Relevance ftw. But thanks though, i've been looking for a copy of RoTK myself, instead of just going off of hearsay.

Guys, you're getting off-topic. If you're going to relate ROTK to the game that's fine, but stop discussing about what volumes you have because it's irrelevant to the discussion.

@TheSexyMidget - You can make GFX Requests at the GFX Board once you have 50 non-spam posts.

Wait, so what I'm getting is:

You play the Kingdom modes until near the end? (Wei, Wu, and Shu)

And then you unlock Jin to finish up the storyline?

I thought I read this somewhere... so only Jin would have a good ending? Could we at least play the fall of Shu? I wanna feel being actually overwhelmed and desperate like Jiang Wei's xtreme mode in DW4.

I doubt you have to "unlock" Jin.
I personally believe they'll be there from the start along with Wei, Wu, and Shu.

But yes. The majority of Jin battles are supposed to be against Shu. So I would expect the Fall of Shu.

The inclusion of Liu Shan, Zhong Hui and Deng Ai make me certain the fall of Shu will be there for both Shu and Jin. The kingdoms are supposed to have fairly accurate endings if I'm right, so basically they'll probably go all (or most of) the way to the end, but not all have a happy unification ending. Execpt Jin that is.

Is it just me or is Cai Wenji somewhat out of place? She's wishing for peace, yet she goes around playing a killer Harp with a smile on her face. Creepy...
No more than the Qiaos.

Or any woman not named SSX or Zhu Rong.

Just suspend disbelief. ;)
All the women fit perfectly in their respective kingdoms to me. I'm going by in DW and not history.

I'm a hardcore DW fan and I didn't mind the Xing Cai x Guan Ping thing. Although its mostly people reading to much into it and not realizing they were just friends in DW5. You can't really define what type of person is a casual DW player or a hardcore one based on their knowledge. :/

Cai Wenji x Cao Cao? No thanks, I'm still waiting for Empress Bian to come and handle all that.

Cheers for the info. Sorry for the off-topicness.
What character will you guys being trying out first?
I'll be playing Kingdom Mode first so i'll play as whoever gets played in Wu first. :)

For Chronicle Mode though I will go for a starting Shu character (Most likely Zhao Yun 'cuz I always use him first to get familiar with the mechanics again lol).

On the topic of chronicle mode, does this mean that even though Kingdom Mode battles are available to play in this mode, the actual battle will just be like Xtreme Mode in the Xl's where random people pop up and you just have to beat the crap out of them? That sucks....

I miss Free Mode already..... oh well I'll get over it :D

So no info whether the dlc is coming overseas? *Sighs*

Edit: Aww I'd like to unlock Jin rather than have the ability to play them from the get-go.... For people who are new to the series it would basically give them the story without confusing them or giving them spoilers. Playing all of Wu, Wei, and Shu's stories first to unlock Jin's storyline would be better story-wise as it would be reminiscent to Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep where after you play all three of the main characters' scenarios you'd unlock a final chapter to round off the story. Basically the story would make more sense if Kingdom mode was played out like this, especially to newcomers.

The character, which is given in Story-Mode. Most probably Shu first.
If i would have the choice, i would choose Zhao Yun first, like always.

What Koei means is that it'll be fairly accurate for Shu and Wei with Wu as an afterthought.

Sima Zhao - "After 13 battles I've defeated Shu!"
Soldier - "What about Wu?"
Sima Zhao - "Who?"
Soldier - "The other Kingdom?"
Sima Zhao - "Oooh... Those guys. They've been awefully quiet. I haven't even fought them since Zhuge Dan rebelled and my brother died by my General Wen Yang."
Soldier - "So, are we gonna take another 13 battles to conquer the land?"
Sima Zhao - "Heck no! Those guys die in one battle!"
Soldier - "Might I suggest having Du Yu lead the assault?"
Sima Zhao - "Du Who?"

I'm on the contrary actually - I'd like to see what the hype is all about with the new kingdom; I'd actually try them first if I ever get the game. Everyone pretty much knows the Wu, Wei, and Shu stories, and I hardly doubt their stories from previous series installments will differ from DW7, so starting with Jin first isn't that much of a problem.

Plus Wang Yuanji looks like an interesting character to play with, I'd want to start with her first >)

I do the same, I couldn't get used to DW6 as I couldn't control characters like Dian Weis weapon, so I just chilled out with Zhao Yun. I'll miss free mode too, it helped me so much. As you can tell i'm totes not over it. :P
I agree with not wanting to have to unlock Jin, I like to unlock new characters relativley early.

Jin kingdom story should finish with fall of Wu. Wu should be the last they fight, not Shu. And since this is a DW game, they will not allow Wu to go down without at least an epic final battle between Jin and Wu forces, exclusive to Dynasty Warriors lore. :)

I agree.
I've been playing DW since DW3. I know what's going to happen with them. How their stages are going to flow, etc.
I'm curious on how this new Kingdom will play out in the game, and their relationships.

And Wang Yuanji does look very interesting. :shifty:
Love her so much already.

Hahaha, though in all seriousness I'm really hoping it doesn't turn out like this, even though it seems to be going down that path. :/
