The video demo of Sun Shang Xiang where she was walking around the city reminds me of Strikeforce. Anyone know what battle that is where the Sun Family seemingly allies with Cao Cao and Liu Bei?
They were allies during Yellow Turbans I think
Not so much allies at that early of a point as they all actually served under different Han Generals and didn't have much of their own forces yet. The battle in the SSX gameplay video was the Campaign against Yuan Shu, a battle that had Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and the Sun Family ally against a common enemy.

Well sharp enough garrotes can instantly cut open the throat or behead someone in fiction.
It could possibly be that then, I’m not 100% sure :XD ... I always felt it was be a bit too hardcore for a game like Dynasty Warriors however if they do bring the weapon back, i would like it to focus on more than just attacking one person, the range was always to limited i felt and that’s why they emphasized so much on the ice element. I think the fan suits Simi Yi better aswell to be honest..

A battle that is apparently filled entirely with generic enemies despite being important enough to have these three powers work together to defeat.

Are the musous unique to each character like the ex attacks or are musous just unique to weapon catagories (sorry to bring this up, im not complaining though. I just want to clarify).
As clarified a couple pages back, there are two musous per character.

Each character either has:

A Ground Musou and an Air Musou

or

A Ground Musou and a Special Ground Musou (usually a grab)

They are NOT weapon based.
I'm confused, I thought it was weapon based if you don't have an EX on it? (so multiple characters using the fan if they aren't profficient with it (ex Sun Ce, Yuan Shao, Lu Bu, etc) then they will all have the same musou???

Also, although rolling is gone, I like double air jump, liked it from Warriors Orochi

EDIT: lol on school pc ftw

When they realize how to exaggerate Yuan Shu into Dong Zhuo 2.0 then they'll add him.

I get the feeling he'll end up looking like a bad transexual with a terrible accent and attitude. Given Koei's need to fill the game with every niche and cliche possible lol

Negative.

If you're using Zhao Yun for example and you have the Fan and Greatsword, and you use his Musou he'll pull out his spear for those musous only for the animation. There are no weapon based musous, only character based ones. Even if you're not using the EX weapon they'll pull one out for the animation.

I figured it was possible, just hadn't seen anything about it so figured it was primarily fiction when they spoke of it. I knew they slit throats with them at the very least, beheading was more doubtful.

I just saw the scans and let me say a couple things.

Huang Gai. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Just so gross. Is he wearing spandex biker shorts? :kurokan:
From the waist up he is fine. But really Koei? Really? Does every waifu have to dress skimpy? I don't think Papa Jian would like this. ( < ---- That is funny. :shifty: )

Gan Ning. Don't like the blonde hair, but Gan Ning is still pretty sexy to me. :kurokan: I'm just going to be using his DW5 outfit.

Diao Chan. Beautiful. She's not showing to much skin as DW6. And her colors match Lu Bu's, and Dong Zhuo's. So That made me happy. Her hair is awesome, as well as her entire outfit. Best. Diao. Chan. Ever.

Xu Huang. Now I don't know if it's just the scans poor quality. But Xu Huang's outfit seems bland. I love white on him, it fits his character. I hope the HQ version shows some texture. Or something.

Pang Tong. Better than the moth. He reminds me of some sort of travelling monk. Or something like that. I hope he gets back his comedic side back.

Wei Yan. AMAZING. He looks like such a beast. I love it. :o

i wouldn't want to be the guy that tested that!

after looking at the scan, Huang Gai has way too much skin showing, Xu Huang has a little too much white for my taste but the presentation is amazing, and Diao Chan is a little too wide for being so skinny.

i think this is the best Wei Yan design yet, i'm just curious to whats covering his face this time.

The forces were Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Lu Bu, and Sun Ce.

Wei Yan should of gotten the DW4/DW5 look, but the new look isn't bad at all. I agree this is the best Diao Chan ever. And her best hairstyle too. Clothes aren't as dark as people make it out to be, there are plenty of bright pink parts. :XD

yes it did, but they failed to defeat Yuan Shu for various reasons, mostly because the imperial army (Tsao Tsao's army) had to defend the capital from attack by the army Jia Xu was with IIRC.

Yes Lu Bu did partake in some of those battles as well, but as far as I recall that's never been portrayed in the games. I think Koei doesn't want to confuse anyone on all the flip flopping that went on around that time as Yuan Shu and Lu Bu went from allies to enemies a couple of times, as well as trying to say Lu Bu and Cao Cao were on the same side just to have them enemies in the very next battle.

I really hope the stage for the battle against Yuan Shu is different than DW6's version. That was my absolute least favorite stage in the game.

its good thing not watching kingdom mode and almost all the stages until US release, that will make the soundtrack and story very surprising.

I don't mind watching Conquest stages videos though. :XD

Well a couple of them.

The only 2 things I am worried about when I get my jap version are:
1. Not being able to follow the story
2. Accidentally deleting my characters progress (I did that accidentally with sw3z by going to edit warrior and clicking the bottom option then the top option. I then picked Oda Nobunaga and I reset his level to 1! That made me mad, He was a level 30)

Those are my top 2 worries. That is all though lol. I'm excited just 7 more days!!

Once I beat the game I will come here and find out the story line. I always find the english version watered down for some reason, might be because of the overly exaggerated voices. Koei needs to pay them more so they will do a better job.

I think we could see a darker, more seductive Diao Chan this time round, her new design does slightly imply it... and I think Cai Wenji seems very similar to the previous, gentle Diao Chan.

I'd like her to be the usual Diao Chan on the inside, but forced to become seductive and manipulative for the revenge of her father and in order to kill Dong Zhuo.
Because lets face it, she was a manipulative.. well, you know. ;)
