That doesn't officially mean that there wont be more characters added in dlc does it? Besides if they do they could just add more trophies/achievements. I would rather Koei come out and say rather or not we are getting Characters or not. I don't care either way. If we don't then that leaves us with DW8 which would be great. If we do get characters then Great!.

All I'm gonna say about the range thing is Wind Scroll.
How sure are you?

Because if this is the case I can completely admit to overreacting.
while there is no proof, I instantly assumed as much. Koei's gonna do all they can to make the characters look as awesome and powerful as they can, hence whey everyone's health is so high, enemies are dying in 1-2 hits and the range is so huge. My guess is easy mode + windscroll + Very good weapons + max level was used to make everyone appear unstopable.
ah i dont think thats so true... the enemies are actually not dying with 1-2 hits, and are barely dying at all considering the amount of enemies on screen. look at the one with ma dai's ex attack- he gets not one KO. not one.

with the exception of the one where ding feng does his musou... the enemies are not really getting killed.... which gives reason to believe perhaps its not on beginner or easy, but rather normal or possibly hard.
That is true. The enemies are getting more health and probably was on a higer difficulty. In the shu pv ma dai got kills while in this he didn't.

I just hope that there is a beginner difficulty. I really hope the easy difficulty isnt as hard as 2-4. Heck even 5 was hard on easy on the last levels of a character's musou mode.

I prefer Pang Tong's mothman look in DW6. It made him look mystic/shaman like.

This Pang Tong looks like he's donning a green chicken suit with a wok on his head whilst walking on two planks of wood.

I concur; I really enjoyed the look he had in Dynasty Warriors 4, and I loved his casual, easygoing attitude, they complemented each other. :D

Wherever you've seen them, must've been somewhere strange ;P

His shoes are probably the worst part for me, how could anyone actually walk in them!? Would be practically impossible, no wonder he rides his staff! x3
In my opinion, by far the worst Pang Tong yet. Probably the only design that I'm 100% against in DW7 >.<

I love Pang Tong's new design but like someone said earlier, those sandals have to be painful lol. Yeah, everything about his new design is great except his sandals. I will use his new costume more than any other.

Are there still those entrances to the battlefield where more enemy soldiers (or ally soldiers if you take it over) can spawn from?

With the trophy list it is now official info that there won't be DLCharacters.
It says " all weapons except for downloadable ones."
" all stages in Conquest Mode except for downloadable battles."
but "Unlocked all officers' voices in the gallery.", and not "Unlocked all officers' voices in the gallery except for downloadable ones"

Sorry for those till waiting for Mister De.
i have a feeling they wouldnt reveal the fact they might have dlc characters through a trophy requirement though, however subtly it may be. i think it still remains inconclusive whether we may have dlc characters or not

I'd say that's a poor way to state "evidence" against DLC characters.

If anything the fact that Gundam Musou 3 got tons of characters/weapon combos as DLC far overrides a trophy listing anything.

Hmm for some reason imo personally i didn't really like the new designs....for characters esp like Zhao Yun, Xiao Qiao, Guan Ping, Xu Huang, etc and others...
Something just didn't seem right. But i guess i'll get used to them. I thought DW6 had some of the most EXCELLENT designs but of course, not the best gameplay and others. So in all versions(UK, Jap, US) for this game, you can download the DW6 designs for the characters, am i correct? If so, thats great! I love switching costumes.

You were able to see such an entrance in the Huang Zhong gameplay video, but i didn't see any characters coming out nor a Gate Captain who was defeated as far as I can remember. I assume it won't be there for nothing, it might have the same use as DW 6 where the enemies flee into that area.

I'd say that there still is a chance of DLC characters, but I'm thinking it's unlikely. If Koei announces a lot more costumes, weapons, and battles, then I'm okay. DLC characters would be nice, but I bet they'd rather wait for an expansion such as Empires or Xtreme Legends if there is to be one.

I thought about something, since everyone with the same weapon is claim to have the same s string and charge attack then what is the point of using two weapons. Example would be I'm using Ma chao he has his spear an sima zhaos Dao yet can't use the ex attack and musou, so that is good but then I decide to use xiahou duns Dao yet since it's the same exact thing moveset wise it's just to provide a different look and no other experience than using sima zhaos moveset right?

I'm just wondering because some people told me that's how they will play to keep things fresh and different. I don't think any one has asked this question and it seems important.

I think that you're right, Reverie. There will be no difference between equipping Sima Zhao's dao blade or Xiahou Dun's except for the design of the weapon. It seems though, that they might be talking about keeping the design fresh.

And I don't think it's been confirmed, but I read something on Chin's blog that said not all characters of the same weapon category have the same charge attacks. Go to the weapon analysis bit of Chin's blog (you can find the link on KW) and see for yourself in the questions section in the end. Again, I don't know if this is true or not, so don't go believing this and telling everybody about it!

Ive made that point many many times and people choose to ignore it... That reason exactly is the reason why i will never be using 2 weapons in the battle, only the ex weapon they have... Simply having a downgraded moveset of someone else proves little point and makes the gameplay less interesting faster... It doesnt give the game more experience, it simply gives it less.

There is no Sima Zhao's Sword and no Xiahou Dun's Sword, there is just Sword.

The only unique look ones are character specific, so there is a Kirin Fang (Xiahou Dun) that is an ultimate level sword, but only Xiahou Dun can use it.

But the reason you'll want to mix up your weapons is because it allows you to mix up your combos, IE: I could use the Spear to get in with its reach, and do a knockup, swap into Dual Swords once I'm in the air to combo them in the air (since they are shorter range but higher damage/speed) and receive a bonus because I swapped out the Spear (might be bonus range or something)

People who focus only on using the EX weapon aren't gripping the full extent and usage of this system. They're just wanting to run around with an EX and spam C6 to clear crowds.

@Shadowclaimer - are character-specific weapons and mid-air weapon swapping confirmed?

hmm reaLLY? there is a beginner difficulty by the way, but i dont understand how playing on easy can be enjoyable, or sometimes even be difficult.

i mean i guess we all play differently, but ive never played anything below hard save for the very first musou mode of an entirely new game. but with the looks of the pv, ill prob jump right into the hard difficulty.

with that said i hope chaos isnt as ridiculous as it was in dw6, you
seriously could only strike twice, then you had to roll.. and repeat the process... and even, with a good character of course, master became too easy after a while...
