Well I just got through seeing the screenshots and Huang Gai doesn't seem all that bad (well at least not as much as the scans and cg artwork make him out to be). He still looks somewhat awkward though lol. Diao Chan's whip looks amazing and the way she uses it looks graceful and (for some reason) secretive. Wei Yan doesn't have that furry thing on the side of his face like I though he did (what did I see in that one pic lol). The double voulge looks amazing as well. No comments on the others, except they all look great.

Edit: Pang Tong's 1st screenshot looks very freaky for some reason, now I know why he wanted to hide his face lol.

Makes me remember of DW4. It had 3 stages for Yellow Turban chapter. Interesting though, to separate like that rather than put into a whole bunch.

I'm collecting information on Switch Attacks for my Weapon Guide, anyone who knows of a video that shows evidence of a switch-attack or such please let me know.

So far I've gotten:

Flying Swords - For a period of time flying swords will strike and attack in concert with the player's swings. (Site)
Bladed Yo-Yo - Causes a shockwave around the user. (Eng GDC)
Arm Cannon - Attacks will cause detonations each time they attack for a few seconds. (Site)
Chain & Sickle - Counter, when attacked the player will blast the enemy with smoke and blind them followed by a swing. (Site)
Dual Rods - Slams the ground causing a shockwave that knocks back/up. (Eng GDC)
Wheels - Will hang in the air and strike an opponent/hold them for a few moments after switching. (Eng GDC)
Sword - Strikes a foe with a burst of wind. (Eng GDC)
Rapier - (Shown in Eng GDC multiple times, no noticeable effect, might be buff)
Throwing Daggers - Throws them sporadically all around. (Eng GDC)
Spear - (Shown in Eng GDC, hard to tell, might be the grab he does)
Pike - Grabs a foe and slams then with an earth shattering slam (Eng GDC)
Chin said a while back that would be the Spear switch attack, so yup it's that awesome spinning grab that they stole from the DW5 intro.

If need be, I can help you out with that switch attack info compilation next week as I work my way through the game and unlock more weapons bit by bit.

That'd be appreciated as usual ^^

Until I get my hands on the game on the 29th there's very little work I can do on that stuff =P

I'd love to be able to make videos for everyone showing off all the character's EX / Musou attacks + the weapon switches as I unlock people and some gameplay. However, neither my friend importing the game nor I have a capture card, so any info I help provide will only be in the form of descriptions (and possibly camera pictures if need be, lol).

However, thinking about when SW3 and HM came out makes me sure there will be others streaming the game and whatnot come next week anyways for people who just want to see some legit gameplay footage, :XD .

I would assume that too.
It's good to see, that there are even more weapon apparates, than the other two we already know.
Interesting for me, to see Guanqiu Jian, who is on my wishlist since a while, as a generic.

Given after MVC3's Japanese release I watched footage constantly until its US release and went Gamestop to Gamestop getting them to put it out in demo stations and letting us play it until they kicked us out.

We'll probably try the same for DW7 lol

Sorry if this has been covered already but....I see on facebook one of the DW7 screenshots has a picture of Sima Zhao getting 12 "Skill Points"

Have we discussed skill points yet? Are skill trees returning? Again, sorry if this has been discussed or covered already.

Yes skill trees return, you can see more information on the main EU site about it.

Basically you get skill points by defeating officers then spend them in your trees. There are a variety of things for each tree (like stepping up your S-string to 3/4/5/6 steps, unlocking your ex attack, unlocking a second musou, and some other stuff)

Sounds like the same skill tree that was used for Destiny Mode.... (Dynasty Warriors Five Xtreme Legends)

I really loved how that one was done. It gave you freedom of choice on what you felt you needed, and didn't need.

It looks like there's like 10 skills total for each character, and they branch appropriately unlike 6's super redic skill trees.

Is there a screenshot I'm missing that has the skill tree on it?

EDIT: Nevermind, just found it on the US website.

It also says, as the caption: "Available skills vary depending on the officer". So, I guess that would mean that each officer has a few unique or different skills.

Hey all, listen to the time 4:00 on the new English trailer where Zhao Yun defeating Yuan Tan, his dialogue shows and his voice can be heard.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZPQ05Yb804&feature=channel_video_title

Christopher Sabat (Vegeta), anyone?

@LittleDragonZ: If that is Vegeta I will faint. -faints- It does actually sound like him. I'll try to find out by playing it over and over. :XD

EDIT: Wait, Zhou Yu was on Wang Yuanji's side in that one place where she faced Yuan Shao and Zhuge Liang. She killed Zhou Yu with her musou! Does that mean there is friendly fire?

If Vegeta/Kuwabara (a.k.a Chris Sabat) is in this game, then I will revel in joy.

Edit - Jaredx2, nah there was talk where you will actually be able to attack your allies, but you will never be able to damage them.
