Hopefully they decided to redo all of them. Although surely Taishi Ci is an odd choice if they only decided to do a few.
I do think Omega Force and or Koei have gone on record as saying they actually really like Taishi Ci. Not sure why they love him of all people, but hey, why else would they give him a weapon in 6 special, among other things?
I also think they really like Dian Wei since he was one of the few to have a story mode in DW6 out of all other Wei people. He didn't even have his signature stages (Wan Castle) which doesn't make the slightiest sense. And I believe he appeared a lot in the promo videos and such. :o

From the OST list, these battles have their own BGMs:

Battle of Guan Du - Wei and Shu(!)
Battle for Wu Territory - Wu
Battle of Chang Ban - Shu
Battle of Chi Bi - Wei and Wu
Battle of Fan Castle - Wei and Shu
Battle of Dong Kou - Wu
Battle of Wu Zhang Plains - Shu
Wang Ling's Rebellion - Jin
Guanqiu Jian & Wen Qin's Rebellion - Jin
Battle of Cheng Du(263AD ver.) - Jin

There's also a theme for Nan Zhong, aka the Nanman's territory.

Interesting to see no Wei side for Chang Ban, Dong Kou or Wu Zhang Plains, and no Shu side for Cheng Du 263AD.

Someone already said about Taishi Ci, don’t you guys listen?.. Infact someone even responded to that same quote... Are you guys just looking to be very annoying..

It was said that Taishi Ci is a fav of one of the higher ups in Koei Japan.. Similar to why Okuni is staying in Sw.. Only Taishi Ci is more important.

What are you even babbling about? necrosis was just expanding on what Eni had said, and Fuuma was just talking about Dian Wei. Seriously chill out.

Those kingdom battle themes are pretty good, although had a feeling all the battle music would be more rock mix ballads. I think those preludes will just be few and in between.

Interesting to see that some battles will get their own BGM. Probably more to be announced, right?

Shu at Guan Du, could be interesting. Probably withdraw after you meet Guan Yu or something. Then that would be good. Thanks for sharing the BGM's!

I think for if Shu really is at guan du, it would like guan yu killing the two generals and then withdrawing. Gotta love the dw3 portrayal of guan yu killing those two.

And seeing Wang Ling's rebellion looks like all three rebellions of shouchun are in.

Edit: Again my skimming makes me look like an idoit as I comepletely overlooked that the second is right below the first. But strange in how Zhuge Dan doesn't have any special music for him.

Agreed, although in DW5 when playing as Guan Yu at Guan Du I'd always chase after Liu Bei and kill him..I feel bad now.

I didnt like it on DW6 (Not Special) when I couldn't fight on Yuan Shao's side against Cao Cao, its one of my favourite battles :( But now that we will it makes me a happy person, less then a month till launch!

To expand on a topic talking about why certain characters are focused on more when the original character mentioned has a reason that is not exactly game related is lacking in logic in my opinion.. And to start the sentence by saying "also" seems to imply that he ignored the reason why Taishi Ci is important by pairing the two together in which he says he doesn’t understand why Dian Wei didn’t have such and such just because they like him aswell... Maybe they dont like him as much?... heck, whos to say they love everyone who had a musou and hates everyone who didnt..

To me it looked like he just ignored the reason and went on to bash more people, important or not..

Also i am chilled out..

Shu side Guan Du will either be you as Liu Bei helping out Yuan Shao or Guan Yu helping out Cao Cao.

Also for those curious, Dong Kou was one of the many battles Wu fought Wei near He Fei, and it usually grouped under the He Fei campaign with other battles like Ru Xu Kou.

Quote:

In 223, Cao Wei generals Cao Xiu and Zang Ba launched an attack on Dongkou. Lü Fan commanded the defense, leading men such as Sun Shao and Xu Sheng into battle. Things went poorly for Eastern Wu from the start: a heavy wind came and destroyed much of Lü's fleet, and Cao Xiu attacked viciously. To further add to Eastern Wu's troubles, Sun Quan's younger brother, Sun Lang, accidentally burnt Lü's supplies of food and weaponry. Miraculously, Sun Shao and Xu Sheng were able to counterattack, and it was through their hard work that the battle was won.

Those other Wu battles only makes want Xu Sheng even more... You know, next to the late Wu adds that Wu desperately needs.

PS: Anyone ever play League of Legends? Just thought... Xin Zhao reminds me of Zhao Yun mixed with Lu Bu. >_>

Even with list of OSTs, we still don't have any information on the 263-280 part of the story... :o

And about Dong kou battle, was it in any of DW before ? It's strange, as there are no playable character in your quote...

Only Jin. In Kingdom mode it follows historically.
Jin, though they had to deal with a lot of rebellions, did rule China in the end. Shu, Wei, and Wu, will have different endings. Not sure if it's going to be just a mood killer or not. I hope not. :kurokan:

Though if you want character happy endings maybe Chronicle/Conquest mode can do that? Each character has a little mini-musou.

Ya Im sure the 62 tracks will include alot of music form previous DW's. And since in conquest mode we can pick the music, that means Welcome to China and EVE will be jammin on mine!

I'm not the person to ask.... :kurokan:
Send a letter to Koei. I personally I have no idea why they added him in Jin. Such a strange place to put him. Wei or Shu would've been much better. And made more sense.

@RandomGuySaysHi - I agree. It needs to be a tear jerker.
