And this Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlwWKLQzYVE

Where the AI (mainly Ding Feng) that are owning her a*s..

Now as we can see, the game difficulty is still there but sadly everyone who has very little else to do on this forum are completely ignoring that video (and others aswell tbh) and just thinks the English video is everything and the one and only... This game is still hard.. it could be even harder. It certainly isnt as easy as its shown in the english one..
I think the mainstream's definition of "owning" and yours are vastly different. Yes, Ding Feng is pretty active in trying to hit Wang Yuanji, and the enemy fodder dog her tail every moment she takes another step, that AI by no means deserves any praise.

DW3 had it perfect. See here. The enemy AI was very aggressive, but they didn't need their damage power multiplied seven times in order to make the game "harder". All the damage troops did back then was small, but you still had to watch out because they attacked. A lot.

Way to be needlessly offensive in your post, BTW.
I agree, I miss how DW3 troops were. As for DW6 difficulty on Chaos......I don't see what the hype is. You spam roll, attack 2-3 times, roll, repeat and its easy. If you don't use that tactic its very annoying.

Ill stress again, I REALLY REALLY miss troops in DW3. DW2 as well, plus all those body guards. Idk what it was about those 2 games but it actually felt like a BATTLE, it felt the the troops were pushing eachother back and all this epic fighting was going on at once. I'm not complaining at all or blinded by nostalgia, there was just something about those 2 games that made it feel like a real battle.

It didnt bother me that boydguards took kills or that my attacks were interrupted, those games were extremely fun on harder difficulties and they felt like real battles where you are a commander just a little stronger that the rest and rallying the men and helping push through in certain areas.

That is pretty much what I'm talking about. That drives me insane.
Then you pretty much have to somehow push them so they go in the right direction.
I shouldn't have to that. :hmmm:
You know you can just walk off untill they are off screen and they would go where they are supposed to.......

Guys, DW6 was not that bad... Even though it had a Crappy System, Movesets and Characters, the Stages where AMAZING!!! And the Targets where quite fun to accomplish! Now DW7 it's right before us, let's just leave DW6 be forgotten...

Again....
I shouldn't really have to do that.

Either way, they still need to improve AI altogether. But I would prefer more capable allies.

The thing that makes DW6 too easy is that roll move. And the roll is not going to be in DW7 so its going to be hard I think.

I thought the enemy AI in DW6: Empires was pretty aggressive. The Liutenants killed me more than the named officers!
And the amount of time I wanted to throw my controller at the screen because the soldiers kept knocking me down when I was about to perform a charge attack.

it was mostly because the officers lasted longer, and the odds were purposely stacked against you so you couldn't just hang back and let your allies win the battle for you, like you can in some battles now. The best example of this is DW3 Hu Lao Gate playing as Dong Zhuo, when you played this scenario the game would send Diao Chan to the front lines rather than letting her sit in the castle, and when she died Lu Bu would join the Allies. every level had various things that made the odds go against you. it forced you to play and with difficulty.

I wonder what the difficulty settings are going to be, since there are 5.

Easy Normal Hard Chaos are a given, but where will the 5th one fall? ..my friend said that the highest difficulty was called "Heaven" when she looked at the videos (she is studying Japanese).

It will most likely, if a fifth difficulty is there, will be Master.
Wasn't Master in one of the previous games? :kurokan:

Exactly what RandomGuySaysHi said. :O

Well in DW6 it was Novice Easy Normal Hard Master Chaos. Perhaps it could be that again. Although in Japanese the hardest difficulty is usually Shura/Demon I don't understand how Heaven makes sense...

Ah, okay. I didn't play much of DW6, so I wasn't familiar with the change in difficulty levels.

What was the difference between master and chaos?

the difference between master and chaos is

that chaos takes off your health alot no matter what level you are

where master only takes off a little bit of your health depending on your level

but that's in my experience

That's true! Hahahahahahaha!

Talking about DW7, does anyone think that we are going to get DLC characters? KOEI might keep a secret about it, and I think is really possible... All the Recent KOEI Games has DLC characters! lol

Off-Topic, but read please!

What was the difference between master and chaos?
Master: Way too easy.
Chaos: Way too hard. Only way you could win is by spamming the roll move and never attacking more than two or three times, very boring.

I miss SW difficulty, it was perfect and it matched the level of your character.

DLC Costumes, weapons & Stages have been confirmed

However it is unsure what weapons we will get and if it will be a skinned weapon, or a new weapon with a new moveset.

We also don't know if new stages will be added to conquest mode or kingdom mode. (Conquest mode most likely)

DW4,5 & 6 costumes are free DLC in japan only atm, KOEI also said they are working on new DLC costumes for the future.

Okay troops in DW6 were more aggressive as you moved up the diffculty chain. And the AI was smart when you faced them not giving you a break and sometimes forcing you to retreat for health. If you wanted to play safe you best move with your units in it.(Unless you are just that good like yours truly ^.~) The only thing was Koei gave us to much to defend aganist it. Rolls, blocking from all directions, musou attacks that lasted for to long, and the weapon stat that lets you kill things in one hit.(Don't remember the name of it.) But its not like you can jump into chaos and know these things, you have to play and die alot to know find them out so I think it was pretty good.

I noticed in master that the enemies fought the same as in Chaos but were easier to kill and didn't take a whole look of health from you. That way those who want to play on a harder diffculty and not take the extra damage can enjoy themselves. If the same AI from DW6 master and Chaos return then I would be fine with it.

2000 post WOOT! ^_^

This video actually made me LOL

But yeah they tended to actually move once you moved away from them. I remember officers galloping around trees in circles once!

They'd probably just make chaos mode as hard as DW6's chaos mode in my opinion, hardest difficulty ever!
