I have a question if anyone can answer me, i assume people who imported knows japanese well enough to be playing the JP version but do you think for someone who doesn't understand JPN do you think it would be easy enough to navigate through the menu and understand the new system without knowing japanese? i always do those in for all the past DW and even SW

so those who imported do you think its still possible?
Its DW. You're not gonna need much Japanese to get the job done. The only thing that'll likely take a lot of trial and error are the quizzes from the npc in towns. Otherwise most menus you can navigate with some trial and any customization outlets or other higher functions can be trialed as well, or make use of some translations or notes for keywords.

Its largely import friendly, so do what you want. Though when the thing's international release dates in a few weeks, and comparatively lower price tags than Japanese software, may do you some good to buy there. But your call. I'm sticking Japanese only from this point in cause I have large disagreement with the quality of koei localization after 2005.

Hey I was just wondering whether some parts of Japan were saved from the tsunami and earthquakes? Because there are still live streams being done by people who're playing DW7...

I wonder if any of them have downloaded the dagger-axe/scythe yet... I REALLY WANNA KNOW IF ITS A NEW TYPE OF WEAPON!!! Sorry for the caps :P :)

Hey, thanks for the reply and your view as well, i agree with you on most part and what turned me off from the US release isn't the wait but the voice over and whether or not are they gonna release a JP voice DLC what are your views on that?

I think I'm one o the few people who LOVE the DW english voices. People think they half ass it but in reality they are really trying. You think they just do a major game like DW7and just wing it?

The american cast is very underrated. Give them love and replayability and you'll grow to love them. I personally don't need a japanese voice track. I would like it but I don't need it.

Even if they were to release the Jp voices as DLC, I'm still swayed towards the Japanese and Asian versions. Besides the dubbing quality drop after 5, there's some things that get removed out of the translation like use of style names and such references. Weapon name translation also bothered the hell out of me in 6 where many were just straight up made up and didn't carry any effect of the original names. And with pictoral/poetic languages, you think they'd do better with all the liberties that come up with words that can translate to a number of latin derived terms.

Really its largely the same issue I have with english FF13. I find the translation to be awful and rife with let's just make **** sound needlessly complex despite the fact the foreign terms used in the JP version largely work. The only exceptions applying to Optima and Driving Mode and some grammatical structure in some item names.

I will say though that having the JP audio as a DLC option to compensate for the removal due to Microsoft policy when it comes to competing formats is a push in the right direction though. Shows some attention to the user base which is always better than having a company that ignores feedback.

:ot: It's not like the whole of Japan was wiped out. Damage seems to be concentrated on North East Japan, predominantly the city of Sendai, with some damage to Tokyo too. Don't hold your breath though, there's been an explosion and it seems one of the nuclear reactors is now going into meltdown...

:ot: ....Oh..... woops sorry about that hehe

Anyways I wish the streamers didn't just spam their musous like a regular attack... oh why did koei have to reduce the period in which the musou gauge filled up?

I was looking at some gameplay not bad i gotta say lol i could do without the musou every 6 seconds though but anyways... i don't speak Japanese but i saw a video of da and xiao qiao and im like wat the hell  they always make da qiao act the oldest but when she does a musou its like "kid mode activated" and when xiao does her she just attacks to me it seems da qiao will be a lil more childish in this game haha (correct me if im wrong please) diao chan and lu bu look awesome very elegant and powerful

I haven't seen Xiao's musou yet (because I'm trying to stay away from the streams lol), but I do agree with you on Da's. I swear even though the developers gave her boobs they made her act like a pre-adolescent.... I'd rather they give her DW4 personality back to her, because at least I could respect her then -_- <_<

Continuing with crap musous in DW7, I just have to say that Lu Bu's is just so........... un-epic..... I mean, he doesn't do anything except shoot a gigantic laserbeam at the enemy. He could at least do something like a super version of his c1 charge in DW3 multiple times, or swing his halberd a little more menacingly... I'm sorry for the rant.... woops....

I think the only musou I'm happy with is Zhang He's aerial musou and Zhen Ji's musou in the Wei trailer.

Btw, I noticed that diao chan's dw 1 costume in-game looks infinitely better than her dw6 and current attires (she does look amazing in all of them).... I don't know why though.....

The last couple of days I found some pictures of the alternate costumes, but saw that some of them have already been posted. I hope these haven't:

Thanks for that... now I look at Yue Ying's original costume more closely, her hair seems a lot redder than I first thought. I'm warming to her costume, but I will probably end up just giving her the 6 one (which was her best imo).

From what I've heard, the kingdom mode versions are one-faction battles, but the YTR in Conquest mode is multiple factions. I could be wrong though. I haven't actually played it myself to say for sure.

yeah i must admit that Da Qiao acted more childish than she was before, even her Multi-raid 2 persona were more mature (even more mature than in DW 4) imo..

and also this is just me or Xiao seems taller than Da?? -_-

as for Diao Chan, her alt musou where she spin herself like balerina (featured in Cai Wen's Gameplay) are so amazing!!

Lmao so for those that import and barely know Japanese, do you guys like laugh when a character laughs in the game, or hen someone says something bad azz you assume its bad azz, when someone dies you assume they said something that's not cheesy? I really dont get this see mainly with dynasty wariors 7 the seamless gameplay and kingdom mode. I mean I am sure y'all knows what happen but damn it seems illogical a little bit it's almost like being impatient now having Japanese voices and english subtitles is one thing now that usually makes sense. I am just curious like how do y'all get the story without assuming mainly with Jin, being the new kingdom. Like if I went to see a Japanese movie with No English subtitles I'd fall asleep mainly if there is a lot of talking I mean damn lol. I just never see logic with importing something you 100% don't understand it's really a waste of money.

You're welcome =). By the way, Yue Ying is my favourite female character in the DW series, I liked everything about her in DW4 and 5. I enjoyed her moveset, so I'm especially waiting to know more about the recently announced downloadable weapon.

Ahahah, I don't know, I didn't take those screenshots, I just found them. However I think it's nice to see the details of the back of her costume, too.
