rofl there's this hilarious exchange between Liu Bei and Liu Chan in chronicle mode

Liu Chan: Father, what is most important for a country?
Liu Bei: You must emphasize the people. Without the people the country cannot be established
Liu Chan: Then, why don't we just leave it to the people? Why do we need to work so hard?
* Liu Bei's character model is shown placing a hand to his head and shaking his head
Liu Bei: Just talking to you can make someone doubt himself. Make sure you don't talk about this to other people.

I'm really hoping that if/when someone gets the game they'll hack the disk just to see if our DLC-on-disk fears are justified (If the DLC EX weapon replacements are on there, then I'll be furious).

Pang De will not be DLC, this much is pretty much confirmed, theres hope for Empires more than XL as well.
Well, that's obvious but it doesn't stop people from clamouring for him to be DLC or pestering Chin about it.
Well, anyone who bothers Chin about him being future DLC for DW7 is either an idiot and can't read, or just plain annoying. He basically already said there was no hope for Pang De DLC this late (I guess all DLC is on the disc?)
Wow, I love being called an idiot for simply expressing an opinion.

Nobody knows what KOEI has planned, Chin included. I stated an opinion on his blog, and he happened to like what I said and said he'd pass it on. I organized the push to get the ROTK games released in English on PC, and Chin had a huge part to play in that. Neither he nor I are new to the idea of asking KOEI for things, and while I'm certain he has better things to do than to act as an advocate, I hardly "pestered" him for anything. But people on these message boards like to act holier than thou just because they're perfectly happy with the status quo.

I didn't even ask him to say anything to the dev team about Pang De, but he said he'd mention it anyway. I asked him a question, he gave me an answer, I said "Shucks, here's why that's too bad, oh well, still really looking forward to the game." I didn't spam his blog with "OMG NEED PANG DEZ :kurokan: " or anything. So by all means, continue talking down and namecalling, because you've all certainly earned it by... what is it you've all done again?

I don't expect Pang De to make an appearance at all until the next game myself, but the narrow-mindedness of you all astounds me. You assume that if Pang De returned, he'd just be a "Zhang Liao clone." Because KOEI couldn't possibly change a character's weapon in a new installment of a game! It's not like they did that with Xiahou Yuan or Zhang Jiao or Dong Zhuo or Cao Ren or Diao Chan or Liu Bei or Zhou Yu or Yue Ying or Sun Shang Xiang or anyone else, right? No, that's just preposterous! I should be ashamed for even suggesting such a thing.

Wow you certianly shut them up! I applaud you :D
I could never write a comeback like that..... :/

Anyways looks like I'll be playing this game on hard mode from the get-go, because the a.i is so much better in terms of them actually doing something rather than standing around, and not just because on the higher difficulties the damage they deal to you increases dramatically....

Edit: Just saw some Pang Tong gameplay..... Oh how I miss his tornado and wind attacks... now his attacks including his Ex and Musous consist of the fire element....... <_<

Knock it off. This is about DW7, not about how awesome you are.

 It is so hard to get everyone to gather into a great, big group hug.

I'm going to have to start bringing in the coffeecake and Folger's.

I can't stop watching the game-play streams; it is killing me to sit here gawking with envy with how lucky others are that they are already playing DW7.

And I'm with Kahi; I think I'm going to start off on Hard mode. Never done it before, considering I usually wait until my characters are at decent stats before throwing them into Hard/Chaos difficulties, but I think it will prove entertaining. :D

Blah.

First of all, nobody "shut me up," so save your applause.

Secondly... Nice self-righteous rant. I'm far from "narrow-minded." I simply said my opinion on the new "Pang De issue of the week" while blatantly mentioning, twice, that I meant no offence and you attempt to retort with a bunch of irrelevant BS.
Good one.
Did you even read my post? I said if Pang De was added as DLC he'd most likely just be a Zhang Liao clone. Then I went on to say that'd he'd likely appear in XL or DW8, but apparently you were too busy giving yourself an enema with your own head to see that.
And for the record, I did no name calling whatsoever and if YumichiHeart's passing comment about "people bothering Chin about Pang De for DLC" being "idiots" irked you so; I suggest you get over it. Neither of us even knew it was you specifically that asked Chin, nothing personal at all.
We were talking in general, in case that was hard to miss.

B!TCH MODE: ON [OFF]

Okay, now.. I remember when we were first getting information on DW7 it was said that the higher the combo you perform on the a defeated officer, the higher the stat bonus on the dropped item (ie: ATK+5, DEF+2 etc.) However, I've yet to actually see that happen. I've watched people combo the crap out of an officer only to pick up a +2 of something. I'm kind of confused about this.

Perhaps difficulty also plays a role with exactly how high of a stat bonus you receive; having +8 stat-item drops on an Easy/Normal mode would make the game far too easy.

Thank you for bringing this to the table, Sagittarius; can anybody explain this?

Nope, difficulty doesn't
I was playing a 10 star chaos stage and I kept getting +1

The only +8 I saw was kingdom mode, e.g. Wu ZHang Plains aka later stage in Kingdom mode.

Oh my, that doesn't sound too good.

So, if difficulty doesn't determine the stat-power, and neither does the length of the combo-string or (I'm assuming) character level, then what does? I would hate for the level of the stat-drops to be irrationally randomized and, for the higher level drops, rare.

@Lord Kahi: I like what you said and that's all you need to say lol.

There are 10 stars max that's a lot of stars I thought there were 5.

I read the comments on someof the videos some people have some funny expectations on kingdom mode like we use to boy are they I'n on a huge surprise. "I can't wait to use cao Ren on fan castle man"one example out of like 100 more I could use. I'm also talking about people on YouTube expectations before we found out the unpleasant surprise.

So, because I'm wayyyy too lazy to read back through 98 pages, what's the bottom line for those of you who have played it? I'd grab it myself and give it a shot, but I figure a month isn't too long to wait for a localization unlike the months we're waiting for SM3Z to even be confirmed and for Gundam Musou 3 to come out. Does this game do Dynasty Warriors justice, or is it another DW6 with pretty graphics but not much else?

Im still waiting on my copy, but from what I have gathered; alot of former fans (aka people who stoped at dw4 or w/e) are very intrested in playing number seven. Even the guy over the counter at game said, after seeing what he has,he will be buying it.

Of course the elder user of this account, has no intrest whatsoever..and insists that Gundam mousu 3 is better.

from +1 (or +2) per officer is a long way to max all characters that don't have a Kingdom Mode.... :o

@sogetsu kazama, there are maps from DW6, like Mt. Ding Jun and others that i don't remember the name...

There are a few stages in CM where I have gotten +4s for doing >16 hit combos. One of those stages is the Animal Guardian stage in the top left which is just a VS stage filled with tons of generic officers coming in waves of 2. Besides those few stages, all I get the majority of the time are +1 and +2 if the combo is >8 hits.

Quite many, Tong Gate, Xu Chang, Hu Lao, Jie Ting, He Fei, He Fei Castle, Guan Du, and so on including the ones from DW6 Empires. I wonder if they really take all the previous maps back. I like to see some previous stuff inside the new game

To be fair, most of the DW6 maps were really well thought out, had a lot of depth and size to them. Maps like He Fei make me happy they're returning, and they've improved them visually too. Maps that weren't so good like Yellow Turban Rebellion, they've redesigned for 7.

I loved lots of Maps from DW6, hopefully they take maps from DW4-5 as well.

Okay, so like i have been playing dynasty warriors for like ever now.. and like yeah okay so they removed some characters which is sad.. but then again what they do with the current guys is really good. i mean im glad they brought in a new carry on (Jin) i mean it gives more to the story.

Many people are complaining that their favourite characters have got the axed but i just want people to remember that - their will be a DW7 Empires. theirs no doubt about it. they did it for 3, 4, 5 & 6 so why not 7?

anyways, i am looking forward to DW 7 to come out for UK - but quite sad that it has been delayed by 8 days. :( but i guess their adding more stuff and i just hope it doesnt get delayed again. but... I CANT WAIT.

@Whitewolf76969: Zhu Rong never shared a weapon with Cai Wenji so I'm not sure what you're talking about. I wouldn't really care if Diao Chan was cut, though it would really confuse me. If Zhen Ji were cut from the game, I would be upset. But asking her to be DLC would be the last thing on my mind after seeing what DW7 is offering.
I'm not too sure what you were trying to get at with the questions, but..
sorry ment wang yuan ji
