What I noticed from watching a few videos is that everyone tends to only kill the officers...

Am I the only one who actually clears the entire stage until it's completely filled with allies?
It seems to have reached a certain point where having fun killing nameless peons and hearing their girly screams of fear is a waste of time because your key allies are in danger.
I see this problem in every single video i have ever watched of a warrior game, and in fact i made a topic about it (wasn’t very popular though  :XD ) and i always raged about it... However then i did a Dw6 gameplay video (and some sw3 ones) and realised the only way i was gona finish the video in time is to rush the officers :/ ....

unfortunately the streams are another case and them rushing the officers is kinda depressing :(, I myself can’t wait to mindlessly kill peons :D

(On another note: What you guys' top five most wanted weapon DLC?)

Gan Ning's Daggers
Zhu Rong's Boomerang
Meng Huo's uhh... Tree and Mushroom.
Jiang Wei's Double Ended Spear
Da Qiao's Magic Stick Thingys..

Side note, i would rather Pang Tong have an Air based moveset aswell :/ .

My top 5 most wanted dlc weapons would be;

1. Wire Claws
2. Bladebow
3. Erhu
4. Twin Fans (though I want Xiao Qiao's dw 3-5 ones back, not the small ones from dw6... oh and a mix of her dw6, and da qiao's dw3 moveset would be nice :) )
5. Buckler Blade (actually that and a re-do of Cao Ren's personality, facial structure, and some implementation of him in Kingdom Mode ;) )

About the Dao issue: the streams were by a limited number of people, who happened to obtain a powerful Dao early on (and one of them upgraded later), and used that on every character after that to make it quicker. I'm also not sure if they weren't playing on easy mode for the same reason: to breeze through the game because of being on a live stream while there still was attention.

5: Cao Pi's Double Ended Sword

Just saw Yi Ling map and it reminds me of DW4 Yi Ling. Is it the same map or just similar?

My Top 5 weapon list as DLC would be:

If they has to be the weapons from previous games:

1. Double-sided blade (from/for Cao Pi)
2. Bladed bow (from Yue Ying, but for someone other, because she most prabably gets her scythe/dagger axe, which declones her already. Maybe for Wang Yuanji)
3. Buckler blade (from/for Cao Ren)
4. Wire claws (from/for Sima Yi)
5. Sanjiegun/Triple nunchuck (for Guan Suo, although he doesn't deserve it)

Besides them (of course for a later game):

1. Double-sided torch, which can be split (for Zhu Ran)
2. Double sticks (for Han Dang)
3. Hookswords (for a new Wei character)
4. Double daggers (from Gan Ning), combined with a hairblade (bound to a long ponytail) and given to Huang Zu
5. Pirate sword (from/for Gan Ning), combined with a dagger, which is the hilt of the sword, and can be split

Hmm top five DLC weapons huh?

#1:Blade bow, no brainer... honestly my most favorite weapon in all DW
#2: Cao Pi's DW5 Dual-Blade/Cojoined Swords, my DW5 main weapon...
#3:Meng Huo's Pillar/Tree/Mushroom, had so much fun with this in empires
#4:Ling Tong's Three-section Staff, another DW6E favorite.
#5:Zhou Yu's DW5 Elder Sword and moveset... Yum

Close runner up in 6th place would be Da's Twin rods, but they dont make the list because it was hard for me to see Da w/o fans ^_^;

I know my list has several DW6E weapons, but honestly... with the exception of Cao Pi's dual-blade just about all my favorite DW5 and previous weapons have already made it in.

Just watched all of the CG cutscene movies...tbh there needs to be more....Nevertheless they're great.

As for DLC I want to see from previous games:

1.) Diao Chans Maces
2.) Cao Pis Twin blades
3.) Meng Huos Tree
4.) Cao Rens Buckler Blade
5.) Lu Bu's DW 6 wep (Forgot name)

1. The DW6 weapon of Lu Xun(a Jian).
2. Cao Cao's "Sword of Heaven" from DW6.
3. Buckler Blade for cao Ren.
4. Sima Yi's Claws(my fav. weapon for him. Ever.)
5. Kung Fu for Guan Suo.

My Top 5 DLC skils/Hopefully DW8 skills:
1. Tomes(True speed, fire, etc, etc)
2. Fury/Musou Rage
3. a 2. EX attack
4. a 3. musou, where they use the weapon(similar to DW2-6 Musou's)
Number 5 is more a feature than a skill. Decloning of the similar weapons ;)

My top 5 weapon DLC wishlist:

Cao Pi's DW6E/S weapon
Erhu
Sima Yi's claws
Zuo Ci's Laser firing book (although this is unlikely as it wouldn't really fit any other character)
Gan Ning's daggers

Tempting to add Meng Huo's Pillar/Mushroom/Tree weapon as a 6th.

Even if you're not making a video, it seems to be a problem. Lately it seems they've been making your allies more and more sissyfied that they can't take care of themselves anymore. You can slay SOME peons sure, but you can no longer really take time out to have fun and going on a killing spree unless its a linear stage like Hu Lao Gate.

Personally I wouldn't like all the DLC weapons to be old weapons returning. Yes, I'd love to see the buckler blade, the daggers, the wire claws etc. return, but I'd rather we got some brand new weapons. Twin spears anyone?

Twin anything would be an easy and good way to make an entirely new moveset.
Twin nunchucks would be nice ^_^

Ya know, one of the worries i had about this games weapon switch system, was that i'd be playing as guy with a girls weapon and it would just look weird. Or i'd be playing as a strategist wielding dual halberds killing everyone. Gotta say this video doesn't make it look as bad. Zhuge looks quite natural here.

I have a question about costumes guys. How do we unlock the second costume? I notice a lot of people already have second costumes unlocked quite early?

If you download the DW6 costumes DLC, can you equip it to other characters or is it just for yourself? I mean, can you give Ma Chao his DW6 costume while playing as another character? And do the DLC costumes appear when you wear them during a cutscene?

Alternate outfits are conquest mode only I'm afraid, so no to the cutscene thing. I'm fairly sure you can only give them to yourself as well.

Ahhh.. That’s laaaame!!

However I’ve always seen the Ai as complete morons who at times have such a glitchy system... At times where I’ve gone to get 4th weapons and the commander ends up dyeing somehow halfway through, so with my save point, i go to him instead when he died last time and he has a full health bar and about 10 peons around him, i go to walk away and then BOOM... -_- ...

Hopefully even though most die easy, they don’t need to be saved anyway to carry on...

It was confirmed by pictures they do appear I'n cutscenes. Best thing to do is try to see if what you think is right...is right, just so we won't mislead others. There was a picture of sima zhao and Wang yuanji I'n a cutscene both wearing alternate costumes then one with Lu bu.

I was going off I'd read elsewhere, and after looking at it again it appear that it was only referring to the DLC costumes, thanks for the correction. Although in my defense the question was actually asking specifically about the DLC ones so what I said was actually correct.

Yes, somebody said you simply select the costume in the Gallery and then anytime you encounter that officer, they are wearing the one you selected. My guess is you have to unlock this feature in the gallery, probably through "friendship" bonds in CM.

Also, I'm not sure that the DLC costumes aren't included in this...they showed WYJ in her Lawson outfit in a cutscene, so who knows, really?
