imagine that they delay the release of this game it will be crazy :meantongue: :meantongue: :meantongue:
Dude, they can't. They need to fly the plain and if I'm correct, it takes 11 hours to fly from Japan to America. :)

Actually they create the English version of the game in KOEI America (which I don't know where it is) and they ship from there. They don't ship an English version from Japan. :P

EDIT: I find it kind of funny...I heard Wang Yuanji's name being pronounced and although that seems like the "American" way to say it, it's correct. XD (Wahng You-an-jee as compared to Wahng You-ahn-jee, the way I thought it was.)

EDIT2: I must say...Zhang He sounds like a chick sometimes when he's attacking...

EDIT3: Talk about pronouncing names correctly! Shang Xiang, who sounds amazing this time around, said Lian Shr, like someone in another topic said their name is pronounced. My god I'm loving this game! X3

EDIT4: Too many edits...I just want to avoid double posting! XD Shang Xiang encounter quote is hilarious...She references her bow which she does not have...

Just fought Lu Bu on Hu Lao gate part 2. The only thing that makes him hard is the fact that your attacks do not stagger him, so he is free to swing while you are attacking him and overpower you.

A good strategy that worked for me was to get an attack x2 power up and use musou's on him. Musou attacks DO stagger him and inflict decent damage. I ended up losing because Lu Bu did an air musou that killed Yuan Shao from half health lol. Had Yuan Shao not came so close to the battle, I would have EVENTUALLY defeated Lu Bu.

Just a heads up for people who want to kill Lu Bu. I normally kill him in every installment of DW on the first meeting. (Minus Dw1 which was a fighting game)

Edit- Today is my 1 year anniversary with my gf so Ill be back on later if anyone has any questions just message me and ill tell you what I can.

I've mentioned this before, but to people who are all giddy over them pronouncing the names "correctly", relax.
They're still pronouncing things wrong, just differently for some reason. I'm not trying to be negative, but moreso informative.

If they're saying Whang Yu-an-jee, that's very wrong and Wang Yu-ahn-jee (as I assumed they'd say it) is far closer to the correct pronunciation, which would be Whang Yu-en-chee.

So yeah.. They're not doing things right, they just decided to be incorrect differently.

Its not like its easy to get them all right anyway, I mean hell Chinese-Germanic translations have always been hell or misorganized and plagued with improper notation.

I'm pretty sure after passing the names down for almost 2000 years they're probably improperly pronounced even by Chinese standards as well xD

The truth is, no one knows how the names are pronounced 100%. I'm a history student and we constantly study old English manuscripts - we don't know for sure how to say and pronounce many of the words in them.

All they would have to do is get a Chinese speaker to tell them the proper pronunciations and have the voice director inform the voice actors. Seems easy to me, I'm obviously not talking about ancient Chinese pronunciations here.
It's been something about the series that really baffles Chinese speakers, it's as though they didn't even bother to check on how to say things.

But hey, I'm used to it so I don't care too much. Just thought I'd point out their bizarre change in incorrect pronunciation. :hehe:

EDIT: In that Destructoid review, Jim incorrectly states that only certain characters have two musous.

I don't really care about the pronunciations. It does not bother me at all. I'm not Japanese, so I wouldn't doubt that I'm pronouncing every character's name wrong! :XD

Well the issue comes down to its not as simple as pronouncing it with a chu here and a zoo there, there's a lot of Chinese dialect that can't be pronounced in Western languages particularly. That's why there are two-three different translation dialects.

I'm sure eventually they'll get it more accurate. Just going to take a lot of time.

Review from destructoid rates it pretty good, 8.0, but I'm highlighting something.
This is about conquest mode
Quote:

it's a cool mode that is useful for grinding and there's a significant amount of content to discover, but the way it's set up and the relatively shallow battles, make it a poor replacement for Free Mode. There is no real reason why Free Mode should have been taken out, as the Story Mode battles could have easily been played without the character-exclusive cutscenes if need be. It just seems that, again, Omega Force took an easy excuse to be lazy.

Yea we noticed sadly.

Most of the story mode maps do come back in the Conquest Mode but the full stages with officer layouts and everything do not. There are however 5+ battles per faction that are set battles between faction A and faction B (like historical ones) with randomized officers per side within factions.

This.

I know it won't make everyone happy, but I'll relish in the fact I can take part in randomised battles across some of my favourite maps. Replayability factor = up!

I hope Fan Castle is one of them. Will have to look at Melange's map.

I was really sad after they announced that Free Mode was gone. If they put in Conquest Mode and Free Mode, less clones, and well, just those TWO things would make this game AWESOME!!!! Its a shame. I hate randomized officers but the game looks really fun, so I'm buyin' it!!!

One more day until the release of DW7 can't wait for it. I have read the review from Destructoid seems a reasonable score for someone that knows and play earlier DW series.

Some of the pronunciations are better but most are still wrong. Zhang Jiao was right still Liu Bei and Lu Bu are among those wrong. Watched the new gameplay a and zhoug hui was not as bad as I thought.

Any reason it asks you to do the other stories before Jin? I wanted to go directly to the new guys but it gave me that message...

I guess I'd also like to do Wu soon as well, so maybe I'll just go through them first.

Also, what is the recommended difficulty to start with fresh characters?

Unfortunately it is not. Here is a post I made a while ago about which battles are in as "Mass Battles" and the Alliance Battles:

Alliance battles is a battle where you (as whoever you want to be) ally with Shu, Wei, Wu or Jin to help them to conquer China. There are 5 battles, starting from 1 to 5, it gets more difficult as it goes along.
Many love these stages for that they are challenging online.

Mass Battle is a battle of many against many. these many are randomly picked from the characters. Again fun stages to play online and / or get skill points with.

@TrueConquer:
Yeah, it's that easy.
First you have to learn it from the skills though.

same , he sounded french for some reason  and Sima Zhao sounds good now too, guess they hadn't cleaned up the audio files when that initial english trailer came out. i'm liking alot of the english voices

@ Trueconquerer you push R1 and 0, or just 0 [air musou is also just 0 in air]
