So, to those playing Wu's story, I apparently can't seem to hit the castle wall at the right angle to break down the wall at Liu Biao's castle. Am I failing hard, or is there something else I need to do there?

Sun Ce= Fails with the catapults.

Edit: And I'm an idiot. Was aiming at the obvious crack on the wall, not the castle door. I fell for the obvious trap!

I remember something cool that happened while playing as Xiahou Dun in Xia Pi.
Halfway through the level, there will be a cutscene where he loses his eye. But instead of wearing the eye patch you get to complete the level with one eye.

Thats sounds cool, and it makes more sense that way, because if a eye patch just warped to his face, I would have been puzzled.

Off topic, I actually think the edward elric voice is fitting for Ba, it doesn't sound as bad now that I've heard through the game.

Alright, who's picking the game up tonight? Let's have a DW7 PS3 party!

oh that can be done.

I'm not sure how many people can be invited to fit in a PSN Text Chat, but I think at least 4 or more. :) :) :) :)

People can text chat anytime, no matter if they are on the XMB or playing or whatever! It's very convenient and groups have been using it to chat! :)

It's recommended opening the chat window on XMB while playing, and after you type and press Enter to send message, just hit Home if you want to hide the XMB Text Chat window.

Then you can just press Home anytime to bring up and to check the history of messages or start sending another message to the text chat group.
It's real-time and easy to use.

Of course you can't control character while you have the XMB/Text chat window open, but closing and opening it is as easy as pressing the Home button.

Latest messages posted appear on the top right of the screen and not distracting really!

XBox live party chat dominates that harder than a fat kid does cake.
Until peoples mics begin to cut in and out, or that horrendous high pitched noise starts, oh and people getting lagged in and out but yes it's more convient than text chat.

Xboxlive party chat can be temperamental to say the least.

April the 8th seems so far away, though today i reserved a copy at my local gamestation =]
You must have a bad connection, that's never happened to me, but my PS3 gets disconnected all the damn time. That's why I play any game that features online multiplayer on my XBox.

Okay, I just played a few hours of DW7 before I'm heading to work and i have not experienced any fps issues at all. I would also like to note that having your PS3 adjusted to 1080p has no affect on your framerates problems.

I also would like to know, when you guys mentioned about installing while playing the game, was it the update everyone had to do, or did you install it into your system?

Last thing, since I haven't played online yet, I can not give my thoughts fully, but I would like to say that lagging comes from bad internet connections; whether it may be you or your teammate.

Plus, your characters take their Skill Point earnings from Chronicle mode into Kingdom mode to share with everyone! I do so love this game....lol.....it's a pinnacle for the series I think.
I thought that would happen at first too but that isn't actually true. The way skill points / stats in Kingdom Mode work is that it pools together everyone you earn in the mode and carries it from character to character. Say I started Wu's KM and went in with Sun Jian already having 500 SP and Sun Ce having 200. I played the first 2 stages and picked up 160 SP. Sun Jian would thus have 760, but when it switches to Sun Ce he would have 360. Hope that makes sense.

Technically it's more efficient to play through KM without spending any skill points and then doing so afterwards in CM. That way when you started CM, each character you played as in the story would get whatever amount of SP they had at the end of their last playable KM appearance.

I went more in depth about my findings on the weird way stats work in KM and carry over from KM to CM in this post I made a few days ago:

Have you tried using Xiahou Dun in Chronicle mode, gettin his skill points up, then going back to Kingdom mode Wei-Xiahou Dun's arc? When I did that, as the story progressed, every character got the same amount Xiahou Dun had in Chronicle mode. Or this might just be a blip I dunno.

Not too far into Shu's story mode at this point, but I can already tell that this game has a much stronger narrative than past ones. There are some great interactions between characters such as
Spoiler: click to toggle
that were not there before.
Quite fun. :) A bit disappointed at how slow the fan moveset is, but a lot of the other ones are awesome. The axe one is absolutely beastly.

I don't see how it's my connection when I have tested it and its completely fine, plus I NEVER have in game lag. Most of my friends list at one point was sending out messages complaining (there was a few weeks where xboxlive was terrible and people kept getting lagged out etc).

Private chat was fine but Party chat as being very buggy (after the dashboard update), it was even reported by miscrosoft that they were working on it, which they did.

Since reserving my copy, i've been even more excited :P April the 8th can't come fast enough.

The DW7 announcement tomorrow is bound to be DLC for EU and NA, of course this will make me very happy, BUT part of me secretly hopes it's the EU release date being brought forward haha ;)

Wish i could pre-order the game, but i have no one who can buy it for me :/ Now i have to miss the pen wich is a collecters item for me.

And i hope it comes in stores here in the first place, since not even a single KOEI game has ever been released in my country apart from Samurai Warriors 3 for somehow :( . But when i last checked the store it had Sengoku Basara wich really suprised me. Not to mention that the price was 17,50 euro. So i have a little hope it comes out here.

As for you all who have the game already and people who are going to buy it, enjoy!

It was only recently pushed back in the EU... theres like .0001% chance it'll be pushed forward, much less so soon.

I've noticed the FPS lag on my ps3, havent messed with any settings so it might just be me playing at 1080p... but even then the slowdown isn't really that bad at all.

Previous DW's had much worse FPS lag.

So far i am LOVING this DW...though i keep having to double check myself. I'm still playing thru Wu storymode and its hard calling Quan 'Shu-ahn' instead of 'Ku-ahn'

*sighs while he waits for PS3 system update*

Edit note: I need to find a SD option if there is one... the text is ridiculously small on my SD Tv... >_<

1.) Sun Ce is boss.
2.) Can't wait to play as the other Wu forces. Getting kind of boring now with Quan taking over the whole show, but HEY, at least it looks like Ling Tong is going to be playable soon!
