Yeah he definitely looks better with the twin axes, but i'll keep a pike on him with it.
I either use a Pike for his secondary or Iron Fan (its got a nice area Crowd Control switch attack).

I just love his second color scheme, looks like a true warrior monk.
stats wise, im assuming the best thing to do would be have at least one 5 seal slot weapon on you?.

Eh I kinda play Guo Huai without any serious seals (on him I have like 5 slots total, his 2 slot cannon and a 3 slot secondary) and I still have a blast. But usually I do run with a 5 slot secondary as a stat-stick to beef my main weapon more than anything on other people.

For Xu Huang truthfully, although the Iron Fan is a nice moveset, I prefer to just fill it full of great seals (Attack+++ and Attack++, Move Speed, and Officer Assassin make for broken officer killing) before I had 3 stars on Twin Axes I had put my Twin Axe Master on it as well.

Then for the main weapon just Officer Assassin and the best Attacks I can. Or a second Movement Speed.

man, making tiers is going to be difficult if we count for maximization possibilities, as there is so much stuff to take into account. Duel weapon wielding along with the switch attacks have made a lot more of an impact than I would have thought possible.

Btw as I said with the Iron Fan Switch Attack, was playing a stage that was an arena on Hard, and was facing like 4 officers in a small area, switch attacked Fan, it grabbed three of them and held them for like 3-5 seconds which gave me enough time to combo Xu Huang's Alt Musou twice (since due to its timing and time lock you can actually catch enemies falling out of it with another one).

I'll enjoy seeing Tier Lists honestly. There's so many damn possibilities.. I can't see how people could complain about clones. I've used the same weapon on 4-5 people and had no issues or complaints, it plays entirely differently for me. Xiahou Dun <-> Cao Cao being one of the big ones.

I got pretty excited when I saw this game stacked with my other games. I was like "WTF?!" So I got pretty excited there.
Anyways, gameplay wise I haven't encountered anything seriously disturbing, that includes voices, weapon moves, and FPS lag.
So far, I have not touched KM. Playing CM all the way. After getting high enough stats on all characters and getting all weapon tiers, then I'll move on to Kingdom on either hard or Chaos mode. hehe I hope that mode will put up a challenge.
Anyways, woo-hoo! for JP Voice DLC. But no word of costume DLC's yet for the US/EU of course? I wanted to hear that the most, JP voice can come after.

Alt, it hits a larger area and for more damage it seems. But it does have a time delay but it time locks enemies in an area around.

Most alternate musous that are ground ones that aren't different from their original (IE: are just general crowd-clearers) the Alt is almost always better. Guan Yu is another example.

I NEVER complained about clones. Shadowclaimer is right, I do not have a problem with clones. They actually seem completely different charcters, even though they are "cloned" . Everyone made such a big deal about it.

It's unblockable too I believe?

Well the way it works is some Musous actually force a Flinch if enemies are close enough to you when you use it. I don't remember if Xu Huang's alt does or not (I think it does), I know his first one doesn't.

And now that I think about it, his first Musou does hit farther away forward, so it would be better for a linear crowd probably. His alt is really good for a bunched crowd or officer killing.

I second this. It doesn't even feel like playing clones in this game despite EX and Musous being the only thing to differentiate the movesets.

I noticed someone mentioned the Twin Rods on females not being so good. This is a little odd as seeing that in Conquest Mode, my Bao Sanniang has 3 stars in them. O_o Is she naturally 3 starred or 1-starred with them? Just so I know.

I've also just started on Shu's kingdom mode and I'm currently stuck on Xiapi. Xiapi = Lu Bu and I broke the rule of killing Diao Chan. D: Geez Lu Bu, way to whine and rage over her. In my defense, she kept running after me with her whip, Guan Yu had to defend himself!

Pang De didn't pop up at Fan Castle as a generic
something i found out though
there is a Zhou Tai (he is from Jin) generic
haha i thought it was pretty funny as i ran into him tons while i was playing Zhou Tai
and i just thought that they were making him generic because i was playing him but yeah
you learn something new everyday! :O
I remember seeing something like that back in DW3. On Hefei Castle, there was a male Zhen Ji on Wu's side which was funny since I was playing as Zhen Ji herself

Everyone has an allergy to arrows..

You have no idea, I was doing the Twin Axe Special Hex and literally, I could've counted 300 Archers standing on the steps to the castle, they DRAINED my health.. in higher difficulties archers are brutal if you're like me and don't run with +Defense.

I'm talking cutscene wise, they take the cake in quick arrow deaths.

Dian Wei lols at their demise.

Yea I know =P

Sun Jian also has a serious allergy to boulders, at least in the older games. Where magical giant boulders find themselves laying perfectly on top of his crushed lifeless body.

Do they include the boulder in his death scene in this one?

Also Zhang Liao laughs at everyone else's deaths.

Profound sadness..

Is his death at least sad and not hilarious like in previous games?

Sorry I'm going to ask again because I'm really curious. Does anyone else have Sync issues when they play conquest mode online with a friend?

Even though we are both in the same fight standing near eachother, we have different situations going on than eachother, or something that happened to me will happen on his screen 5 seconds later. Or ill see him swinging at nothing, 30 feet away from me yet damaging the officer and troops i'm fighting.

Anyone else have this issue with the xbox or ps3 version?

Sun Jian's death is pretty alright to me. Not at all like the previous game, it was serious from the beginning to the end. Koei at last did acceptable cutscenes.

I'm gonna miss the cheesy ones that made me like the series so much though. I hope Zhang Man Cheng still receives the power, can anyone confirm this ?

Oh and also, for those who are still concern about the text not being readable on a SDTV, I can read it. The text is still pretty small, but it's more readable compared to DW6.

I've got one question for the lucky US players.
It's about the seals.

If I equip let's say...two whips on Zhen Ji (which has one star with this weapon), if I put the "three stars" seal on my second weapon, will I fight like if I have three stars when using the first weapon ?

If the answer is yes, does the same kind of thing apply for other seals ?
