I believe his name in the game is spelled as Liu Shan. Btw, after scanning through the last 30-40 pages or so I've come to the conclusion that this forum has lost it. Members and Moderators Alike. You all are acting a HOT MESS!!!! But anyways, regarding the possibility that we may get one last new character or "special secret" characters as some of you were calling it, I actually don't doubt it, yet im not exactly believing it either. It's possible ill say that much. After all DW5's secret character was Zuo Ci, who wasnt ever revealed until after the game came out. I was shocked when i came across him while playing the game. So....theres always the possibility. Edited by Keneticam, Tue Feb 22, 2011 12:35 am.

Maybe they can get Zhang Fei to do it instead. I can almost see that happening. "But you don't even like Zhao Yun..." "No, but I've always wanted to do that!" I'm excited for Huang Gai too. Him and Diao Chan most of all. |

What a coincidence. I find you irritating. /adds to ignore list Thanks for trying, GuardianAlexio, but some people don't let things go, and I won't have to pay attention to him anymore anyway. I agree that calling me out on it was immature, unnecessary, and childish, but the mods have other concerns on this forum. Ghetto General: Among historians, "Liu Shan" is the more commonly used version. "Shan" and "Chan" have different meanings even though they use the same Hanzi. "Shan" is used commonly in words referring to Imperial status, such as the word for abdicating the throne or the establishment of a new Dynasty. "Chan" is used when referring to Zen Buddhism, and while Buddhism had started to become a recognized religion in the Three Kingdoms era, Liu Bei and his family weren't among its adherents. |

No you're not the only one. He would be tied with Wei Yan and Xu Huang for my most anticipated but seeing as those two have more or less been shown already Huang Gai takes the top spot. And I really liked the club/mini-shield from pre-DW6. I didn't however like the moveset too much. If he kept the club and shield but had an improved moveset he'd probably be one of my favourite Wu characters. |

You know whats weird and probably means nothing but Amazon.co.uk have changed the release date back to the March 25th they had it as April 1st a day before Koei announced the delay weird huh! I'm actually looking forward to seeing Huang Gai maybe the lack of mention of him was to get that reaction from people who ignored him in the past (like me) I hope he has the arm cannon or the great sword instead of the club as those weapons suit him better than the club and the arm cannon would work with his bomb attacks which were his best attacks in the older games. |

I'm pretty sure his name is actually Shan. From Kongming.net: Thanks to a mistranslation on Koei and some other translator’s part there is some confusion as to whether his name is Liu Shan or Liu Chan. His given name (禪) translates to either Chan2 or Shan4. Shan4 means “to abdicate to someone” or “to give up”, while Chan2 is the equivalent of the Japanese word “Zen”, a form of meditation. There are two reasons why Shan4 is most likely the correct name. 1) Though Buddhism-related names are recorded as early as the Hou Han shu (Eastern Han), the usage of Buddhist does not become popular until the Jin dynasty (Zen Buddhism becomes popular even later in time). 2) According to Xiang Chong’s Sanguozhi biography, Qiao Zhou said that it’s fitting that Liu Bei started his own kingdom, because Bei meant “to prepare”, and thus Liu Shan lost it, since “Shan” meant “to give away”. If the later ruler’s name were pronounced “Chan”, this play on words would not have been possible. |

@ Wolfbane15: Hey you're right man. I checked amazon.de (Germany) and there is the 25th of March dated. Before that, it was the 31th. Strange. I will go tomorrow to my local Gamestop and ask them about their dates. But i guess, our Europe is just too shoddy for exact information. |

Now that you mention it, the arm cannon would be a great weapon for Huang Gai. I was hoping he'd return to his club, but now I'm not so sure. If one of those two is his EX weapon, I'll probably give him both of those and leave it at that. |

I persoanlly think that Huang Gai will have the chain boulder thingy, the weapon Cao Ren and DOng Zhuo has, I think it would be a ncie change to see Huang Gai use a weapon other than a club, despite being able to change both weapons, I hope that the boulder thing is his EX weapon |

Just checked GAME.uk and Gamestation.uk and they had it for march 25th as well! Coincidence? @Avieure yeah the arm cannon would be good but if it isn't his EX i'll give it to him anyway. |

I'm pretty sure either Huang Gai's EX attack or musou will involve bombs/fire somehow ^^ It just has to! Yeah, I think the arm cannon would be a great weapon for him...Combined with the drill spear ;p And I am gonna give Xu Zhu nunchukus & a bo staff just for the lulz

Too bad this won't be in the game, but that doesn't stop me from imagining it when I play through the level. Poor Liu Chan... he'll never, ever be taken as a serious character in some fans eyes. *has thoroughly enjoyed the last ten pages* You guys... |

I wonder, who is making that mistake. Koei said, that the game will be delayed for EU. But EU hasn't changed their date. @ Trevor: Nunchuku's for Xu Zhu? No way. He would think, that it is a pair of sausages, and eat them. And the Bo-Staff? Baguette. Edited by ThreeKingdomsWarrior, Tue Feb 22, 2011 1:32 am.

Sigh, a day never goes by without some....... "interesting" disputes. I do want to see what Huang Gai looks like since he's the only character we've haven't seen any pics off. Wu really doesn't have a group to represent them. Quite diverse you sould say. You got Gan Ning who was strong and smart but had a murderous streak about him. Lu Meng who was first all warrior and then mix warrior strageist. The list goes on. |

Wu's colorful enough. They don't need something as silly as Five Tiger generals to be badass. Such things are only there to compensate... Besides, I think Wu's motto is 'like a family' anyway. At least that's what their gig in WO1 was all about- don't mess with the family, or you'll get burned. Just like Shu's gig is "HONOR AND JUSTICE", Wei's is "We Always Take the Renegade Option", and Jin is "We steal from Wei". |

The nunchucks would be the best. Guan Suo flip would for Xu Zhu would be priceless. I just hope the flip isn't Suo's EX attack or involved in his musuo.

I really hope that was a lie though. Gan Ning is staying blonde for the rest of the DW series? Sigh... Looks like I'll just settle for the DW3 DLC. |
