Wang Yuanji's eyes are really strong... they can look innocent and happy and then a second later, menacing and blood thirsty. I think she's probably the only female I'll constantly play as. On topic, I really hope its more historically accurate this time. Not bizarre things, like Liu Bei showing up at Wu Zhang Plains. (OR Liu Bei outliving Zhuge Liang...) They said Ma Chao would have limited screen time (tis true, because he died early) so I think they are going the more historical approach. Sure, some characters could have a tad extended lifespans, but people like Liu Bei should not appear in every stage. |

The only thing that's been bothering me is look at Wang Yuanji's gameplay vids. How many unique generals did she fight against? I only saw Ding Feng, but i have to admit i skipped a lot of it though. |

He's banned for the moment(3 weeks being one long moment lol) so you or your sis don't have to worry. Think he was just defending himself because so many people were attacking? him. It was just Ding Feng bro the others were generic. Edited by QZW, Tue Feb 22, 2011 3:27 am.

Lol they said they will be focusing on wus earlier period so think about it man there are going to be alot of generics for late era wu. That's just one level as well. Now idk about y'all but the only thing I'n my opinion is the fact the wore out her only ex attack(I still think there will be more than one hehe). |

There's a part in the original ROTK novel where, apparently, Liu Bei throws Liu Chan to the ground after Zhao Yun returns him at Chang Ban. That's all I know after that point, but I believe it was because he was angry at the child for putting Zhao Yun in danger. Which is definitely a great excuse for any parent to throw their baby at the ground. /sarcasm |

Haven't read the book, have you? After Zhao Yun went through the trouble of saving Liu Chan, he hands the child to Liu Bei, who throws the child down. In some versions of the tale (or historically) Zhao Yun catches him, while in others Liu Chan hits the ground. "For this suckling I almost lost the life of a great general!" Liu Bei exclaimed, and he shared manly tears with Zhao Yun. I'm not sure if that's the exact quote from the novel, but Liu Bei didn't want to lose Zhao Yun over the sake of his child. And seeing how Liu Chan had a hand in Shu's downfall (regardless of his reasoning and the fact that he was being used by the eunuchs), lots of fans joke that this is the reason why Liu Chan is a little 'herp derp'. It's just a joke. I wouldn't take it too seriously. |

Yep that's exactly it. In some adaptions I've seen, Zhao Yun catches the baby before he hits the ground (probably to reduce the disturbance level some people may get from the event). If that part is in the game, they may do it that way. |

I don't see how it's disturbing... Personally I thought that was hilarious and may have been put in for two things. 1) Comedy 2) An excuse for why Liu Shan failed so much A person going by Xiahou Mao summed it up well. Zhuge Liang and his successors controled the Government and Shu flourished. Jiang Wei cared only for Glory in Battle and didn't dabble in Politics. Shu went spiralling down now that Liu Shan had no one to control him and Jiang Wei throwing away resourcesfor his war for Glory. Edited by SazukeEX, Tue Feb 22, 2011 3:41 am.

And this is exactly why I cannot stand Jiang Wei. He's just as much at fault for Shu's demise as Liu Chan, but because he had a rather epic death, people seem to forget that. I hope Koei at least brings this up, but seeing as their Shu bias, I doubt it. |

More like Jiang Wei betrayed Liu Shan. He admitted defeat and didn't want the people of Shu to suffer any longer. Jiang Wei would rather throw away lives before his pride. He was so resentful that he manufactured the events that lead to the death of Deng Ai and his son because they outwitted him time and again. |

oh so very true! Liu Bei was a wise man! i don't think that you guys will get your whole "EXPOSE JIANG WEI FOR WHAT HE REALLY IS/DID!!!" just because Koei really never shows the political side in the DW games. @QZW- i just bought both volumes for just under 50 dollars, including shipping. so anyone wanna guess who's seamless gameplay will be shown for Wu's PV? im thinking either Taishi Ci(favorite among Koei's staff) or Zhou Tai(first wu character to be revealed).i believe Sun Jian will be at the end of the PV due to the focus on early Wu,although Sun Quan is a nice pick as well.cant wait to see the EXs and Musous in the PV.

Of course not. Politics aren't in the picture in DW. Thus Jiang Wei will be glorified and those that disagreed with his wasteing of resources most likely wont ever get in a DW game. Koei wants to portray Shu as the Good Guys untill the very end. |

If it went all political, I think I would fall asleep along the way (watched some parts of the ROTK *series* that has like 50 episodes or something, can't remember) of 1-2 hour films of that era where there are all the epic moments in the war, and the extremely boring political talk moments. Wu PV, if it shows some Sun Ce i'll be happy enough, need to know how his attacks and musou works. I wonder if he will have an alt or air musou? Probably an alt, or maybe he could have an air where he bashed into the ground with his tonfa? (EXPLOSION!!!)

I don't think Koei simply wants to glorify the Shu guys as the good guys, I think they're just going by what Luo Guanzhong wrote in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms which is what the game is based off, and the epic does portrayed Shu-Han as the good guys. Now if you're wondering why Luo Guanzhong portray Cao Cao and Sun Quan as the "bad" guys is simply because Chinese view those two negatively because they were not loyal to the Han dynasty and wanted to establish their own hegemony. When Luo wrote his novel during the Yuan dynasty(a foreign mongol dynasty) which was hated by the Chinese people. He simply wanted to stir Chinese nationalism to drive out the mongols, so he used the trend of that time to portray the Shu-Han people because they were loyal to the Han as the "native Chinese" and Cao Wei as the treacherous "foreign invaders". Wu was somewhat left out in the dusk because people didn't really care or discussed much about the them. |
