In the first of the Wei PV Xhiou Dun pose looks different from his two CG artworks.

I really like the changing facial expressions on Dian Wei's face on him at the end of the PV.
It was nice indeed, thought I was the only one who noticed it. He looked too cool when he did that. I looked at the pv again and in that same scene he was about to swing at Xiahou Dun but they cut it short. I wonder why he was going to swing at Dun?

Iwake up and theres a new thread. I think the Wei P.vwas more exciting then the Jin.I'm going to say the jp voice is very good for zhang he, it gives a creepy feel. The Egn voice.....failed IMO.

Im glad to see no animal abuse from dun, lol. I feel that some of the movesets are similar to dw5,which i like. I'm digging the music too. Zhen Ji's flute is back!

I've just preordered my copy for the PS3 at Gamestop in which the girl at the counter told me it was a nice choice (I didn't think there was sarcasm in her voice when she said it, so either she's a fan or among the rare people who doesn't hate on the series).

During that, I got a look at the list of games that were coming out soon and I saw DW7 listed still with the 3/22 date but I also saw a 3/18th date with the (SD) marking next to it. I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean. At first I thought it was for a strategy guide, but I didn't see it listed on the website, so if anyone else who has an idea what it stands for, it would be great.

ChibiGingi might be able to answer that, since she works (worked?) at Gamestop. However, my guess would be Shipping Date. Could be totally wrong.

Thinking about it now, Shipping Date would make since since it would be on a Friday. And given that it'd probably take at least 1 business day (which excludes Sat/Sun), it would make sense.

@JfordF150 this is what it says on the info thread

Quote:

Weapon Skills
Each weapons will have a learnable skill (called ? mark in JP version)
As the player beat enemies with the weapon, the skill points needed to unlock the skill will increase
When the skill point gauge is full, the skill will be unlocked and available to equip on any weapons

Essentially each weapon has a skill called a seal like defence+ when you use the weapon in battle it will fill a gauge once its full the skill will be unlocked and then you can equip the skill to any weapon and each weapon will have a number of slots you can use to equip whatever skills you have already unlocked.

I'm guessing better weapons will have more slots and stronger seals like defence++ and defence+++ for example.

Theres more info on the official sites.

That girl is attracted to you :D

I'm loving these battle themes. Those remixes of the ouverture themes really turns out great.
And as a lot of people have been saying, the movesets of the characters look insanely awesome. I'm starting to like this game even more

Oh man I am even more excited after watching the Wei PV! Zhen Ji looked sooo amazing! she looked like her old self only better! I can only hope she has her own identity and remains a bad ass Female Warrior!

I am also so excited about Cao Pi getting his old weapon back, I cannot wait to play him!

And Zhang He makes me laugh and I mean that in the most awesome way! he is so pretty and yet so evil, I loved his animation while he was doing his musou, it really added to his character!

The animations look even smoother than they ever have in the game!

Anybody notice how nice all of their hands are? and also all of the generics have a variety of faces now!

Lol I just noticed that Guan Ping has the EXACT same sword as Xiahou Ba.

At least make them look different if you're gonna make them use the same weapon type >.>
I like Xiahou's sword, but another design would give me more to choose from :)

The Wei PV..... I liked it but i'm waiting for the Wu PV to be epic. So is there an actual reason that Koei didn't show all there faction or just coincidence?

Offtopic: anyone happen to know the age of Sun Jian when both Sun brothers were born. If not where could I find that.

Blaziruku, you know everyone will have a unique 4th weapon...So I'm sure that Guan Ping will have a unique sword entirely different from Xiahou Ba's 4th one.

Sun Ce was born around 175 A.D I believe while quan was born early 180's. Sun Jian was about 20 when had Ce and 27 when Quan was born. And I'm using the wikipedia.

BAck to topic: Zhang He, Zhang Liao and Zhen Ji came to mind with their musous. ZHang Liao's was particulary flashy and Zhang just being a freak like he is.

still worries me he starts out with the EXACT same sword :(

+ I think those are third weapons in screenshots, if they are first weapons, the second/third/fourth better damn well be some pretty epic looking weapons! :D

Well if it's unique, fine with me. If not. :(

Still looking forward to it, I just want a demo, so I can get a taste of all the awesome gameplay I see on the trailers. KOEI DEMOS ARE GOOD MARKETING TECHNIQUES!!

+ they had demos for every other game released this year/last

Japanese Version has better voices in my opinion, however, if you want DLC you need a Japanese PSN account.

Gonna buy a PS3 just for this.

Zhao Yun, Jiang Wei, etc started with the same spear in 3. Lu Bu, Zhang Liao, Guan Yu, etc start with the same weapon in 3. People only got more unique and non-shared gear at weapon lv3.

What I did was not the most wise thing but I played the US version but then I bought DW6 TB and played that one after I knew my way around and the stories but as Bng422 says is most likely correct.

I myself am hoping for the JP voices with subtitles as an option in the US version, if not I may do the same thing again with DW7...lol

Saw my name, not sure if already answered but SD means STREET DATE. Meaning that it will be available in stores on that date, and no later. We actually get them in early (the Friday before) but we legally shouldn't sell them until the next Tuesday.

Of course, some stores do break street dates, so if you want to have an employee risk getting canned you can harass them about it.

And no, I never, ever broke the street date. Never. Not even when someone threw money at me. I'm a *****.

But, BEHOLD, DW7 is street dated. Lucky us Americans!
