From what I remember Dynasty Warriors games have never been street dated. It is pretty cool only highly anticipated games get it. Plus for those of us who want to see footage of Japanese version gameplay to hold us over until the US/European Releases. We may get it sooner than March 9th in the US. From what I remember Hong Kong usually gets the game out sooner than Japan if i remember correctly :)

I've just preordered my copy for the PS3 at Gamestop in which the girl at the counter told me it was a nice choice (I didn't think there was sarcasm in her voice when she said it, so either she's a fan or among the rare people who doesn't hate on the series).

During that, I got a look at the list of games that were coming out soon and I saw DW7 listed still with the 3/22 date but I also saw a 3/18th date with the (SD) marking next to it. I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean. At first I thought it was for a strategy guide, but I didn't see it listed on the website, so if anyone else who has an idea what it stands for, it would be great.
ChibiGingi might be able to answer that, since she works (worked?) at Gamestop. However, my guess would be Shipping Date. Could be totally wrong.
Thinking about it now, Shipping Date would make since since it would be on a Friday. And given that it'd probably take at least 1 business day (which excludes Sat/Sun), it would make sense.
Saw my name, not sure if already answered but SD means STREET DATE. Meaning that it will be available in stores on that date, and no later. We actually get them in early (the Friday before) but we legally shouldn't sell them until the next Tuesday.

Of course, some stores do break street dates, so if you want to have an employee risk getting canned you can harass them about it.

And no, I never, ever broke the street date. Never. Not even when someone threw money at me. I'm a *****.

But, BEHOLD, DW7 is street dated. Lucky us Americans!
forget getting canned, the company can recall all of their games that they sold your store or the company for that matter..used to be a manager in a store called Game Crazy..until it went out of business  and yes I have broken street date when crackdown was released but luckily nothing happened

now regarding DW7 i'm very impressed with the Musou's this time around which after seeing Wei i'm even more impatient to see Wu's lol.

I remember Game Crazy... sorry?

But yeah, I had some kid trying to bribe me in selling them their Halo Reach early, and even when he handed me money, I told him "you're not worth losing my job over."

Ah, life in retail- I'll never miss it (got a new job, medical records in a clinic now. Now I got new problems and work at GS once a month, if I want to).

Back on topic, the Wei PV was pretty epic, but seriously why the long wait for Xu Huang? Stop teasin' me, Koei!

There was also no Cao Ren in there (that I noticed anyway). Strange since he was officially revealed so early in the marketing process.

Hmm i wonder, why they not put Xiahou Yuan and Cao Ren's moveset demo to the PV? i can understand Xu Zhu since he's just revealed yesterday, but as for Xiahou Yuan, and Cao Ren, why they not including it?

hmm, with the case like this probably some characters from Wu also will not be showed in the next PV, i hope my Fave character will have a part on it :)

awww Thank you very much really ^_^ the reason why i'm afraid is because Da and Xiao share same weapon and moveset, while there are 16 characters in Wu, and if the PV duration will be limited, i doubt Koei probably will only choose one from both sister, i hope if this happen Koei Choose Da instead (No offense to Xiao Fans because i like her too) although i hope All Wu characters moveset to be showed in the PV.. :D

as for Zhou Yu, i'm sure he will be amazing! ^_^

For the wu promo, I believe that the new characters Ding Feng and Lian Shi will make an appearance. ALong with the Sun family, and then finally i think Da Qiao will also show up. And finally Sun Jian making an appearance, or maybe sun quan.

You realise how little that makes sense?

For one Lian Shi and Da Qiao are part of Sun family in a way... Then you said finally Sun Jian or maybe Sun Quan will show, meaning the only "Sun Family" you are talking about is Sun Ce and Ssx... Plus there are alot more characters then 7...

If anything we will get..

Sun Ce
Da Qiao
Ssx
Ding feng
Lian Shi
Lu Xun
Lu Meng
Zhou Yu
Sun Quan
And
Zhao Tai.

Gan Ning maybe (If he gets his daggers), Taishi Ci if not Lu Xun and Ling Tong if they dont show Guan Suo in Shu which is highly doubtful.

Also Just Realised that Koei only reveal 8 characters moveset demo in Jin and Wei PV, and both of the PV duration is around 2:15 so maybe there's a possibility that they might also only reveal 8 characters moveset demo in Wu and Shu PV, unless they extend the duration..

Sorry if this would count as off topic but, has anyone found a website or store that has a guaranteed STREET DATE delivery? I'd like to be able to play this the day it comes out, not the next day. Usually when i get it from gamestop, the date listed is the ship date and they have it the next day. I just tried amazon and the option for street date delivery didn't pop up.

No, Ji actually means orchid in Chinese. I assume the original language was chosen to be Japanese in the translation. Xiao means small. 'Qiao' is the Chinese word used to associate with people who have the English name 'Joe'. Zhang is usually used as a prefix for 'open' in Chinese while Jiao usually refers to horn, angle or corner.

Probably should clarified as how the sun sibilings plus the qiaos and then the new characters and finally sun jian appearing at the end of the video if it follows the same format as the last videos.

But it wouldn't be Sun Jian, it would be Sun Quan methinks. Quan seems more likely as he's the actual ruler of Wu.

I hope to see how the moveset for the chakrams have changed. I really wanna see Shang Xiang's 5th charge attack make a comeback as that was my favourite attack from that weapon.

I really wanna see the qiaos too!!!!! Oh and Zhou Yu, Zhou Tai, Ding Feng and Lu Xun. :D

I hope there's a cutscene where Sun Ce is dying from his wounds and Da Qiao is by his side and they have a tender moment together. That would make any day for me (even though I would cry my eyes out)

The best Wei musuos IMO are Jia Xu, Zhang He, Zhang Liao, and Zhen Ji.

In the Wu PV I expect to see the two new characters Ding Feng and Lian Shi. I also think one of the Qiaos, SSX, Sun Ce, Taishi Ci, Zhou Tai, and either Sun Quan or Sun Jian. I think Jian's gameplay will be shown while Sun Quan will deliver the speech at the end. I don't think Lu Meng will be in because Guan Yu will probably show the pike moveset. And no Lu Xun because Cao Pi has been shown. And finally no Ling Tong because Guan Suo will be shown. Just my thoughts though.

^this^ agree with your whole comment.. :D

If Wu's PV will only consist 8 characters moveset demo and the duration will be same like previous PVs, here's my wishlist:

-Zhou Yu
-Sun Shang Xiang
-Sun Ce
-Lu Meng
-Ding Feng
-Lian Shi
-Da Qiao
-Xiao Qiao

just wish they extend the duration so all characters will be in.. coz i want Zhou Tai, Sun Quan and Lu Xun to be showed too,, :D

I work in Currys (UK) and we have street dates too. Kind of awkward when we have the game piled up out back and people are begging for it haha! We don't seem to have DW7 listed anywhere though - Currys only seems to get uber popular games in on release. I've pre-ordered from Amazon regardless...

And the guesses over the Wu characters in the PV look spot on.
