Personally, I like how Fist of the North Star flowed gameplay wise. Although Legend of Troy felt realistic, it lacked flashyness and that's definitely needed to want people to buy it. Even though I liked FotNS's gameplay, LoT outweighs it in the storyline and the extra gameplay modes. I REALLY liked how all the death scences were put together it. It definitely made it feel like a movie seeing as how Archilles went down XD Overall, I think having the extra modes gave LoT the only advantage over FotNS. Which do you guys prefer? Please specify why as well.

If Legends of Troy had Dream Mode from FOTNS and a deeper character building system I think it would have been the perfect game. I do think Troy is better though mostly because I like middle earth more than anime. I thought North Star had a boring story mode, what saved it was the Dream Mode and deep character building. For Koei Canada's first Warriors game, they really did a great job. I have never felt so immersed in a Warriors game until Troy. Sad they weren't marketed and will probably not get the chance to make another. Edited by AlphaVVolf, Sat Mar 26, 2011 1:15 am.

Good points! But comparing the death scenes between the two, Troy wins by a long shot. I felt those killing blows, especially Archilles; it was epic!!! Penthesilea calling out to Hippoyte (or whatever ) , that was really heart wrenching and beautiful!! It's the saddest death the ever have to face, dying for atonement. Toki's Dream Mode was also on of the best pre-death stories. I mean like, how wonderful it is to get to fulfill your desires, only to be brought back to the scary reality of inescapable death? It's so wonderful! I think we can hope for Troy to have a late bloom, but it probably still won't sell enough. |
