From what I've seen in the discussions there, the building that got vandalized is where the servers for Koei's online games are placed. Due to the recent disasters there was power shortage in Tokyo, so they had been stopping the online game services since then. One of the most possible theories is that probably it didn't go well with the 'net-game fanatics' (ネトゲ廃人) because... well you know why.

But if that's the case, I guess it'd be a bit ironic as Gamecity announced today that they have just started the online games again...

If your looking for a list of possible suspects then I'm pretty sure this should cover it.

Though in all seriousness, it is quite a low thing to do, especially if it is for the reasons that BlackKite stated. Some people just get all worked up over nothing I guess.

If Koei's donation to the Sendai Quake relief isn't enough to not be a greedy publisher that just milk the Warriors franchise.

Not everyone is happy about DW 7 getting 9/9/9/9 on Famitsu review. Haterz going to love this for laughs.

(Why can't Koei stop paying attention to the Japanese fans and focus suggestions from Western fans so they won't embarrass themselves of their produce as trash)

Maybe it's the Pang De fans. Wouldn't blame them.

It'll be okay. Nothing a little white paint won't fix.

White paint and tax dollars. Precious precious tax dollars. The problem with grafiti is that you have to pay city workers to paint over it which is a huge drain on funds.

Well, think of it this way. It's giving people something to do, and providing them the necessary income they need to survive. Not sure how the Japanese economy is fairing against the rest of the world, but I'm sure no one would turn down a job.

No matter what their "reasoning" is, they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. There is no excuse for such behaviour. The workers there must feel disheartened by this :(

That's really demoralizing but I lol'd at the fact that they're acting like obsessed WoW scrubs. No offense to those who play WoW, just the extremists who act immature...

Well first of all, what an immature and daft thing to do. :meantongue:
Second, I wouldn't let this deter you from buying the game SilentNinja, since the building houses the online sever, could be a bunch of uber-p**sed online users.

What surprised me most was the "divine retribution" expression, it looks like something that a fanatic or drunk would write. A quite angry or disappointed fanatic or drunk, I would say (or maybe just a bored person).

I think I will just put this in the catagory: Nerdrage over online services being cut. That is, if this building is indeed where the online servers are located like several people claimed.

If not, I guess they didn't like Ma Dai and wanted to prove what a real painter could do. :)
