Hey guys, Ok in the previous versions of DW, at the moment you get hit and thrown off your feet, you could Press L1 and you would somersault (upright your character) back to ur feet before you even land flat on the ground right? In DW7 I seem to be unable to somersault and would always land flat on the ground after getting launched by the enemy. Spamming L1 didnt work too. Whats wrong eh? Am I doing it wrong? You guys have the same thingy? Edited by Elephantbean, Wed Mar 30, 2011 12:02 pm.

L1 always works for me for somersault/recovery after getting thrown off feet. I think you have to hit the ground once before it works or right before hitting the ground. I dunno, I don't pay attention when I use it. It's like a natural reflex and always works for me. Maybe there is some timing involved, but it's not hard to feel when to press L1. And mashing does increase chances as long as you start pressing it when you should. |

You're right I think. I always thought you had to hit L1 (or Left Bumper) the moment you hit the ground. |

That is a good tip. Maybe they gave up mashing too early before they hit the ground. Hit that L1 like crazy! maybe it is a combination of timing and mashing.

Hmmm, thats wat i noticed.. hitting the ground once b4 I could flip back up. I also noticed that If I got thrown up high enough in the air, I could somersault whilst high in the air. For a normal height "knocked off balance", I couldn't flip no matter how much i spammed L1.. still had to hit the ground once.. |

I've actually for the first time gotten into a habit of refraining from mashing L1 for quick recovery :(, I learned this lesson hard when I kept quick recovering mid air into archers juggling me all day LOL. I just took my fall like a man and laid there for a bit to get up. |

I do it from any knockback, hitting the ground or not.. If you have airjump cancelling you can air jump cancel the recover. |

It's hard to explain the timing, mainly because it's a natural thing for me as I'm been playing 'Warriors games since 2000, so I have over a decade of experience in doing that. LOL |
