I've just been reading everything that SW3E will have and I have to say, I'm a bit excited. I shouldn't be, because chances are I'll never be able to play it.

How long typically after a game like this is announced will be find out about an overseas release, or more realistically, the lack of one? I don't want to get myself hyped for this for months just to find out what I already knew all along.

I think we'll get this game overseas. I mean, that would explain why Koei didn't release XL/Z. Save that time and effort to release Empires over here instead.

The only way I'd buy this if it came overseas is if it included everything from SW3Z as well. But, I don't really see this coming over at all, if we couldn't even get the original on PS3, why would they localize this?

1. "everthing" on XL will not be included because the stories for Gracia, Aya and Masanori will not be in it.

2. They gave us A version of Sw3 and the sales fell, they didnt want to take the risk in porting it however Empires will have have the same sales plus more if its a ps3 or Xbox port because it will be new to the fans who buy the games.. anything is possible with Koei.

3.Xbox 360 my friends... We got an xbox 360 port Japan didnt even get... So as i said, anything is possible with new titles :XD .

I figure if it's being released in the west we'll hear about it in right about two months, if not then it'll be four or five months of folks pestering Chin until we find out it's definitely not getting a western release

well i'm not getting my hopes up for empires and i will not be surprised if this does not make it overseas. imo koei screwed up when they decided to put it on the wii first (I think that koei gave nintendo exclusive rights for america.......meh whatever).

In any case, the dw series is more popular than the sw series overseas so the lack of the 3rd SW series for PS3 in america is not suprising.

Murasame Castle won't be appearing for sure on the PS3 version because it is Nintendo's IP. Although I have my doubts even the Wii version will receive Murasame Castle due to this being an empires game.

Murasame Castle was annoying. The only reason to play it was to get the extra model pieces for your CaW.

seems there will be no new cutscene except the 3d conversations
Where do you get that from?

Personally hoping that the CAW system doesn't suck horribly like usual.

I want Musashi/Kojiro to be added, maybe DLC. And dont give me that bull that they didn't contribute to battles/history, neither did Okuni. Theatre is nothing new, Greeks did it centuries before :p

So if a Koei game that's NOT DW is announced, it's an automatic assumption that it's not guaranteed a Western release due to popularity? Then what do you call Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3?

DLC characters isn't out of the question, nor is entirely new characters. But with the initial announcement of "40 characters", I'm not holding out my breath.

Pretty laughable also that in that voting list I posted pages back, Musashi and Kojiro got a low amount of votes.

Why is everyone so desperate for Kojiro and Musashi? I honestly don't see the big deal behind them (gets ready to be pelted).

Apart from their pretty good movesets, there's just that sort of annoyance that comes whenever Koei introduces new playable characters, then cans and removes from the game afterward. I guess people question why they go out of the way to hype them up then just scrap them. Even if it's a useless character like Goemon or in DW's case a controversial character like Bao Sanniang, there will always be the detractors who don't wish them to be removed since they went through the trouble of making them from scratch.

Yeah, too bad it might be wasted on a game that won't get localized.

Everything I've read thus far is nice, but I refuse to get excited. Until I see confirmation of Koei's intentions on localizing this, consider me the Negative Nancy of this thread.

Wii is not a mistake in its own ways its just as good (Mostly cause most people care too much about Graphics and Frame rate) in its own way. I would not sell the Wii inless I was forced to. Also some people are stuck with the Wii too and can't always sell it for the money for a new Consul and game.

Also from where I am in America it was popular as hell for the Wii. It was flying off and I got the last copy in the store. Now I am not saying it was the best of sells. But I am saying we deserve it overseas and us Wii users deserve it just as much as other Consul users.

Also the more I see about it the more it makes me drool for it. Who in America wants to raid Koei if they don't give us what we deserve? lol (Not a real threat don't worry) :)

I`m not fan of Musashi, but his story was the best in SW2. I believe that he has potential to make something more interesting than only rivalry with Kojiro. Why Koei decided excluded them? I don`t understand this... hope Goemon will back with them too (though never like him much).

Damn some of you are so pessimistic, not saying that its a bad thing, but at least have little faith. I mean I have my doubts too, but I'm thinking the worst would be it gets released overseas, but only for the ps3 which is still kinda positive.

Anyway I can't control you guys way of thinking, so yeah.

I had faith when it came to a PS3/360 overseas SW3 release. See where that got me.

My faith is gone.
