Well they've likely not releasing it overseas for a reason, so we're already asking a bit much of them. I don't think it would be wise to keep making demands of them.

Business is all about supply and demand. If you lose Demand than you lose Business but if you have Demand like KOEI does but don't make the supply than you lose alot of Business too. So if KOEI wants to thrive in the future and in the long term than they should release the games oversea's otherwise they will lose lots of Business and Profit in the future and long term. That they have to see hopefully not the hard way for anybody.

me #208 :2up: :ot:

i hope there are cutscenes with your CAW either ruling or serving. it would be nice to add something to a CAW other than voice and model, acting! is he/she amibitous, jealous, easygoing, seroius, loyal, devious, or comical. add some life to the heroes you create.

I would like to see the caws have a little more personality based on the choices you make. You can make selfless ot selfish, you can spare a retainer or execute him, you can donate money or have exorbitant taxes etc.

Besides, I only want this game and not the sw3xl or Z for the ps3.

I think the 10 clans will be the following. All of these have at least 2 playable characters.

Oda, Toyotomi, Tokugawa, Takeda, Uesugi, Hojo, Imagawa, Azai, Date and Tachibana.

Western army is part of Toyotomi and Eastern army part of Tokugawa.

I agree with your list Fuuma except for Imagawa. I think that will be shoehorned into the Tokugawa for like their first stage. In which case, that leaves that spot open for Mori whee. Well, Mori or Chosokabe, since either one would fulfill the location(Chugoku+Shikoku region.)

I wonder how Clan Mode will work out anyway. Will there be any Empires elements present in the game? Will they be the "special stages" to the nth power? By "special stages" I mean those stages that actually happened depending on which time scenario you chose and whatnot.

Or will they be something in a more traditional sense?

Yeah its a litle confusing, seems like all the special stages will present at story mode so probably we will play all the special stages of SW3 with the characters that they present example in the battle of Anegawa with Asakura side you will be able to play with Nagamasa, oichi, and all the generics who was with Asakura side not the character you want to play. and SW3Z in story mode, if this is how story mode will be maybe we will have an increase to the officers that you can take on the battle (from 6 that SW2E had) to 8-10 officers in SW3E.

Who knows in Empires mode you will play the SW3 stages and it might have the special stages but with the character you want to play.

I would really like it to get overseas since Imagawa is in it. I always wanted to play with yoshimoto in an empires game lol.

Also I would really like in the game is for Shikoku to return as an actual stage and at least dive it with a region campaign.

It is especially important that they add more maps. If there is a Story Mode by clan and we have the same number of maps as Samurai Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends/Z, we could often see the same maps. (Maybe not as much as in Samurai Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends/Z, yes. But new maps would be appreciated).

So was there anything else announced besides the game. Don't feel like reading through 20+ pages.

Nothing since the announcement, so it sounds like it's Famitsu waiting season again. That and main site updates.

I don't really mind stage and battle recycling as long as the levels for each clan are different. One of the reasons why I like SW3's stages for characters, not all of them are the same. Hanbei's Nagashino is radically different from Mitsuhide's or Kanbei's Nagashino, and vice-versa.

Yea but in Samurai Warriors 3 Empire's I would not want anymore Objectives other than take down the enemy and don't lose all your guys. :)

Oh gee, what factions would there be for the "story" mode?

Oda, Toyotomi/Western Army, Tokugawa/Eastern Army, Takeda/Sanada, Uesugi, Hojo, Mori (with added Okuni and Tachibanas), Chosokabe (plus Mitsuhide and Gracia)... Uh... Maybe make Western and Eastern armies separate factions from Toyotomi and Tokugawa?

I'll wager five whole internets that the "story mode" of SW3E just has what battles you can and cannot affect the outcome of slightly more limited and with some cutscenes.

Think of it like that one sub-mode of SW2E which forced the player to initially only be able to battle within a certain region until they conquered the whole region.

The standard Empire mode I can see that happening. You know, with the directional pad allowing you to command battle and all that stuff.

Clan Mode on the other hand I'm expecting something a bit more traditional. Especially since this one will be "dramatic", so I'm expecting cutscenes galore.

In that regard it might be similar to DW7's Kingdom Mode, which may or may not be a good thing, since this means that there might be character locking for stages.

All sounds like good possibilities lets get the games oversea's and see who is right.

Ugh and the more new Articals that come out make me drool for it even more and will make it a even bigger risk for KOEI if they don't release it oversea's. I'm not making threats but it will make other fans more unhappy and from what I see this is a game people will not want Imported. So don't expect some extra change from people Importing this game KOEI. You want alot more profit you know where it needs to go and that the Wii needs it too. :)

The amount of stuff that we've seen so far shouldn't really be a problem for the Wii to handle, just make it dual layered.

The unlikelihood for a Wii version mostly stems from how bad the original SW3 did on it, even though Koei was at least generous enough to make an XL.

I'm hoping Koei will throw the people who actually stuck around with Wii SW3 a bone again. Heck, unlike XL, Empires doesn't have any MEEEEXUJOI to do, it's just a separate disc that requires just character data.
The original SW3 was already double layer
It was 7.9 GB.

Huh then Samurai Warriors 3 Empire's shouldn't be too much to do for Wii since it would just be the same thing just different. Like instead of Story mode/Masue mode their be clan mode. Then if anything like past Empire's to a degree it like the board game Risk. Then like Free mode their the "Custom Empire mode" Where you make your custom army/clan and fight. Plus it wouldn't have that Demons and castle mode so that would leave alot of extra room to make it. Also if it helped they could make it where their is no Wi-Fi Multiplayer. I wouldn't care about that. So yea would just need the Characters, Clan/Empire mode, and Custom Empire mode. Which would leave plenty of room for the new things in Samurai Warriors 3 Empire's. If it weren't for the bunch of new things in this Empire's game it would just be almost like XL only with more stuff to do. So at that rate to me sounds simple and possible enough for us stuck with the Wii. :)

Yeah, but I'm saying that just make this one dual layered as well if people are worried that there might be too much stuff on the disc.

With this "dramatic" angle being advertised, we can expect a lot of cutscenes, either a la DW7's in-battle cutscenes or FMV. And FMV is always the thing that takes up the most disc space.

Yea but I'm sure they could make it 50% the game it self and 50% cutscenes or even better 60% the game itself and 40% cutscenes either way I'm sure they could work it out and it turn out better than the standard SW3 for Wii. :)

Another reason why SW3 should have been released overseas (360  )

I didn't think 7.9 GB was that much. (For a game)
