Doesn't matter why you think they're one of the best, it can be anything from the design of the boss to the music played in the fight to whatever. Just name some you think are exceptionally good ![]() Use spoiler tags as needed please, not everyone has cleared these bosses before/yet so please don't ruin it for them. Devil May Cry 4, two examples. Sonic Adventure 2, two examples. Fallout 3 Devil May Cry 2 Soulcalibur III The Darkness Devil May Cry 3 Coulda sworn I had more. Oh well. |

DMC3 : Vergil The fights were E-P-I-C ! Fact paced and really challanging.. makes it hard to close your eyes for a second. it's like playing with another good DMC player DMC4 : Dante That one was amazing as hell! Specially in the higher difficulties, makes it really challanging and fun. DMC3 : Nevan For some reason I liked fighting her lol Worst one would be DMC4 , stage 11 boss.. he's the old man who controls The Savior later on, forgot his name D: ====== MGS3 : Every single boss was epic Tenchu 3 : Onikage and Gandai, I think that was his name. Tatsumaru was good too, I think every single boss fight in Tenchu is great. Tenchu 4 had an epic last boss too.. Onimusha: Many of them were fun to fight with.. To name a few, Sakon Shima from DoD and Oda Nobunaga from 2. Alot more, I'll be back later. Lovely thread btw. |

God of War III Every single boss fight in that game is an epic battle. Killzone 2 Radec, the most epic boss gun fight in FPS genre for me, especially when playing on harder difficulty. |

Theres just way to many bosses to choose form. WE got the ones that are previously mentioned. Some of my favorites were the bosses from no more heroes 1 and 2. We got good music and some very epic and one VERY LONG bossfight against Sir Henry Motherf**ker but then theres the annoying against Jasper in 2.(Screw his second phase to hell) and along some many others. The god of war series all have great fights. MGS 3 of course. There was also the first fable. Just so many to choose from. |

Rogue Galaxy final boss, the music is amazing and you have to use all 8 characters separately against different parts of it, makes it more of a challenge and awesomely epic xD |

Mass Effect 2 - The Shadow Broker Not particularly hard, but I felt the cinematic touches and the teamwork with Liara was great, plus the music and mood is fantastic. Shadow of the Colossus - The Big Flying One I can't remember which number it is, but the moment you see it burst out of the sand and realise how gigantic it is blew me away the first time I played the game. Golden Sun - Saturos The first time you fight Saturos, and the only time you fight him alone. The music was brilliant for a GBA game, and it was the first really important boss in the game. Vanquish - Last Boss The game's most fast paced battle, and the last. It just screams 'epic', and makes for some really tense moments of concentration. MGS3 - The End This probably ranks in the best boss fights on a lot of people's lists and for good reason! An all out camping session with an old man who's usually in a wheel chair. The whole thing is stupidly tense, and completely original in terms of video games. I've never seen a boss fight anything like The End. |

All RE4 bosses were fun to fight, but that bearded village leader sticks to mind. Fighting him was intense, he moves fast and it was such a narrow house to fight inside. Blood Will Tell, and Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks had a few good boss battles as well. Dead Space 2 had an original final boss battle I think. inFAMOUS 2, last boss in the evil side, now THAT was fun. |

Got quite a few but limited time. Yami, from Okami Every stage of it was pretty epic, and I had to wipe away tears during the halfway mark of the fight. Reset- Thank You version is a great song and fit the mood perfectly. Count Waltz and Monster Legato, from Eternal Sonata, PS3 vers Fast hitting psycho AND a giant, death spewing dragon? Challenge accepted. In the end, they were no match for my team of Falsetto, Jazz and Viola. I found this fight both harder and more thrilling, thanks to the song Broken Balance playing in the BG than the final boss fight. Which I won't spoil. The Boss, from Metal Gear Solid 3 Seems a lot of people here liked the boss fights in MGS3, and with good reason. But if I had to chose one, it'd be the Boss... just freakin' tragic as hell, a fight that you don't want to have to participate in and made even more tragic AFTER the fight. ****, second time in a game I bust out crying. The Boss is downright epic. That entire GAME was epic. Revolver Same as The Boss. This fight tore at me, because in all honesty, Ocelot is my favorite character in the entire series, and his reasons, to me, felt justified... then again, that kicker at the very end of the game where everything is revealed to you... only made me love Ocelot all the more. Too bad the series is over, as far as I'm concerned, but I'll give Metal Gear Rising a chance, at least. |

Feral/Desperado Chaos from Dissidia Duodecim Probably one of the more screwed up boss fights i've seen. The game allows you to fight this monster with 5 characters of your choice. It was a tough fight but I discovered that Garland was great at dealing with this boss. Night Terror from Soul Calibur III Night Terror was the secret final boss of Soul Calibur III that could only be fought under certain conditions in story mode. I played this game when I was younger and before I went online to find any unknown content that I was unaware of. That being said, I ran into Night Terror completely by accident. The entire fight was one big "OMG!!" moment for me. Albert Wesker Hangar Fight from Resident Evil 5 This was the 2nd Wesker fight in Resident Evil 5. It was one of the parts of Resident Evil 5 that really stood out for me. Most of the other boss fights in Resident Evil 5 were boring and simply bothersome. This Wesker fight though was pretty good. I especially loved the boss theme for that fight as well. An assortment of Resident Evil 4 boss battles With the exception of one or two boss fights, most of the boss battles in Resident Evil 4 were great. |

Can any one say Dark Souls? Like pretty much all the bosses in this game is a pain especially dragons. Spider Man Edge of Time: Anti Venom definately a very cool battle. Zelda Twilight Princess: Link vs. Ganadorf. God of war 3: Posidon battle though it was pretty easy this battle was probably the best visual and most cool epic battle in that game. |

Luca Blight from Suikoden II immediately comes to mind. It takes not one, but three six-member parties to defeat this boss: http://youtu.be/mpXw0TtUBy8 I can't forget the battle against Neclord the vampire, and Viktor's infamous spiel prior to the battle: http://youtu.be/ADh6wFCVMYY Edited by Teahouse, Thu Mar 22, 2012 8:46 am.

Most boss fights for me are hardly rememberable but Psycho Mantis on Metal Gear solid was something else. For the life of me i couldnt figure out what the hell i was supposed to do - never before had i needed to plug the controller into the second player port to confuse the mind reader.... genuis. |

), you've got to put down a god. The platforming parts requiring you to evade it's near-unstoppable attacks only add to it: it's a frickin' god trying to kill you by punching or destructo-beaming you and it's a good twenty times your size. Throughout the battle, you're required to hack at it's dozen or so weakpoints all over it's body and just simply kicking it's ass expertly isn't enough---you're required to beat on some of it's lowly peons to get an S rank on it.
You're charging through newly-Enclave-controll parts of DC alongside the ultra-hammy, near-invincible, nuclear-armed Liberty Prime and the elite Brotherhood of Steel unit, Lyons Pride. Just being in the middle of that spectacle is wonderful, but it's even better if you've got a high-level character and you attempt to outpace them. Having to wait on the tin can to tear down a forcefield is...tolerable
), it's pretty sweet. The final moments when you reach Paulie are also noteworthy, I won't spoil those
