So.. Yeah. I'm finishing the game for the second time. But the problem is, Cao Cao has half of China. While I have the other half. He has about 600,000 forces. I got 1,200,000. Our strategists are ; Cao Cao - Lu Xun (Awkward, I know o.O) Me (Zhang Lu) - Zhou Yu w/100 Intel.. I also have 100 + officers while Cao Cao has about 90. I'm transporting all of my officers from the previous battles (From Sun Jian, Liu Zhang, Etc). Also, I have a HUGE problem. Most of my officers are dying due to age. They're mostly about 50 years old ++ Although I have a few young officers. What should I do next? :s |

So the problem is simply old officers? Well.. I'd employ younger officers, try to work with your young ones, get some from Cao Cao, search around in cities, and execute any Cao prisoner you can't employ. |

Can't really employ his officers because most of his young ones are loyal. His old officers.. Not so loyal. I took about 5 officers from him, but it turns out only one out of five was around 20. the others are 40+.. Suggestions? I searched around every city I have, no luck, aswell. |

Cao Cao should die soon if people are really dying, when a new successor is appointed, his officers should have low loyalty. + Search and try to survive with less talented officers for the time being. You can always use diplomacy to buy time. |

So yeah.. In a few hours, Cao Cao died. Now Cao Pi is the ruler.. And officer loyalty is diminishing. I have about 96 old officers and 11 young ones left.. Time seems to be running out. Even if I used diplomacy.. S; |

Capture his cities systematically in a way that you don't have to defend your rear city when you march out to conquer another one. That way, you can place about 1-3 useless officers to guard and admin that city. While you capture, make use of Capture skill so that everyone in an enemy city (without horse item or providence/escape route/or something) will be captured and made prisoners. You can recruit them later when their loyalties drop every month. Enemy AI has a strange habit of pumping officers into a sieged city as reinforcements even though the city's number of soldiers is thin. Make use of that. Loyal officers (like Xiahou Dun) won't follow you, but it might change after Cao Cao passes on. Since they have no affinity to the new ruler, they might change allegiance. Those with sworn brothers/sisters and wife/husband will NEVER follow you if their clan/force is not totally destroyed. Since Wei is your last enemy force, you can kill them. Their offsprings will then randomly show up in the map so you might be able to recruit him/her if you're lucky. Conquer fast and bulldoze your way into enemy territory while your civil officers deal with city development. Plan your supply well before you march out. It shouldn't be much problem if you have over 100 officers. I can march out and conquer 3 cities continuously before settling in the 3rd city. Skill and unit type selection are the most important part. Edited by Saint, Tue Mar 27, 2012 5:50 am.
