This will be where we can think of new ideas for the next SW game. One idea that I have would be to have some battles from the eraly Sengoku Era. |

You mean like focusing on the wars that occurred while Nobunga was still young? |

Yeah or battles when Shigen was younger. But I would like to see the battles fight drunig the latter part of the Oinoin War that part the whole land in to civil war. |

I just have one big concern, KOEI. Don't neglect Chugoku & Shikoku. You're falling behind Capcom, who already added Chousokabe Motochika & Mouri Motonari in their Sengoku BASARA. Come on, add any battles and generals & daimyos from those two regions, and not just some dancer or ronin that just were born there *coughokunimusashicough* Anyway, although I wish for the entire Sengoku period to be included, wasn't the Onin War too early for many characters? I guess the best time to start the timeline was during the glory days of Imagawa Yoshimoto & Mouri Motonari, as well as Takeda Shingen & Uesugi Kenshin's rise to power (1540s).

I think Koei should make a seperate game for the onion war. It would be fun although Koei would probably have to include a warning for the game that playing it might make people cry. :'( |

The onion war will have the Clover-da and the Tokuonions fight for Niponion's future. ;-; But srsly. Motonari, Motochika, and give us more characters who are actually worth something. And if you're gonna give us special moves, dont make a half ass job of it. 3/4 of them are pointless. |

Koei should make a Samurai game with real people/characters but with a story that's fiction.Same with Dynasty Warriors. |

Am I the only one who doesn't think that Koei needs to add the western daimyo that Capcom implemented? Now, granted, all those leaders are very cool and definitely characters that I admire (Motonari especially) but I just don't think Koei needs to copy Capcom 100% and if they want to they can even focus the game on Central and Northern Honshu and get away with it. |

Well, the reason I urged KOEI is that during a Famitsu interview, the developers had promised that the new characters will come from all over Japan. So I thought there would be new characters coming from all the Kyushu, Shikoku & Chugoku regions. But what? Only Yoshihiro and Ginchiyo? Those two are from Kyushu only.. where are our Chugoku-Shikoku heroes? I'm waiting for you to fulfill your promise, KOEI... <_< |

But Koei only said that they would give new characters from all over Japan, not new ones that rule over different parts of Japan. As you said, Musashi and Okuni come from Chugoku and Sasaki comes from Kyushu. Therefore Koei is only missing somebody from Shikoku and somebody from Hokkaido (here there only be dragons anyways :/). |

Hmm.. yeah right. Hokkaido.. or Ezo before the Meiji restoration.. Well, Capcom created a fictional Itsuki for the Hokkaido representative, so perhaps for a historical one.. Aha, the Matsumae clan. http://www.samurai-archives.com/dictionary/m1.html Oh, and Okuni was born in Izumo, a province in Chugoku, hence Izumo no Okuni.. |

Actually to be honest I always thought that Koei just added Shimazu Yoshihiro to the game to make a force that was like the Nanman of DW. Kyushu looks kind of tropical from what I've seen. If they really wanted to add a good 'SW Nanman' though, it sounds like the Matsumae would be perfect. >:) |

Here's your proof and future reference. http://www.samurai-archives.com/map.html Izumo is #47, and #47 is obviously located in Chugoku. |

I posted this in another board, but I think it's more suitable here- They need to make a special expansion pack for SW2, just to prove that they're willing to make huge changes to their game if necessary. The expansion pack should not only have grand alterations, new modes and old ones (note the plural...) and new characters, but should even have a new name. I think it should be called Samurai Warriors II-War Heroes of the West, and have all the great Western daimyo and samurai. I want to see, besides the characters already in the game, Shimazu Yoshihisa (arguably the greatest leader of the Shimazu), Ryuzoji Takanobu (the bear of Northern Kyushu, with full on fur-covered armour and bear head as a cap like Meng Huo in Kessen II), Omura Sumitada (as a badass Catholic crusader), Chousokabe Motochika, Mouri Motonari and some Mouri general such as Ekei Ankokouji, Kobayakawa Hideaki (or his father Takakage) or Mouri Terumoto. Some special NPCs would be nice too. I'm thinking Shimazu Iehisa, Tachibana Muneshige, some male or female special NPC for the Chousokabe and Kikkawa should all be new special non-playable charactrs. A bonus character would be Matsumae Yoshihiro, though he would not be playable in musou mode. With the addition of new characters such as these, there could also be a good Empires mode included IN the first expansion. Plus you could expect to see new battles like Okita Nawate, Hetsugigawa, Battle of Otsu and Defense of Tosa Province. >:) |

Well hmmm... might work but they should even out new character distribution. Well if Empire like is what most ppl want then I think it should be done, and not XL. On the PS3 they should make it in one game, Musou, Free Mode, and Empire mode all in one game. |

I agree that Samurai Warriors 2: XL should come with an Empires Mode, but that is part of the reason why I feel the SW expansion pack should focus on the samurai of the West (and should have one new character from Hokkaido); because if they didn't then there wouldn't be enough interesting forces on the one part of Japan in an Empires scenario where you could play any warlord from the time. Granted there would still be generic forces like the Miyoshi on the map but at least the important guys would all be in the game, including the Mouri, Chousokabe and Ryuzoji (by the way, Capcom has yet to add Takanobu, which makes him an even better character for Koei to add). |
