Hey, me and a buddy used to play these games co-op split screen in the PS2 days, but we only play games mostly online now, the series FINALLY has an online feature that we have been waiting for so we can play co-op again!
(Samurai warriors 3 doesn't count because the Wii isn't a real console :P And Strikeforce was a steaming pile of ****.)

I read some rumors though that the multiplayer co-op isn't as simple as it seems. In this game is it possible to both start playing through the story from the beginning of the game online together? Or will we be forced to complete all the stages separately and then only REPLAY them in co-op?

Also I checked around before making this post and people only seem to be posting their PSN ID's only and not gamertags, are there any differences between PS3 and 360 versions of the game regarding multiplayer? We both have both consoles so it isn't a problem, which would be a better version to get?

Hey, next time please try to ask this in either the help topic, the main topic, or even the online play topic. It really doesn't need its own, especially since this has all been answered before.

Unfortunately no, you can't play the entire game from start to finish on co-op. You MUST both complete stages before you can play them in co-op. The game won't let one party join a stage they haven't completed. You'll just get an error if you try.

The reason people have been posting their PSN IDs is because the game's been out for a week on the PS3. XBox users should just be getting their copies today or in the next couple of days. You're welcome to post your gamertag and hopefully as more people on the XBox get the game, more people will be able to play with you.

Also try not to start a console war, please.

Well that sucks D: Dammit. And I wasn't trying to start a console war, it was a genuine question about whether the different versions contained separate features or not, not about which console was better than the other.

Thanks for your reply.

Well by console war, I meant the comment about the Wii, no matter how much of a joke it was meant to be :XD Some people are sensitive about that.

Anyway, since it's been answered, Imma close it now!
