^ This Really I never thought I'd see the day. Maybe Koei started paying IGN like other companies? Anyways this game deserved an 8.5 and I'm glad that finally a Warriors game got a decent rating. |

First DW: Next. now WO3? ROFL IGN is so werid but thanks! XDDDDD To me, IGN likes to see more creativity and new things when it comes to a game. And well, WO3 has a lot of changes, new stages and music, new moves and characters. Not enough? Give'em something to create with the Musou Battlefield!

I just read the review and I'm still reeling from the shock. I suppose I can understand where IGN is coming from, though. Though free mode was indeed a bit of an unnecessary addition, the two main modes (story mode and musou battlefield mode) are completely packed with content. Apparently, all IGN was looking for over the years was a Warriors game with enough to do in it. Also, BOOGIE DOWN!  But in a dignified manner, naturally.

It's a great game, and I think 8.5 is being realistic. But I still put WO2 over it(Id give this a 10).

I haven't played WO3 yet, I enjoyed WO2 but based on WO3 offers, it's hard to believe it would receive 2 less points than WO2 from fans. |

Whoa, won't miracles ever cease? I didn't expect that site to rate this game with such a high score. Then again, the reviewer's probably a fan of the genre which kind of helps in exposing the better parts of WO3. The review itself was concise yet informative enough for those who may want to purchase the game. I hope the same writer is given the chance to review another Warriors title in the near future. |

I wonder how much KOEI paid IGN for them to manufacture these good reviews. It's about time they did something to help market their games in America. Paying off a game website is a step in the right direction. |

I have been talking with the reviewer Chris Schilling (@schillingc) on twitter, and he's not a hardcore fan but he likes the Warriors franchise and thinks it's a great idea. A Few Tweets: Me: @schillingc Great review for Warriors Orochi 3! Finally someone is making Justice with the Warriors Franchise! YOU ROCK! Chris: @MatheusOda Thanks! I think it's probably the most misunderstood franchise in gaming. Games don't become cult hits if they're no good. Me: @schillingc Indeed! I have been playing the Warriors games for a long time and you're reviews are bringing glory (lol) to the franchise name in the west. Are you a fan, perhaps? The one who also reviewed DW: Next! You know, I like that reviewer guy. Whenever it comes to games, he always make sure to "look before he leaps". He may not be much of a fan, but playing it sure does give the hidden impressions.  The one who reviewed DW7 at IGN was considered the worst reviewer in the whole IGN website. (Sorry if off-topic). But at least we got someone here who not only knows the most-obvious popular game in the world, but also comes familiar with the games that should deserve some respect. Keep it up Chris!

I'm shocked at IGN but in a pleasant way. I honestly hope no under-table bribes were necessary but my faith in game journalism is rather dead at this point. lol. Wanted to get WO3 this month but real life obligations took precedence first. Sometimes work comes before play. |

Recently IGN gave a LOT of shocking votes... like the negative one to Downpour ('cause the game is awesome for almost all the Silent Hill's fans) and this positive to Orochi 3 ('cause this is just... LOLWTF? All koei games have a -10001010101 score and now an 8.5? THIS IS 2012!!! Maya strikes back). But not only IGN... a lot of reviewers gave to WO3 a positive score (looks at metacritic). This is just awesome *_* I'm italian and I'm playing this awesome game right now... so I'm happy to see that this time no one is throwing **** on this title... |
