Ubisoft's conference was arguably the WORST E3 conference I've ever seen, bar none. Even worse than Kinect - it wasn't even internet meme worthy.

Then of course, AC3 had a great showing... Then right at the end! WOW! The Watch_Dogs. Amazing stuff, blew everyone away and rightly so.

Still, horrendous conference overall. If those games weren't there I don't know what they would have done.

EA was worse of the show so far for me. Bored out of my mind with that one. But Ubisoft had the best so far to me. The opening was good, showing some Wii-U, and dat AC was just awesome.

For anyone who doesn't know what Watch_Dogs is, here's the gameplay demo:

Superb says it all.

EA was terrible, Microsoft was boring. Ubisoft was godly in comparison to both. It was cheesy as hell and dude bro in the big screen was obnoxious and annoying, but the show had personality and it owned up to its awkwardness and was pretty chill.

Hoping Sony can at least match what Ubisoft did. So far, Ubisoft takes the show for me. Especially with Watch_Dogs, looks great. Excited to learn more about it.

The fact Ubi was dumb enough to open E3 with Dance 4 is ridiculous. Nobody that wants a game like that pays attention to E3. MS makes the same mistake with the constant Kinect plugs. Still not as godawful as MS though. Just a few more hours til Sony, which should ideally be a great show with Sly 4, Last of Us and Sony Smash

If no one cared about the dance games they would for one stop making them and pouring so much into them and secondly not have them at E3 in such a spotlight. There are gamers out there who are open minded enough to not only play shooters or platformers or RPGs.

Plus, they were pretty sexy girls, were they not? ;)

Some people tend to appraoch these things with a hipster mentality...it's a little odd.

Watch Dogs is definitely the best thing Ive scene so far at E3. Looks way good.
But seriously, Ubisoft doesn't know how not to embarrass themselves with ridiculous and obnoxious hosts year after year.

I've been pretty bored otherwise. Nothing else has really jumped out at me that got me excited.
Dead Space 3 honestly looks disappointing, as I don't care for co-op, and it seems to be moving away from being the only really good survival horror left standing.

I've not been moved by anything through out these conferences until Watch Dogs. Assassin's Creed 3 doesn't really count, it looked bad ass, but I was already expecting to see it. Watch Dogs was a great surprise.

But other than those two games, the only other two games that have me interested are Gears of War Judgement (Baird is my favorite character) and Tomb Raider, surprisingly enough.

Sony in about 30 minutes. So we'll see if anything else is worth it. Nintendo tomorrow...kinda excited about what the WiiU has to offer.

So far:

Tomb Raider - I was already sold days ago when I first saw the pre-E3 trailer.

Watch Dogs - Okay. I think it's a good game, but nothing OMG or new, it just looked good because others sucked.

Dead Space - I'm not liking the new go here, I'm feeling this game is losing the awesome survival feel it had.

DmC - Better, but still lacking the DMC feel.

Resident Evil 6 - Awesome as usual, can't wait for the game.

Completely agree with what everyone is saying, to be frank it's been a very, very bland and boring E3 - bar AC3 and Watch_Dogs. Microsoft were a (admittedly solid) but boring show. EA were almost as boring, but did show off some cool looking gameplay... kind of. Ubisoft are just an embarrassment - where on earth do they find their conference hosts? Seriously? Even Toby Turner (who's somewhat entertaining on Youtube) was horrible on stage.

Let's face it, if Ubisoft didn't have that Watch_Dogs demo right at the end, it would have been an absolute disaster - with the one exception of AC3.

Sony, by all means, should now completely blow everyone away so far. The only thing that should stand in their way of E3 domination is Nintendo, but that comes tomorrow. Sony should have a show packed with great games (most of which are exclusive). Honestly can't see them borking this one at all. They should 'win' on all accounts.

I didn't say nobody cares, just that the crowd at E3 is considerably less likely to be casual gamers and considerably less likely to care about non-core games and yet guys like MS, Ubi and especially Nintendo don't get that. They focus a ton on it at E3 and then complain they don't know why when the press conferences are poorly received.

EDIT: And yea, Sony almost always has excellent showings, independent of the quality of the others too, although the past 2 or 3 years MS and Nintendo didn't make it hard to top their conferences.

To be fair, it's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Not Video Game Expo.

Video games aren't the only thing that is being showcased. The fact of the matter is E3 has never been "just about the games", people just paid less attention to that aspect before and of course Nintendo and SEGA game conferences were never about it due to how they are set-up.
However the new controllers, the new sound boards, the new arcade boards, the webcams ,the video and audio cards, new Maya or Autodesk programs, furniture, VR machines and now Augmented Reality (some of which Nintendo latter bought after seeing it at E3 in a non-internet aired and small conference, motion controls, voice recognition software, wi-fi was introduced for gaming at an E3, Blu-Ray before PS3 was introduced, medical technology (push for better graphics and processing in games has actually led to a big push in medical technology), pre-iPad tablets, and so much more.

It's no CES of course, but Electronics has always been the focused. Magazines in the past just never focused on it before, because who cares about the capacity and RAM processing on a SEGA arcade board back in 1998?

No Michael Ironside for Blacklist...

Shame, I was looking forward to that game until they stripped Sam of his character.

Ironside is Splinter Cell.

Last of Us looks amazing. Sony showed more games I actually want than the other conferences combined. (exaggeration.)

Last of Us is going to be fantastic. Definitely my game of the show.

Can't wait to see what Beyond is going to play like. Looks like it will be a super compelling story regardless. Can't wait. Big Ellen Page fan, should be good.

Yeah, that Wonderbook stuff was definitely a snooze fest.

I play less and less games these days, so really only Last of Us, Beyond, PS All Stars, and Watch Dogs I can most certainly see myself playing. Other games like AC3 and Tomb Raider will be great no doubt, but my interest wanes.

Thanks for saving E3 Sony, you actually brought the games. Only one low point with that damn Wonderbook crap. But that's nothing compared to some of the rubbish we've seen today.

Last of Us was ridiculous. Probably the best live demo I've ever seen, so intense, personal and just flat-out amazing. God of War was just non-stop action, again great. PSASBR didn't show as many new characters as I thought, but Vita x PS3 play is a huge point. Not only that but Sony got Ubisoft out to show us those brilliant looking AC3 ship battles.

Now Nintendo have to match Sony - I hope they can. Sony were the best by a country mile, and the most professional. Same story as the last 2 years just about.

Sony was clearly the best for today but some was just flat. Beyond is something I definitely looking forward to and the AC vista game with a female lead... . Wonder book actually sparked a interest but its nothing I'd rush out and get for myself.

Not really feeling playstation all stars and GoW seems just same every time I see it at E3. Not saying that GoW won't be good but nothing blew me away with it.

The big thing about PSASBR (God, how many times do we have to say that) is the Vita x PS3 crossplay. Other than that, I totally agree.

Just for comparison's sake, when I see Super Smash Bros. I immediately think 'this looks brilliant.' PSASBR just hasn't reached that point yet at all. I don't know whether it's the polish of the overall product, the characters, or just the general vibe of the game. I want to love it but I'm finding it hard to get really pumped for it. For all we've seen, I can't help but feel it kind of looks like PSN game, rather than a full retail one.

Last of Us looked fine and all, but really Unchartedy, and I was kind of hoping it would be radically different.

Sly 4 though mang, Bout goddamn time we got a good new platoformer on next gen systems that weren't the Wii.

The main thing that interested me? The Last Guardian was a NO SHOW at Sony's E3 conference. It makes me think that the game probably is good and dead, now. Pitiable.

Ah well. Guess I'll have to wait til Nintendo's show tomorrow if I want a chance of seeing at least some Japanese games actually take center stage, instead of yet more shooters.
