I hope it's OK to open this Topic here in this section, since it seems to be a new franchise. If not, feel free to close it. Thanks to garnix for trying to get some infos from Chin regarding this. He just posted this info a few minutes ago in the DW7 DLC-thread.I somehow lost a great portion of interest in that new title. According to Chin's words, i mean "but this is a good one", i am not very convinced. Oh well, i'm open for everything and hopefully it is at least a musou game. But please not something like the other franchises Koei made in the last years. Although i liked games like Hokuto Musou, Gundam Musou and what they are all called, i would rather want to see a musou game about Korea. Highly unlikely. We will wait and see. Iirc, E3 is in 5th-7th June. Edited by ThreeKingdomsWarrior, Sun May 6, 2012 11:03 pm.

It's about time, I say. There hasn't been a new Koei announcement in a long time.

Hisashi Koinuma......who was that again? I must have forgotten his deeds. I know that Mr. Akihiro Suzuki is the producer of DW, and Mr. Kenichi Ogasawara the producer of Strikeforce and DW-Next. |

The games on which Hisashi Koinuma has worked; ▪ Kessen series - main programmer ▪ Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends - director ▪ Samurai Warriors series (all titles except pachislots, and social game) - producer, director ▪ Crimson Sea (both titles) - producer ▪ Dynasty Warriors: Gundam series - producer (for KOEI side) ▪ Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage - producer ▪ One Piece: Pirate Warriors - producer (for KOEI side) ▪ Pokémon Conquest - producer (for KOEI side) So, it's possible that this new game is not SW4... since Chin said it would not be a game that we are expecting, which probably refers to SW4. Well, I'm wondering what it may be, then. A new franchise? A new game like Hokuto Musou or Kaizoku Musou? We'll see~

Well, there is one games that they will reveal in this may, so it's not only in e3, but also one in may, personally i think it's dw7e, since to me they should wait 2 years for sw4 , so that they can have 10th year anniversary, but an sw4 is great too

Koinuma doesn't work on Dynasty Warriors, so whatever game he would have to announce wouldn't be a DW title. |

Here is what BlackKite explained on DW7 DLC topic. "Mr. Hisashi Koinuma isn't in charge of DW though. Yeah, the success of the Franchise Warriors have put him into the top brasses of the company, but there are still 2 main dev teams in Omega-Force under different supervisions. DW is handled by Akihiro Suzuki's team. You could say this is the original DW team. This team also handles WO and other in-company games like Bladestorm. And there's Koinuma's team who handles SW and the Franchise Warriors (Gundam, FotNS, One Piece)" So yeah, it is now obvious that the E3 game will not be a Dynasty Warriors, neither a Samurai Warriors, but a brand new franchise. This new franchise will most likely be a musou game. We will know it soon enough, as E3 is not that far from now. Anyway, as ZeeZeeGoo said, it seems another game will be revealed through Famitsu somewhen in May (probably DW7E, as this kind of extension doesn't deserve an E3 release). PS : yeah, I'm speculating a lot ! Sorry about this

Could just be me, but seeing that this is at E3, think it could be a potential western-based franchise? Like Lord of the Rings Musou or Star Wars Musou (as two random ideas)? Or it could be something completely non-Musou/Warriors related. |

Sounds very likely, since most all of their Eastern-themed games are announced in Famitsu or at a Japanese event. Does anyone remember where the announcement for Troy was made? |

Given that this is E3 we're talking about and not TGS, could be a Western-based Musou game, or heck, something new entirely. Heck, with Tecmo in the picture, it could be one of their games instead. Oh Star Wars Musou or Avatar Musou, will you never come to pass...

Might it FINALLY be a (re-)unveiling of "Ni-OH"? Too much to probably hope for, perhaps, but it would be a nice welcome change from yet another Musou release. Or hey, what'd make me even happier? A new Destrega, or a proper Dynasty Warriors fighting game, for first time since the ORIGINAL PSX release! I mean, why Koei hasn't taken advantage of the "fighting game revival" in any poignant way is still beyond me. Especially when they probably could make such a thing happen, if they wanted to. |

Probably because there's to much competition from companies that are actually seasoned in making a competent fighting game. I mean the first DW wasn't very good at all, even for its time. Now they're up against Street Fighter, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, BlazBlue, Mortal Kombat, MvC3, Soul Calibur, and many others. Fighting games appeal mainly to crowds who are very good at fighting games, and will criticize every single aspect of balance and mechanics. Warriors fans are very forgiving, but I'm afraid fighting game fans will tear Koei to pieces. With Koei's poor track record in regards to gameplay decisions and precision combat, even in their own specialty genre.... do you really think they should take another chance with the fighting game crowd? Even with Tecmo's help, DoA doesn't exactly get much attention for anything besides cleavage. Edited by Wild Lion, Mon May 7, 2012 3:05 am.

Could it be possible that we could see an official English Romance 12 announcement at E3? Last year at E3, they pushed Ninja Gaiden 3 on the crowd with little to no word, and probably rightfully so, on a Romance 12 announcement, eventually making it to Tokyo Game Show. I don't know how accurate this statement is, but there are quite a few people who do prefer to play Romance of the Three Kingdoms, including myself, for their strategy game needs. Also, with the low PC specs, that could indicate that it could head for consoles soon since they are considered low spec today than they were 4 years ago. |

Kessen and ROTK/NA series are developed outside Omega-Force and produced by Kou Shibusawa, so if we're talking about the game that's going to be revealed by Koinuma (that means: created and produced by Koinuma-san himself), it ain't going to be either of them. But yeah, I guess at this point whether the title he's going to reveal this month will be the same as his E3 announcement is the same or not, because it may affect the probability on which game it might turn out to be. Another brand-new anime franchise Warriors or a certain Warriors' 4th iteration would more likely generate more buzz in the Eastern side of the world. So if he's really going to announce a title at E3, that might have to do with either a western franchise, or a franchise that could also generate buzz in the West. So yeah, I'd assume that will be the likes of Star Warriors or Warriors (Lord) of the Rings... or maybe even a Fire Emblem Warriors exclusive for WiiU? |

If its being announced at E3, its almost certainly something a Western audience can identify with. |

It sure would be hilarious if that's it. On the other hand...thinking back to Warriors of Troy, a Western-based Warriors game, wasn't that, uh, not all that great? It makes me worried about what will happen, ESPECIALLY if it's really gonna be a Star Wars Musou game. I have a feeling that people might go bat crazy in a bad way if that happens. They'd much rather see Battlefront III. As a hardcore Star Wars fan myself, I can't even fathom about all the complaints. Masters of Teras Kasi was bad enough for botching up the lightsaber physics, but in a Warriors-type game it would just go nuts, and nitpickers will be onto it like mad. I recalled when I looked at the Japanese articles on the KOEI wiki Pokemon Conquest section, one of them stated (Honestly I used Google translator so it might not be true or correct) that the "head" of the KOEI company is still planning a Pokemon-Musou style game, but this is just from the article itself. Might be true, maybe not. If they make a game related to America/England/Egypt/Korean history, I'm excited to buy it. If anime like Bleach or Fairy Tale, try to find the hints from Bandai itself. Whatever it is, as long it's a musou style game, PS3 or not, I still wanna see the colours of it.
