At this point, I'm only interested in this mysterious picture from DW7 Jin ending and Ni-OH.
I don't know if I'm really excited about this "surprise" game anymore, since I have not been attracted to the games like Hokuto Musou, Kaizoku Musou or even Troy Musou. Although I'm still curious to know what game it is.

Koei did do the American Revolution thing way before Assassin's Creed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_or_Death_(video_game) Not that that game matters at all in relation to whatever this announcement is, but I always not-so-secretly hope they'll make Musou games based on all these old ones, so American Revolution Musou would indeed be cool.

So there has been nothing since the second star on Koei's facebook... (There was only one star on their Twitter!) So do you think the number is important? Though like others have said, it could be absolutely nothing.

@ZeeZeeGoo Far-fetched as it might be, I would be so happy to see a Star Trek Musou. Haha.

AFAIK, the game will be something that western usually like and will surprise anyone with it..what is SOMETHING that has things to do with europe and american...? The closest things i know is the American revolution war....i hope the "Siege of Yorktown" would be more epic than Sekigahara(THat is the decisive battle right?)

108 Stars/Water Margin musou might be neat though, I'd like that at some point in the future.

They've collaborated with Namco-Bandai several times now, we could get a Soul Calibur musou, I guess. I've seen some what-if discussion about such a game on here before.

OH yeah i also want suikoden musouk, but with suikoden characters of konami of course!!!
I see, if the stars they posted is the stars of 108 stars of destiny
Then suikoden musou would be real, and i hope they crossover it with the konami one, in konami version they got falenan civil war, toran war,etc...!

But that game has been rumored to have been published and developed by Koei America, not by Koei Japan.

However, throwing out that this is a Warriors game COMPLETELY, and say that it is a strategy game, would it be plausible that Koei is even considering developing the sequel to this game?

I honestly don't think DW7: Empires is the secret announcement since everyone was expecting it. Still, I can't believe this is worrying me as much as it is.

Ugh, just hurry and tell us already lol.

Don't forget, there are 2 secret announcement.
Chin said that there is one of them that we may already know about (DW7E?), and another secret nuclear bomb.

I was really hoping for a Gundam Musou 4 announcement, but I guess I'll have to wait until TGS for that one

I bought Gundam Musou 3 last week, been playing through it all week. Despite having very little knowledge of the Gundam series, I've been enjoying it a lot, and I'd be perfectly okay with a Gundam Musou 4.

Or, you know. Hokuto Musou 2. I better get that eventually, Koei.

Since Koei merged with Tecmo, what's stopping the secret announcement being something Ninja Gaiden related or something? I know it's Chin who's saying it, but still.

Personally, i'm hoping for a DW x FF crossover and i don't know why, but i have a feeling that this is gonna be the secret game.

Am saying ^^^ because Koinuma-san makes crossover games right (hope i'm not wrong  ? On the other hand, TECMO-KOEI has mentioned that it wants more collabs with different devs. That means a crossover game

The Gundam Musou series definitely is unique among the rest of the Musou games, it's a lot faster paced and a lot harder too, which is one of the reasons it's my favorite of Koei's franchises. But I don't think the GM games are popular enough in the West to warrant announcing it at E3 instead of TGS or through Famitsu. Same with Hokuto.

I think it's because the man in charge of SW is announcing the game at E3, not a Tecmo rep

Better keep your hopes pretty low, you dont wanna be devastated at the end if the game you wanted didnt show up lmao.

However, I would love a DW x FF crossover.

lol devastated? nah, i will not take it that seriously, but i would be dissapointed though.

Anyway, if DW x FF happens, i would LOVE to see Vincent Valentine & Sephiroth as playable characters

Being able to cancel into and out of the Emergency Dash is pretty great, one of the big things the Musou games would really benefit from is attacks having cancel frames (outside of being able to cancel into Musou attacks, I mean) Being able to Emergency Dash upon getting hit is pretty great too, makes me feel this is one of the only games that could have a decent, playable vs mode.

And yeah, it'd be silly to expect something regarding either Gundam or Hokuto at an event like e3 I guess.

And a decent versus/team versus mode is what the Warriors series sorely needs to stay afloat.

I'm excited to see what Koei have to show us in the next couple of days

I got an idea while looking at this pic, which was posted 2-3 days ago.
Spoiler: click to toggle
It is also assumed because of this pic that there could be a possible Square-Enix collaboration, since they are just sitting close to Koei.

But what about SEGA? Koei could also collab with them. And since there are those "star"-hints showing up, what about "Phantasy Star"? I scrolled back the pages and no one has mentioned it except ZeeZeeGoo. It is a possibility.

There is also another possibility through a SEGA-collaboration. I'm on a german gaming site, where it says, that SEGA is going to reveal a great title developed by Creative Assembly. This name should be familar. They have experience with War-games. Here is a (german) wiki-link about them. Look at the games below:
http://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creative_Assembly

The problem is, that SEGA isn't doing well. And it is said, that they are slowly giving up the west. That could be also their last great title.

Sega canceled their own Max Anarchy for western release(and since the beginning, madworld and MA was made with western audiences in mind!) and is just having rehashed games for their e3 booths, and suddenly a KOEI collab? yea right, i don't think they would go past the DOA5 cameo, and that's already old news

It could be another Chinese history like 10 Tigers of Canton or After Tiger Story or possibly Koihime Musou another Three Kingdom, female characters instead of male you never know until you find out on 6 June.

Now why in the heck would Western audiences be interested in that?

I think I've got another theory. The Stars relate to the American Flag. July 4 is coming up.

The new game is American Revolution Musou!

After I read your comment, I hope the secret announcement at E3-2012 is "American Revolution Warriors". That would be very cool.

If it is not the case, so, if the secret announcement at E3 is not "American Revolution Warriors", then I hope it is either "Final Fantasy Warriors", or "Star Wars Warriors", or "Soul Calibur Warriors", or "Bladestorm Warriors".

Okay, so... should we be expecting more of a crossover, or a rebirth?

As much as I would like a crossover, I would rather not since I think it would be too much for Koei to keep characters unique.

A rebirth is always the best thing since they haven't found that Western switch. I loved both Fist of the North Star and Legend of Troy; however, you have to be a die-hard Koei fan to be able to put up with those types of games.

There are many good animes that aired on *Netflix* with good english acting that could be turned into something promising.

Haha, just thinking about it, if Koei were to make *Sekirei Musou*, that would definitely sell in U.S. since we all know the western slogan "sex sells". lol

Anyways, Koei's big factor is the simple fact that, trying to figure out what's new always draw people in, especially me :/. They've always seem to have that going for them. The pre-release has more effect than the product :hehe:
