Well...if WO3 Special is the game they wanted to release in May...then, I'm really really really disappointed. I expected something a bit newer. Not a simple PSP port ![]() At least, they will present a brand new game at E3 |

Hmmm...let's see here: In the western region particularly around usa and europe, what war, what battles like musou that is famous? ONe thing i know, that is the war of the roses where jeanne d'arc appears and becoming a playable characters in Orochi 3, maybe the next game is the different kind of bladestorm as in bladestorm musou? If so the history of war of the roses needs to be deeper, who is the general, i mean i check wiki and the archives for the general are pretty small besides 3 kingdoms and Sengoku period. Uhmm.. the next one is maybe they want to take something from americans, but the Native one,it's like Age of empires 3: the warchief. So is there any...you know history of the war in this era like of the warchief? |

Koinuma doesn't work on Warriors Orochi 3, so any announcement about games he's involved with doesn't include that port. It also doesn't have anything to do with the DW7 team, which mentioned they had big news later this year as well. So there's still some announcements left for this month, most likely. |

I found it quite strange that KOEI would announce a new title at E3, anyway that made me think only that maybe the new game isn't anything they have high expectations for and will put much effort into. However, let's wait and see. |

Looks like KOEI's collab news is really giving a hint for E3's new game. It could be doing it with Capcom, though not highly since they're like competitions to each other. (Unless they're okay with it.) SEGA perhaps, after all Sonic and his gang are all beating up enemies/robots in so many ways. Square-Enix for FF would be highly possible and they do like to do spin-offs. Nintendo? MAybe a yes, maybe a no. But if yes, I got high expectations for an awesome game from them. Lastly would be Activision though for Spyro, though I doubt KOEI would collab a western game company. Hope it ain't Naruto.

Koinuma doesn't work on the Orochi series, so his announcement has nothing to do with that. |

Plus, I think the statement needs to be made clear. It's a WESTERN thing. Don't hold your breath for anything related to DW, SW, WO, or any of the Anime Warriors games or potential new properties for Anime Musou's. Especially considering that the PSP is treated as something that belongs in a museum in the US. That fact alone should be an indication that nothing of this WO3 PSP thing will even be mentioned for the US. Edited by Xalfrea, Thu May 10, 2012 1:25 pm.

Yes, it was a miracle that the west got Pirate Warriors and Pokemon Conquest at all, considering that One Piece and Pokemon are huge properties in Japan. I still put my money on a Final Fantasy Warriors game if it is one at all. Final Fantasy is a world wide recognized brand, and with SE's utter refusal to port Dissidia to the PS3, makes me wonder about their long term plans. |

For people who think that DW8, DWE7, or SW4 check out this link: http://thesilentchief.com/2012/01/06/new-dynasty-warriors-installment-coming-soon/ The next DW or SW game will most likely be announced at the end of the year my guess is either DW8 or SW4 seeing as they said it would be a "big annoucement". But I have read about the new title and I'm hoping it has something to do with a historic game western fans can relate to. I don't think it will have anything to do with Pokemon or LOTR (even though LOTR or Star Wars would be cool) Legends of Troy was a good attempt but there wasn't alot to work with there(not alot of warriors, battles, information). I want to see something they can actually work with. |

Probably DW7 Empires perhaps, considering Empires as DW's big top game. But if it's targeting West stuffs, I think they might be doing another popular related historical war like the American Civil War perhaps. Who knows? Maybe they might do Bladestorm or W: LOT 2. I would like to ask what game companies would KOEI wanna collab next? There's like quite a lot of game companies in Japan so I'm pretty lagging with the info stuffs here.

IIRC, reason why Troy didn't work was because...well, people disliked it as much as DW and SW. Proving that no matter what subject material, if it uses the same engine, it'll still be harped on. |

Seriously even though I do like some of Koei's games, their special announcement is probably some game that recycles the old musou engine or some game that will score like 3/10 in reviews. |

All because of game reviewers like IGN and Gamespot? Big deal. It may be the same game engine, but that's how games got their styles anyway. What about COD, Medal Of Honors and Battlefiled? They seem to have the same first-person shooting killing and dying stuffs. Tennis? There's a lot of tennis-themed games, just with different characters, theme and stuffs like Mario. It's just like that anyway so no need to fuss. All they need to do is just change the theme, story and every single game elements that's for sure.I wonder if KOEI's gonna surprise us all by collabing with a Western game company. If they do, who would they collab with? EA? Activision? Those that made LittleBigPLanet 2?

Don't you mean The Hundred Year's war? That's the one with Joan of Arc in it. It was between France and England. War of the Roses was an English Civil War between the House of Lancaster and the House of York(who both stemmed from the same house, but were different branches). |

I was hoping for a heian period musou game, very depressing period so the stories would be interesting and i would love to go into Yoshitsune and Benkei more as well as the other important people of the era. Think there was a rumor a whole back but if it's a western thing that Xalfrea mentioned, it could be a number of things so I'm interested to here more

Itīs not Kaizoku Musou 2, as the first wasnīt even released and neither Gundam nor Troy of Legends would spark any "real" interest at an E3 next to a new Call of *BAM BAM BAM GRENADE HEADSHOT* Duty. SW4 and DW8 will probably still take some time, so what else remains? Fist of the Northstar 2? Jojoīs Bizarre Musou Adventure? Or something not anime related? I doubt itīs Lucas Arts...but what else could be meant? Itīll be interesting. But seeing as itīs presented at the E3 and the hype Assassinīs Creed has created: Freedom Warriors. It will span the timeline from the American Revolution to the Civil War. Sabers, Axes, Flintlocks, Bayonettes, Cannons, Knives and so on. And by god, theyīd be crazy enough to do this... |

When i saw the first posts about Star Wars Musou, or Lord of the Rings Musou, i was sure that those were just some jests. But maaan.....some of you seem serious with that . This wouldn't only be too good to be true, i couldn't even dream about something like that.Hisashi: "Hello Mr. Lucas. I'm Hisashi Koinuma from Koei. I would like to make a Musou-game in Star Wars-style and want to ask you..... George: "Uhm sorry, who are you again? Never heard of you. I have no interest." Hisashi: "Hmpf. I bet if Capcom would have called you, you would have consented." George: "Who the hell is Capcom?" Hisashi: "Eh....forget it. May the force be with you." George: "And with you too. You'll need it." @ SRS: They gave WO3 8,5/10 to be exact. But i think it has just something to do with Chris Schilling. Edited by ThreeKingdomsWarrior, Sun May 13, 2012 12:58 am.

I think that is stretching it a bit too far. DW and SW games are usually announced at Tokyo Game Show, not E3, despite the Empire's popularity in the West. And a simple analysis of the Warriors Engine itself should provide a few clues as to what the next game should be. Note: this is based on my recollection of the games and so it may not be accurate. All Warriors games have this common thread: 1. All playable characters have a blade of some sort as a primary weapon. 2. All projectiles(units) are usually controlled by CPU. 3. All attacks/controls are usually the same throughout each game, two primary attack buttons(strong and weak), a jump button and a energy, or team attack. Taking these three factors into consideration, we can safely rule out any European/American war that was fought after 1700-1800 since guns were, since that time period, became the primary weapon of warfare. |

Melee weapons were still used during the period of 1700-1800 and probably a bit later than that as well. And the "all characters have a blade weapon as a primary weapon of some sort" isn't true. Zhenji has a Flute, Guo Jia has a stick and balls, Zhou Yu has a Bo staff, Oichi used to have a cup and ball, Xu Zhu has a club, Yoshihiro has a hammer. And many other characters have none bladed weapons. Bladed takes up a large bulk of the WO3 cast with 77 and 55 none bladed American revolution (which I highly doubt they'll do, just an example) can still follow the pattern with Melee weapons they didn't all have muskets and bayonets or any firearms. They can easily find a way to do such things. Look at Masamune he has the best of both worlds a Saber and firearms Edited by Li_An_Di, Sun May 13, 2012 11:29 am.
