Hi Garnix Agreed :D. Koinuma san just twitted something about SWC2nd a few hours ago, which means it's obviously the famous "May announcement". I though Chin said the above game was not the game Koinuma san was going to reveal. oh well. I will have to wait for the DW team for 7Empires Announcement. There I said Edited by Terrorcons45, Thu May 24, 2012 11:44 pm.

I did not say that. Somebody said something, without proof by the way, and everyone in this thread, including myself, have taken it way out of context or have ran with this false news for nearly a month. Could the "Mystery E3 Announcement" could have been Samurai Warriors Chronicles 2nd? Seeing as E3 is a week from Monday, it could very well be. It also could very well be because Koinuma only works on Samurai Warriors titles. That still doesn't explain Chin's announcement. With LucasArts unveiling project Star Wars 1313 at the expo, I don't think that because EA released The Old Republic MMO within the past year, that Lucas would be willing to work with any developer, especially ones from Japan, for a while. Although, something just now struck me. Look at your windows calender for January 3rd, 2013. Now write it out in numbers, month first please. Does that indicate a release date to you for this project 1313 for Europe, since Europe's release dates usually fall on a Thursday? Edited by Sanji Himura, Fri May 25, 2012 2:48 am.

You're missing out DW6, which EU release date would be 7 march 2008. And DW6E which is 26 june 2009. Though, I think it would be more relevant to use JP release dates since after all it originated from there. DW2: Aug 2000 (start from here since it's the actual start of SSM) DW3: Sep 2001 (1Y+1M since DW2) - DW3XL: Aug 2002 (11M since DW3) DW4: Feb 2003 (1Y+5M since DW3, 6M since DW3XL) - DW4XL: Sept 2003 (7M since DW4) - DW4E: Mar 2004 (6M since DW4XL) DW5: Feb 2005 (2Y since DW4, 11M since DW4E) - DW5XL: Sep 2005 (7M since DW5) - DW5E: Mar 2006 (6M since DW5XL) DW6: Nov 2007 (2Y+9M since DW5, 1Y+8M since DW5E) - DW6S: Oct 2008 (11M since DW6; literally DW6's XL) - DW6E: May 2009 (7M since DW6S) DW7: Mar 2011 (3Y+4M since DW6, 1Y+10M since DW6E) - DW7XL: Sep 2011 (6M since DW7) (MultiRaid/DWSF weren't included because they were developed by another team led by Ogasawara) If you notice there are much more factors within those increasing gaps of release between the main numbered games. Between DW4 and DW5, KOEI released SW1, and by now the Warriors series have encompassed various timelines and also franchises. Then there's also the quality advancement for each main sequels; longer production time is needed to create better quality. Which is why it's an extremely low chance that DW8 will be out soon and why DW7E is much more probable IMO. Personally I'll start expecting DW8 from around latter half of 2013. Heck, maybe we might even see the PS4 around the horizon by then. ![]() PS. some random extra

Yeah, but BlackKite, that still doesn't fully explain or even given us a clue about their announcement. All it tells us is that there is a pattern of longer developmental periods between each game in the franchise. All of it good news because I would have been angry if they one off a DW game each year like Activision treats their Call of Duty franchise as a potential money maker. |

If they don't reveal DW8 at TGS, there are high chances it will be a PS4 launch game. Which is the first good reason for me to buy a PS4. =) Well, they may even release PS4 in early 2013, and thus DW8 would probably be on PS4 as well, even if they announce it at TGS. So, I guess the main point of E3 now, is Sony press conference ![]() Will they announce the PS4 ? Will they show their plans to give a new life to the Vita ? Will they show a new device for PS3 ? E3 is not so far from now anymore =) |

The thing is, we don't know. All of this arguing for the last five or so pages hasn't drawn any reasonable conclusions other than the infamous "May announcement," which is Samurai Warriors Chronicles 2nd. Which puzzles me because last year they[KOEI] decided to forgo a May announcement and pushed Ninja Gaiden 3 hard at E3 and ultimately announced Romance of the Three Kingdoms 12 at the Tokyo Game Show. |

Community Managers are the worst kind of teasers lol I wonder which game would be that... Just a quick round of facts: The Genghis Khan Strategy Series were pretty popular in the times of the SNES and PS1. Also, in 2010, KOEI filled a trademark in Japan for Genghis Khan. |

Did he HAVE to use the word "nuclear bomb"? Now I'm getting super excited and curious as to what it may be. I just hope it's not as big of a let down announcement like One Piece Musou was (for me). Was super hyped, revealed it was OP, and all interests just plummeted from there. I didn't even realize it was released in Japan already... wait, is it? |

Now he's setting this up as something huge.... they better not disappoint after an analogy like that. I highly doubt it's a strategy game. They don't get any kind of love in the West, and iirc are a niche even in Japan. I don't think it could be Crimson Sea 3, no matter how much I want it to. The only thing I could think of that big would be a collab with a huge franchise like Star Wars, X-Men, or something along those lines. |

Yeah OP is out for a while now (since december I think), and it scored pretty good sales. http://andriasang.com/con0wy/namco_bandai_sales/ Honestly, I'm expecting a high disappointment from this E3

See, goes to show how much my interests plummeted just for being One Piece. I heard it's coming to the West but no release date was given yet, though, so those that are excited for it will get it. Eventually. God I hope it doesn't have that derpy rap from the American TV show... >=v Yeah, anyway, my different tastes aside, nothing to do but wait and see what this 'nuclear bomb' will be. I so want a Transformers hack-n-slash but Activision's already working on one with Prime (though they mentioned that it's mostly being done in Japan, but that could easily just be a department of Activision set in Japan.) Or maybe a true Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles one. Aw **** yeah! |

I hope this isn't another Crossover game. Unless it was Claymore or something. I'd rather it be a new IP, or a sequel to Bladestorm, Trinity, or Troy. |

A new IP would be nice, but new IPs from Koei would be risky, or have been. I mean, look at the success of Troy Musou in the West. Oh, that's right. It wasn't. But maybe they've found the secret to success this time around? |

Well if it's appearing at E3, they either have a lot of confidence in it, or they know it's guaranteed to sell, since it's attached to another, more western friendly IP. |

While I think we all want a great new IP that becomes a hit, it seems that every new IP Koei tries that's not a crossover is met with blank stares, even from their own fans. So a crossover is really the only thing that makes business sense right now, unless they've got something radically different enough to put this much confidence in. And we all know Koei's aversion to anything radically different |

One Piece not interesting? Itīs like saying Machiavelliīs Il Principe is bland or That game companyīs Journey is boring. Just sayin ![]() Give it a try, itīs actually fun Warriors games are all about the Slashing and thatīs done more than right in OP Warriors. And Transformers? Yep, Activision holds the rights for doing that. Bleach is momenteraliy a Sega thing, Naruto is Bandai-Namco. Dragonball too. Fist of the Northstar is allready a Koei game, Gundam and One Piece too. Fairy Tail is also in another companies hands. So all the "big" mangas are allready "under controll". So itīs either a totally new timeline (Rome? War of independence? Crusades?), another manga (Jojoīs Bizarre Adventure? Code Geass? Gintama ?) or a totally new IP (like Crimson Sea back then)Though that nuclear bomb thing...meh. I just canīt get my hopes up anymore. Though all the more joy if itīs actually a megaton announcement. |

Well, just not a fan of the original subject matter. OP is too over the top for me and has gone on entirely way too long for me to want to sit down and give it a chance. It might be good, but with so many volumes and episodes, I just can't see myself wanting to invest the time and effort it would take to know WTF is going on. I just don't have the stamina I used to as far as long winded anime goes... I think Sailormoon and DBZ killed that part of me years ago. I might rent the game when it does come to the states and go in blind. Who knows... there's no definite street date and really it'll be a matter of if I have the money or the time to invest in that game. Until then, zero interests. And if they are going to be risky with a new IP, then they actually need to... you know... promote it? Don't just leave it to the small fanbase you have in the West to do that for you; look what happened to Trinity and Troy because of that. Regardless of what it is, we'll see in a few days. |

Ah, you donīt need to. If you rent it, the characters you can play as will be fun, no matter how little you know about them. Zoroīs three sword style kick serious butt no matter how you see it. BTW...nuclear bomb...Tecmo-Koei...could it be: Their first "real" project together? Maybe weīll see a new IP that isnīt Musou/Hackīn Slash like, but a game done by both. Maybe a crossover or an entirely new franchise. Now thatīs something Iīd like to see, maybe the nuke isnīt too far fetched
