So I've been hearing people talking about Katawa being counted as a game. I personally prefer it as type of a manga since it is considered a visual novel, does anyone else have an opinion on the matter? |

I'd definitely still consider it a game myself. A lot of the typical style games could technically be considering a similar argument but you still do have the usual pattern of the user/player making a decision that effects the outcome or specific path. It is really no different from your typical Visual Novel style used in a lot of RenAi or mystery games. The animation choice and direction doesn't it make it any less game and more manga. It's a game you are playing rather than being closer to a played out novel. Even the likes of CD dramas are closer in the sense of it being a set story being played out rather than one you are influencing to the outcome yourself.

When you put it that way it does make a whole lot of sense, I never really thought of it that way since I was more hook on the story. I'm happy to see also that there are people who actually will take out the time to actually explain their opinion rather then just saying right out their opinion and have no evidence behind it whats so ever. |
