Since there's already a topic about Fu Xi, and I don't see a sole topic on Nu Wa, I thought I'd create one.

I like her in this incarnation of DW5's Xtreme Legends. She's got a wonderful S string, great 3-hit C1, a great C3, and a wonderful Musou (both normal and True). What I don't like about her is her 4th weapon--no Life or Musou bar bonuses and no Defense bonus. I suppose that could be a tradeoff for the wonderful attack and great Charge bonus on her weapon too.

So what are your thoughts about Fu Xi's sister (and wife)?

I thought she was the best female character in DW3. She was cute, fast and deadly. Her musou can do quite a high combo also....

Killer musou! I could do without the supposed incest though.

I had never played DW5XL so I didn't know what to except when I tested Rapier moveset in DW5E. For my surprise, the moveset had gone uphill after DW4. The Musou attack is fun to use this time and I always start to drool when I activate Musou Rage and unleash my Musou attack to frozen enemy officer (probably the strongest attack against single enemy) :o.

Haven't you read history of ancient Egypt or/and Rome? Getting married with your relative was common back then >_>. Same thing goes for ancient Chinese (Nu Wa and Fu Xi) and Greek (Zeus and Hera) gods for example.

I don't want to go off topic, but I thought you could marry your relative at certain places in the world even nowdays.

Indeed, I've heard of that, same as I've heard of even more disturbing things, just not something you'd think that Koei would put into a Dynasty Warriors game...

Well KOEI did put them into DW3 as bonus characters after you've cleared certain characters' Musou's (completing Sun Jian, Cao Cao, and Liu Bei's Musou's unlocked Fu Xi, while completing the Musous of Sun Shang Xiang, the Qiao sisters, and Zhen Ji unlocked Nu Wa). But I think KOEI took them out after that because of that incest thing (cringe) besides not being useful other than Free mode. Of course, I could be wrong on the first part.

I don't think Koei took them out for this reason! Well to fill number of characters list probably, because they did the same with Kunoichi on SW!

Nu Wa is one of my favourite characters in DW3. Her moveset is good, and she has an excellent style ^^ Her weapon (Pink Rapier) is very pretty  .

We can't know exactly why Koei took them out after DW3, we just can supose why.

In Chinese Legends, Nu Wa was a half woman / half snake, and she was the goddess who created humans. She was described as a good goddess. ;)

I never really liked her that much due to her limited crowd abilities, but her musou is really devastating. Aside from the statement above I don't really have much else to say about her other than she has a cute outfit and she strikes really fast.

I can never successfully pull off her (clothes) C6 on an officer. Always bothered me. Also I hate her high pitched squeals. However she is a badass character and I love her moveset speed and her weapon. I love rapiers.

Also she's without a doubt the easiest person to use for higher defense shields from gate captains.

I adore Nu Wa, now more than ever. I liked the DW3 design, but really my first exposure to her was through her rapier moveset in DW4. That was my first DW character ever, so the moveset holds a special place in my heart.

That being said, there wasn't a huge amount of personality to work with considering the only game she was in; she was a Free Mode character. Now with her being a relatively major character in MOMS, we're seeing how she interacts with people. Her interaction with Cao Cao is going to be a highlight for me, because here's someone who's essentially playing him - with altruistic reasoning - as much as he plays people.

And I would love to see some interaction between her and Fu Xi! Are they married in this, or siblings, or partners or what?

Also - I am a bigger fan of her initial design (the one you can see in her wallpaper in MOMS) than her final. :(

I agree on this, though I do like the classy gloves the final version has.

Classy gloves are classy, definitely! ^_^
I wonder why they didn't even include it as a third costume. Oh, the thought process...

EDIT: Here's an adorable Nu Wa, Nagamasa & Xiahou Dun peice I found. <3

Ew, lets hope they're not both! Probably bro and sis tho.
Nu Wa's moveset is bad-ass! Her MS in DW4 and 5 would always be used for me in the game! The pokey-pokey musou has got to be one of the best, with Pang De and Zhou Tai :)

I don't get why people compare Nagamasa to her, their attacks are completly different. OK, maybe the pokes, but thats it

A very endearing peice of fanart, featuring a younger Taigong Wang.
That tends to be a prevalent theme with them among fanart.

I would also like to agree on this! I was disappointed when her old costume was not brought back for the WO2 3rd alt.

I wish the DW4 Nu Wa would have kept her jump charge attack. Her jump charge in DW5 looks too similar to other characters... and Da Ji in WO has that same move as well so I am hoping Nu Wa gets a better jump charge for WO2.

The whole exposed bear chest, single layered bra for upper armor, high white stockings and the long white hair really aren't working for me. Her face is outstanding though! Koei did a good job as I find myself lost in that face and my eyes seem to get glued

Agreed. Why is she basically wearing a fancy bra? Surely they could have given her a shirt. Being a goddess, there isn't really a practical reason for her to wear armor; but it's still rather... Well, it's not anachronistic since Nu Wa really has had much of a personality at all before this game. But still.
